This location gives U-Haul a good name. Well-managed, friendly and knowledgable staff. They go out of their way to answer any questions they can. Equipment is decent and Toby Anders, the manager there runs a great shop. Recommend.

I wish I could give a 20 star review for Toby Anders! We were customers who had rented a trailer at a different location where the lights weren’t connecting to our truck due to us thinking it was a fuse from our truck, we drove off and then changed the fuse and had no luck. We drove into the U-Haul in Poway and received help from Toby. He went above and beyond to help us. We have never had such amazing customer service. Thank you so much Toby for all your help.

I had a quick turn around van rental and Toby was awesome. He had me in and out in a hurry, without making me feel rushed. He answered my questions about supplies, walked around the van with me, pointing out the newness of it. He clearly takes pride in what he does and is good at it. Thank you, Toby!

They rent trucks with 1/8 tank of gas and ask you to put gas in the rental for supposed credit. They enter false mileage driven when the truck is returned. Make sure you document everything with pictures so you don’t get overcharged. And be prepared to wait at the counter. Employees are no where to be found. Completely unprofessional!

The 26 ft local truck (with 183k+ miles) needs some TLC. It shakes badly on the highway and the headlights are barely seen. Also the truck was provided to me only with 5/16 of a tank of gas which is unacceptable.

After having time suddenly move to another state I went to uhual on Poway road and Mary and Sam were both so amazing and compassionate and empathic to what I was going through and went above and beyond to take care of me. I recommend them to anyone needing to move anything

Toby is absolute best customer service & support representative I’ve ever worked with! He’s Extremely good at his job, very nice & funny, and will help make the entire process quick and painless!! U-haul if you’re reading this, you need to take care of this guy extra, he’s worth more than whatever you’re paying him!I don’t have much experience with other storage facilities but this one definitely is not bad by any means. The Location is convenient, and part of it is air conditioned (somewhat).If you’re in a stressful moving situation, make sure to ask for Toby, he will make it so much easier on you! And also cheer ya up with funny jokes at the right time.Thank you Toby!
