This comment and rating is not about the Pomerado location. I am very disappointed of my experience with the customer service center:
My initial reservation was with Carlsbad which would have been only a 5 minute drive from my home. However I got a call from customer service stating the 15ft truck was no longer available in Carlsbad so my pickup was changed to Escondido 30 mins away. However, when I got to Escondido they did not see my reservation in their system and did not have a 15ft truck available. I called customer service again and they once again moved my pickup to this Poway location which was an additional 30 mins away. On that same call I asked the representative to call the location to confirm they have the truck available, she stated she confirmed with them and that I was on my way. When I get to the Poway location they tell me once again they did not see my reservation come in and the only 15ft truck at that location was already reserved. However, he was nice enough to give me that truck from someone else's reservation and he would deal with that customer. Later in the day I called the customer service center again expressing my disspointment in their lack of actually transferring my reservation to the various locations they told me to go to. They denied any wrongdoing. When I asked what compensation could be made for the poor customer service and having to drive an hour and a half round trip just to pick up the equipment they stated all they could do is increase the allotted miles or add a day to the rental which neither I did not need.
I understand the point they made that equipments get dropped off late by other customers and have to be moved around but, the fact that each location I was moved to did not even see my reservation transferred was a huge miss on customer service. I was on a time crunch with movers arriving at my home and had to reschedule their arrival due to the wild goose chase I was sent on by UHaul. This added stress was very disappointing. I would expect some sort of monetary compensation for this very poor experience.

had to put fuel before we could use it. vehicle was sent out with only a quarter tank of fuel. i've rented from other uhaul dealers before and they send their units out with full tanks.

Incredible customer service. Visiting this UHaul location was a breath of fresh air amidst a stressful move. They went above and beyond to help me out with my wiring, my hitch, and the trailer hook-up. This might be my favorite UHaul to date. I cannot recommend this location enough. Thank you!!

I can't say enough good things about our visit to this U-Haul store. Sam provided exceptional service and was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. His assistance made a potentially stressful situation much more manageable. We are grateful for his help and will undoubtedly return here for our future moving needs. Highly recommend this location!

We had an excellent experience at this U-Haul location. Sam was incredibly helpful and made the entire rental process smooth and easy. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for our move. We appreciate his outstanding customer service and will definitely recommend this store to our friends and family. We'll be coming back again for sure!

Words can’t express how thankful i am for Sam he helped us move from CA to another state while other offices told us our reservation got canceled the day before we had to leave and they can’t help us and we would have to wait another week for a u-haul he made the impossible possible and had us on our way, whatever u-haul needs i recommend this place no matter if you are far it’s worth it they treat you like family and go above and beyond for their customers. Thank you guys so much !!!

Sam was the best. Exceptional customer service and communication. Never thought I'd leave a review for a Uhaul place but they earned it. I wasn't going to be able to make it back in time before the lot was closed up, I was about to drive my car a couple blocks and walk back when Sam offered to move his car to another spot in the lot allowing me to park in his private spot so pickup would be easy.11/10.
