Shelly is incredibly accommodating and the rooms are delightful and very clean. This is especially convenient to the courthouse as it’s right across the street.

A beautiful location, a cozy and comfortable room that was charmingly decorated. Very spacious shower and oh my the bed was so inviting. 10 out of 10 will definitely stay again. We stayed in the Edward room and perhaps next year we'll try the cottage. I only wish we had planned for more time

Charming historic building and set of cottages. Right in town so you can walk to pretty much anything happening in Quincy. Rooms are comfy and well kept.

We've stayed here twice—first in the Edwards room and more recently in the Hideaway Cottage. Both stays were fantastic! If you're looking for a simple, clean, and quiet retreat in Quincy, this is a perfect choice. It's just one block from Main Street, with easy access to pizza, a charming co-op market, great breakfast spots, and a fun dive bar—all within walking distance!

I am thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and needed a rest. What an absolute treat to find The Featherbed Inn! I wish I could move in! Charming, clean, quiet, comfortable, even classy in its unique way! Bed was a dream & excellent pillows too. Window views to trees and AC for hot, summer afternoons. Fridge, microwave, coffee, cream, & a tub. Amazing! Shelly (owner) is super sweet as well. Highly recommend!

The best place to stay in town! If it makes sense for you, I would stay here over anywhere within an hours drive. It is a quaint, converted home, that is cozy and well cared for! The booklet they have in the room is full of neat information and hot spots around the area and in town; which is only a 5 minute walk from here! The rooms are clean, the staff is responsive and helpful, and it is in a great location whether you’re just visiting Quincy or all of Plumas county. HWY 70 and HWY 89 are immediately accessible. Very happy when I get to stay here!
Rooms: There are not many rooms here, and they vary slightly, but they are all comfortable and clean.
Nearby activities: There are a lot of outdoor adventures you can get into in Plumas county.
Safety: I felt completely safe here.
Walkability: The downtown has little shops and restaurants and it is a 5 minute walk away!
Food & drinks: Everywhere worth eating at or drinking at is a short walk away.
Noteworthy details: It is a historic building, and it feels like it! That’s not a bad thing, but don’t expect a high-tech, brand new room. Remember where you are!

Really comfortable room in a quiet location. I was traveling for work and they were very accommodating. I wish I had more time to stay and enjoy the lovely place. It’s a destination in itself.

I’ve been staying here quarterly for 20 years thru 3(?) owners (plus a handful of others before. As a woman-own business & the stellar accommodations/experience, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The rooms are antique decor with appropriate modern updates that I feel like I’m visiting my grandparents home - with that same family familiarity touch. So pleasant, quiet, and comfortable (the beds are amazing!). Did I say the rooms and cottages are peaceful and quiet? Shelly is so responsive, friendly, and accommodating, I’d feel cheated to stay anywhere else.

I recently stayed 3 nights in the Courthouse Cottage. The room was large and well appointed. It was sparkling clean. Bed super comfy with lovely linens. I loved having a private patio and also seating on the front porch.Shelley and Colin were great hosts and should be proud of their establishmentand grounds! I'll be back for another restful stay.
