This foundation/rescue is really special. My daughter and I began volunteering here a couple of months ago and have been blown away by the facility, the staff, the other volunteers, as well as all their programs. They work to rescue senior pets (dogs and cats over the age of 7) from shelters all over SoCal and place them in homes. When you adopt from FFF, all vet care is covered for the rest of that animal's life (assuming you can make the drive to Ramona). There are multiple programs for getting to know the animals - a morning group hike (for dogs), Open House on the weekends, a day-long outing (for dogs, maybe to PetsMart, a nearby winery, or local dog-friendly restaurant), a 2-week foster (called a "Fling"), Freedom Rides (picking dogs up from shelters and bringing them to FFF), and of course, fostering until adoption (either by younor someone else). They will board senior dogs whose owners lose housing or experience a medical emergency, until they can return home. The website lists other programs...there are so many!FFF works really hard to get as much info as possible on the website and on social media so folks get an idea of what each animal is like. If you're considering adding a furry family member, there really is no downside to adopting a senior, and there's no better place to do it than from Frosted Faces

I visited the Foundation today and I donated belongings, food and medicines from my Myah, an Alaskan Malamute whom passed two weeks prior. The work you all do is just incredible, you give these senior dogs a beautiful, loving and comforting place to live and be. God Bless you all.

Emailing is the best form of communication with this establishment.

Went there after I lost a dog. Great place, staff was most informative and helpful. It’s nice to find a place that places older pets. I’ll go there again when it’s time.

I seen how they care for senior animals and give them the care they need to live out the rest of their life, and that just warms my heart to see that. And now I know that me and my family did the right thing by putting little Suki in their hands. Although it still breaks my heart to have let that baby girl go.?My heart goes out to all of you at Frosted Faces Foundation!❤️

I have never been to this rescue but so admire they don't give up on "seasoned" animals especially in CA where the killing in shelters is so out of control. This is a wonderful alternative as long as the CA shelters will reach out to rescues before killing animals for space. I hope one day laws will be better for animals. They are smarter than a lot of humans esp with lawmakers lately!

Amazing facility! We went during their open house on Saturday. The place seems well organized. Seven separate enclosures with grass and plenty of shade. There is a kennel for large dogs. All clean and well maintained. We would definitely adopt from this organization!

This is the best place! It’s magical here and if you’re thinking of adopting a senior dog that has so much love to give, you came to the right place. After the loss our 18 year old (Nilla) and having her since she was a puppy, we weren’t sure if we were ready for another dog, but we met the second love of our lives at frosted faces (Everly). We took Everly out for a fling (this is a 2 week foster program they have) and we knew during that time that we must have her as part of our family forever. I never thought that I would get so much love in return when we adopted her, but we did! She helped us heal so much and we did everything together and never left each other’s sides. Since she recently passed and we knew we wanted to help another dog, we took another dog (Bee) on a fling and she warmed up to us within a week and once again we decide to adopt her. How lucky we are to have found 2 amazing dogs here in such a short time. These senior dogs are so loving and deserving of a forever home. Please come to frosted faces for an open house on Sat or Sun from 10 am - 1 pm and see for yourself! Fling a dog! The possibilities for love are endless:)I want to send the biggest thank you to everyone at frosted faces! Thank you for all your care and compassion for all these sweet frosted faces.

Frosted Faces is an absolutely amazing organization! They kept excellent care of my babies in a time of need, and I am forever grateful to Kelly, Alicia, Bella and the whole team there! They are all selfless human beings who dedicate their time, love and resources to truly help kids with fur, but also to folks in a time of need. Not to mention that actual facility itself is so nice, so clean, calm and peaceful. Its a beautiful sanctuary. Thank to the whole FFF Team, we are all so grateful!

It's amazing how much they do for older dogs. Our daughter adopted a dog from them. Billie needed some extra examinations, and they took care of everything. The compassion the staff has for not only the dogs but also for the owners. If you want to make an older dog's life have more meaning, this is a great place to start.

Thank you for all you are doing for senior animals. These are often more difficult to find appropriate homes, as they are most fragile and their needs are great. Even the rare lower star review here confirms you do very well with caring for these souls, and have their best interest above all else. This is what is most important, as they have but just a short precious time left ?.
