good prices, but customer service is mediocre at best. communication is terrible. i've calling for several days to get a refill since my tank is empty. after 4 days of being told to expect a call back to schedule that, i was told that i'm "probably" on the route for a refill tomorrow. when i asked if there was any possibility of getting on the route for today since i've been without hot water etc for 4 days, i was told "sorry, unfortunately not" and then was hung up on. so, yah.

Second time in a row now I have ordered propane and it’s not been delivered, ordered online and message says someone will call to confirm, NO CALL, so I call and was told you are on the Tuesday delivery, NO DELIVERY, so I call again, was told delivery would be 2/3/2024, guess what? NO DELIVERY, this is absolutely pathetic customer service, also a complete lack of management to control personnel from lying to customers, hey Kamps!! If you don’t want the business, step up and say it , don’t treat us like we don’t matter, treat enough people badly, then you don’t matter!!!!

My husband and I just moved into our house and were told by sellers not to worry about propane as it was just filled and paid for. One afternoon while I was in the shower someone from Kamps came to our front door and when I didn't answer they kindly let themselves onto our property and into our backyard to put a lock on the propane tank, I was home alone and in the shower! I discovered this later using my Ring recordings. I understand that the previous owners had an agreement with Kamps allowing them to come onto their property but they had no agreement with me at the time they came onto my property! They left a notice on our door and without even 24 hours our propane was shut off. The next morning I went to make myself breakfast and realized we had no gas... I was 8.5 months pregnant at the time. We were left with no hot water or gas for over 24 hours while we figured out this mess. We are strongly considering getting an attorney.

There is a reason they only have 2 stars. Avoid doing business with them. Don't waste your time, these people are not reliable at all and are unprofessional.1st attempt at trying to get a recertification on my propane tanks... I drive up to their facility during normal work hours, their facility was open but they where not providing service. Unable to speak to anyone on site I call and left a message explaining that I was waiting outside, never got a call back so I returned back home. 2nd attempt I called before showing up at the facility to make sure they are open and operational. Unable to reach anyone I fallow the instructions and make sure to show up during the hours stated in their automated system. Unfortunately they where open but again non operational. 3rd attempt I called before showing up at the facility, I make sure to leave them a message asking about their operation hours. They return my call and tell me that yes they are open. I show up to the facility an hour later only to find an empty office, some old lady comes out screaming talking about how I should of called before showing up, telling me how they are busy doing interviews and can not provide service. This was literally 1 hour after I had just spoke to her on the phone. Never again, I rather take my business somewhere else. Again avoid these people.

Bought a house. Did not know it was on a propane service. They came shut and off our propane with no warning and then wanted us to wait for them to turn it back on. Would not ever do business with a company like this.

I will say that Kamps drivers have always been wonderful. They have gone out of they way every time throughout my 4 years working with them. (There is the 1 star).The office staff is a different story. Even the drivers have made negative comments as to the lack of knowledge & capabilities of the office girls. For this reason I went elsewhere.I have never been on auto pay and when cancelling, I stated in writing- that I would mail a check. However, Sarah Garcia has really kept me on my toes by debiting and crediting my bank account WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION 6 times in 9 days. I cannot reach the office via telephone as it goes only to emergency which stopped returning calls several months ago. She wont respond to emails, I cannot reach the owner or anyone else.At one point I had to contact another office just to see if they could reach the Ramona branch! What a way to ruin a business.I finally had to report Kamps to my financial institution and have my attorney on stand by.If you are in search of a propane company, pass this one up!

I never leave reviews but this company is awful. Been with them since Patriot opened the company and it was great to do business with them. When Kamps took over with new manager Jeff Jones. This company went in the tank. So sad, they are expensive, unreliable, and he us the rudest person ever. No surprise they get lousy reviews.

Took less than 2 minutes to schedule a fill. Unfortunately it took over 20 times of calling after being put on hold and hung up on. They need a new receptionist!

I have dealt with Kamps for many yearsAnd in the beginning they weren't half bad..They let me make payments on my propane and would come fill me as soon as they could Normally the next Monday if I was that low..Recently I was told I'm not on a stay full because I missed a payment when my mother passed away..That's fine I never was on a stay full! Not they say I am on a stay full came twice in 4 weeks filled me twice??? Charges me $1000!!Telling me I'm on a stay full lolThe driver left trash and never gave me a bill even I found them in the DIRT! And sent them pictures of it all!So I start smelling gas?Wtf. Go check the tank and I'm at 3% !Call and she tells me I had a balance that's why they didn't come fill me!!So I am to go till Thursday a week! With nothing !No mind you I owned them $500 when they came and FILLED my tank a few weeks ago!Sara, whom I speak with was extremely rude to me!Telling me I my story was inconsistent??And that I owned a balance!Mind you they have a meter they can see from their office! That's what they told me before!!When I questioned her she remarked.." we can't babysit people's gas tanks!!This is a company who used to call me if I had a small balance to tell me that they were coming our way but I'd like to put my balance on my credit card so she is full of s*** very rude and I am done with them ..Do I recommend this company? Hell no they have the worst customer service I have ever seen in 50 years on this earth. They don't deserve even a two star rating ...

Pretty upset cuz we called a week ago to set up the propane and were told we'd have someone come Tuesday. Called to verify the time only to find out we needed to fill put paperwork and have a credit check, but we were never sent anything nor I wasn't informed until I called. Now we're going on 2 weeks showering with freezing cold water.

The girls in the office are argumentative with terrible customer service. They're unreliable, not communicative, and expensive.The drivers are ok. It would be a better business if they replaced the office personnel.
