I've sent emails and filled out application and nothing. No communication with this group. Sad that a potential adopter can't adopt. I will be going elsewhere to find my next baby.

Michelle was amazing throughout our entire experience of fostering and adopting our sweet Sadie! I can’t say enough good things about this rescue and how much they care. So many amazing dogs wouldn’t be here today without The Rescued Pup’s tireless efforts to save the dogs that others have given up on. ?

I can’t say enough great things about the Rescue Pup. My wife and I were able to adopt our sweet Sadie from her. Michelle the owner was very kind but also wanted to make sure she was going to go to a good home. She asked us questions about where she was going and did we have any experience with dogs, etc. I appreciate that because I can tell home much she cares for rescues and wants to make sure they will go to their forever home.

I adopted a Chihuahua mix back in January who I named Joey. Before Michelle rescued Joey, he had lived in a neglectful animal hoarding situation which had greatly traumatized him. I could even see in the pound's records that he was labelled as aggressive.I will tell you with 100% certainty that Joey is the opposite of how he was when Michelle found him. Michelle does incredible work with these dogs. I never would have guessed his previous history. Joey had to go through some adjustment such as house training and getting to know my family and me. But, that is typical of most rescue dogs. Now, I feel absolutely blessed to have Joey in my life. He is one of the most loyal dogs I have ever known. Every dog is different and every owner will have a different experience. However, Michelle has a strong passion for rescuing these animals. My communication with Michelle has been very positive and helpful. These negative reviews do not at all seem accurate based on my personal experience. Keep in mind that Michelle can be busy because she runs this business, trains the dogs, rescues new ones, works with adopters and does much more.I highly recommend looking into the Rescued Pup if you are looking for a canine companion. I am incredibly grateful for Joey and have the highest regards for Michelle's work.

The staff along with Michelle does a great job with the pups and offers a great opportunity for a new beginning for our furry friends.I am not recommending because the lack of communication Michelle has with the prospective adopters. You are playing with people's hearts and emotions here. Michelle never once followed through in terms of communicating with us via phone as she said she would. Never once did she respond to my numerous calls and text messages.I finally received a form letter letting us know the pup had been adopted out to another family. I respect your decision and I am sure she will have a wonderful life. As you said during our meet and great, you really liked us and the next family better bring their "A" game. I thought that was inappropriate to say about someone else and that gave us a little false hope we might be her forever home.Michelle, if you say you are going to call, please follow through on what you say. People like me take what you say as the truth and expect you to do as you say. Even if you are super busy a quick call would have been appreciated.Thank you for the email (or what I suspect is a form letter) letting us know of the outcome of the adoption. Again, I respect your decision. My only hope is you follow through with what you say you will do. Heats are involved here.

I get it that rescuing dogs scheduled to be euthanized is hard work. I get it that looking into their eyes at the shelter knowing that you can’t rescue all of them hurts your heart. I GET THAT. Michelle & The Rescued Pup do all the hard work and MORE. I am in awe of what they do at TRP and I have nothing but enormous respect for how many dogs they save from certain death, but also train and then adopt them out into great homes where they THRIVE! If you’ve never looked into the eyes of a dog who’s been abused and abandoned to die, and then rescued - you’ve never truly experienced the purest, sweetest love on earth. TRP makes it possible to bring those dogs and open-hearted people together. I’m so grateful to have found The Rescued Pup - My life has not been the same since!

I volunteer at The Rescued Pup and it’s the most rewarding experience. Michelle, the owner is so knowledgeable about animals including behavior and medical! She puts so much into the animals and it’s all non profit, we need more people like her in this world!

I was refused a dog because I would not show my home once a month to them on Facebook , I’m sure they know what’s on Facebook goes to everybody all over the internet, I did what they asked sent video of my home, filled out application ,I was refused the option to even meet the dog to see if we would’ve been a good match . Not professional, I would not recommend this place to any one and I feel sorry for the dog that could have had a loving home and not live in a place with many dogs and caged.
