This Budget made our pick up reservation at 5 pm to pick up a rental car today and nobody was even there to check us in and provide the car. Then they cancelled our reservation and took all of our money for the rental! This is outrageous and now nobody in their customer service is answering or helping us. Never rent a car from here.

I'm exceedingly grateful to budget after Penske rented me a truck to a location that was not open... Hani really came through for us in a pinch. This location is clean and the staff exceedingly helpful even when she thought she may not be able to help me. She was willing to try to find me a truck in the area before a other places closed. Very easy location to get to. I would highly recommend.Returned the truck next day at South San Fran location easy peezy

Two months ago I reserved a moving van to pick up in Rancho Cordova and take my son to college in Irvine, ca where I would drop it off and fly home. On the day I was to pick it up, I called to confirm what time I would be there, and they told me they didn't have a van only a 16 foot truck. I replied " but I have a confirmation number for a van" there response was "sorry nothing we can do about it we don't have one for you". Lucky for me there is a real truck rental business called Penske and I was able to get a cargo van last minute for the college move. I will never give Budget my business again and make sure I spread the word about their horrendous customer service. 0 stars from me but it forced me to choose 1 to post this.

If I could leave zero starts I would. We reserved a vehicle which sits in the parking lot as we speak, and they failed to clean it. Instead of giving me what I asked for, though I offered to take it to the car wash myself, they failed to offer me more than $10 discount. The woman helping us didn't bother to be helpful, she continued to act as though this wasn't an inconvenience, she chastised me for asking her why the car wasn't clean if I was given a pick up time. Trash customer service, no sense of customer care, and completely unprofessional.

What I liked about this place is that they worked with my daughter in a professional manner when she needed to extend the use of the vehicle. And when all was done, I was blessed with being able to pay what they had calculated for that extra week, because it was less than I had calculated it to be. I'm thankful to the Lord for leading me and my daughter to Budget Car Rental, plus it was a nice small vehicle, just our size?that took us to the places we needed to go, if I was still driving and needed to rent a vehicle, this would be the place I would do it at, because to me, it is affordable. Try it for yourself, you can only say "YES or NO."

All was good with our rental of a cargo van EXCEPT a surprise charge a few days later in the amount of $20.This was for "BGT Toll" that was never explained to us at the time of the rental.Apparently this is an automatic MAXIMUM toll charge for the day for any rental vehicle, unless you choose to pay cash or arrange to pay on your toll account.We did drive over one toll bridge that normally charges $6.00The receptionist should have verbally explained this to us rather than have this agreement buried in the 4 pages of paperwork that required multiple initials. Yes, of course, we should have read it but it would have been courteous.

This is for the Avis end, very poor customer service. Not only reserved car or equivalent not there, but did not discount the price for the economy car given. Went through with full size car charge.

The owner of this location her name I think is "Haani" over charged my credit card. She charged me 4777 miles in one week that I have never used when I asked her why is that she started yelling and screaming on me. I Show her a screen shot about the mileage that I took it before I left from the location and the current mileage I only drove 220 miles. She did not know I had that but still got more mad ..The truck number was 727348. Even If she had covered some mileage by charging me the truck had almost another 10,000 mileage extra.. I do not know how she would cover all other mileages.. I knew she used the budget truck for her other deliveries. I saw her one night she was picking up a load..I do not know if her Budget account manager knows about this or may be they work together, but I do not think Budget corporate knows about this scam . Finally, they told me they would refund my money $532 and she said it was honest ""mistake"" I suggest you stay out from this location. If I did not take picture of the mileage I would be lost that money....

First off I drop the car off a day early filled it up with gas they lied and said that the gas was not full and I drop the car off late the rental agreement was from November 5 to November 9 I drop the car off on November 8 they charge me a late fee plus a gas fee. And with addition of the $250 deposit they hold while you are renting the car the total rental was supposed to be $399 they ended up charging me $609 this budget rental the people that work there or scam artist and they commit fraud and I want you guys to join me in a class action lawsuit against them

I normally rent from Enterprise, which is down the street from this location. I wish I went with them instead. I picked up the rental and as I'm driving off the lot. I notice the car is totally dirty and hadn't been cleaned since the previous renter dropped it off. During covid you'd think when they receive a car it's cleaned right away, but no. I had to take it to the house and clean it before we headed off to our trip. Unbelievable. The car only had a half tank of gas in it, which leads me to believe the previous renter just dropped off the car and that was it.

Terrible service. Two weeks ago, We booked two full size SUVs for our family trip. Today we came to pick the cars up, both women at front desk telling us that they dont have it. Reason, unclear. They're called budget for a reason. Take your business some other place. What a waste of time.

I rent from this place all the time with zero issues. I usually book about 4 days ahead and if I have specific questions I call and get the answers I need. That being said, I saw the negative reviews and thought I'd ask the front desk person about them and so I'm reporting what I learned here on Yelp.1. If you have bad credit or no money on your car, or are sort of broke, they are not allowed to rent to you. There is a standard holding deposit in case there is an issue. Meaning if you don't have your credit or money right, you will be upset when you try and pick up your vehicle.2. Especially on weekends, most the cars are rented, if someone is supposed to bring back the car at 9am, and they don't return til' 11am, then someone is about get screwed. Meaning, if you have an appt to rent a car, and they anticipate a return that is late, they can't rent that car to you.3. They call customer's when there is an appt. vs. car avail issue, unless the appt is last minute. Meaning if you book ur appt on your phone and come to rent the car in 30 minutes, you may be disappointed.4. Lastly, I learned was how rude people are towards the counter people with racial slurs and all types of rude 4 letter words daily. I know being a customer is tough sometimes, but wow. I'm not sure anyone should be called names when they are following company rules or policies. Remember people be kind to one another, you never know what you don't know.At the end of the day I'm sure anyone reading this will say, well just stock more cars or fix the issues. I don't know the answer but if Budget streamlines their business like the one I work for does, then I would assume having excess cars not rented is a waste of money.

I made a reservation a week before and when I got there to pick up the truck, their receptionist said they don’t have any at the moment. Why can’t they just give me a call before my pick up time? Is it too hard for asking? Also their attitude was trash.
