“I stopped by the Dollar Tree in Rancho Cordova after a long day, just needing a few small household items. The store felt calm and organized, and I appreciated how easy it was to grab everything in one quick trip. The cashier greeted customers warmly and kept the line moving smoothly. It’s nice when a simple shopping stop feels easy and positive.”
“I walked into the Dollar Tree in Citrus Heights planning to buy just a pack of napkins. Ten minutes later I was holding a basket with snacks, cleaning supplies, and a few things that looked too useful to ignore. Somehow that store makes browsing entertaining. The cashier was friendly and checkout was quick.”
“Dollar Tree was very clean and organized. It wasn’t super busy which was nice. I really liked to see the variety of items that they had. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for.”
“Usually not in the area of this Dollar Tree so stopped by on a whim. Store was clean. nicely stocked of more than what I needed items, and being stocked as I was there with Christmas items. Also very helpful staff when I asked where something was with which aisle I needed to go to. There was a long line at the check out of 1 till opened and I asked if we could get another till open. Within 5 minutes they did and quickly got all of us out the door with our new purchases. Awesome Madison Dollar Store ?”
“Found some good items here that the other dollar stores did not have for $1.25-$1.50 yes the store could use a little cleaning but still a good deal. The homeless were present when I was there in the early evening But their security guards made their presence known!”
“The hours here are the best around! They also have more inventory than any other store which is much appreciated! They seem to have plenty of staff on at all times so lines are short, there is always someone to ask for assistance or help with an item. Most staff are polite and at the very least cordial. One or two could use a lesson on smiling and being friendly, it sure goes a long way.”
“It's right by my house, super easy and organized location. The people working there are so helpful!! I come in a LOT asking for different crafting supplies or random items, they either join the scavenger hunt or know that they don't have the product I'm looking for but, I absolutely adore all the workers!! They are so fun and even if it was a Monday, somehow they crack a joke and make me smile. Super respectful, opening doors, memorizing iles. Just overall doing the best they can with a store that size. I also know that not many people work there, mainly because of the outdated technology, but I love it!! Who said I didn't want to visit the early 2000s - 90s?! Haha, perfect place to shop. They also are very quick to fit the theme of the season, each time I walk into the store throughout the year. The workers are on top of decorations and I've never seen so many balloons filled to perfection by them either until recently. I never had any personal issues except for parking. I remember being stuck in the parking lot, because other cars were still pulling up behind me to get to the nearest grocery store. Completely not affecting this review since it's nothing you can control. Thank you so much for being awesome and amazing!! Have an amazing day.”
“I don’t usually think of Dollar Tree for groceries, but I went in to grab bottled water and snacks. To my surprise, the quality of the packaged nuts and dried fruit was excellent. Everything tasted fresh, and the cost was much lower than supermarkets. The service was smooth, and for the price, it was a great value find.”
“I'd never been in this particular store but was very impressed and as is usually the case (I know everyone can relate to this) I went in for one or two things and came out with $65 worth of stuff! Now that they've raised prices though, some things do seem somewhat overpriced.”
“The Dollar General has that simple neighborhood-store feeling. You can walk in without a long shopping list and still find everything you need for the house. The aisles are easy to navigate and the prices are reasonable for quick purchases. It’s a practical stop when you don’t want to spend half an hour in a giant store.”
“Every time I go into the store I just plan on grabbing a couple things, then, next thing I know, I'm walking out with a grocery basket of goodies. Super friendly employees!”
“Dollar Tree in Citrus Heights. Bright aisles. Simple shelves. Everyday items arranged in quiet rows. I walked in looking for a few basic things and found them in minutes. No confusion, no complicated pricing, just straightforward shopping. Sometimes simplicity is exactly what makes a store pleasant.”
“I have been coming to this location for over 10 years. The store manager is amazing! She always recognizes me when I come in. She goes out of her way to make my shopping experience enjoyable. Not everyone can be as amazing as her, Kudos to her!”
“I only had a few dollars today but i did not have any problem getting some snacks, drinks, napkin, and paper plates. The place was clean and easy to navigate, but what reallly caught my attention was those balloons. I thought there was a party going on. They were in almost every aisle and they presented a positive and lively atmosphere. Next time i have a get-together occasion with friends, i know where to go to get needed items.”
“I visited the Dollar General recently and appreciated how fast the whole experience was. Everything from cleaning supplies to snacks was easy to locate. For everyday items it’s a practical option when you want to get in and out quickly.”
“Went to this store today to look for birthday supplies. When I tell you this store was neat, organized and well stocked I mean it!! I had gone to two other $ Tree stores the day before and they were a mess! What ever the management is doing at this store keep up the good work! ?? Checkout was friendly… surely coming all the way across town just to support this store again.”
“I went to General Dollar looking for reusable containers and cleaning cloths, hoping to cut down on single-use plastics. I was happy to find a good selection at very low prices. The containers sealed tightly, the cloths washed well, and I left feeling like I’d made eco-friendly choices without overspending. The quality and value both impressed me.”
“I like this Dollar Tree much better than the one on Elk Grove Blvd. Much bigger nice and clean. Most of staff is pleasant especially the guys. Always have what I need or want.”
“I stopped by the Dollar Tree in Folsom after work and was able to get in and out quickly. The store was tidy and everything seemed easy to locate. The cashier was friendly and efficient, which made the visit even better. Good place for quick errands.”
“Generally don't like going to this location due to its location. But as usual, the staff are really amazing and professional and they had a lot of wonderful products that I was specifically looking for like the 25 cent items and the penny deals”
“Our checker was Nate, and he very patiently and kindly waited on my 5 year old to pay for his transaction with coins. He helped him count out the change and was happy and smiling. It was so nice! Thank you Nate!”
“Great employees, clean organized store. Big selection. Despite the overwhelming homeless in the area. This store manages to keep it organized and clean. Even their parking lot.”
“If you live around Sacramento, the Dollar Tree stores are actually pretty fun to browse. I visited the one near Citrus Heights and ended up finding several small things for the house plus a few craft supplies. The aisles were clean and easy to navigate. What I like most is that you can explore a little and always discover something useful.”
“Place is large and have to choose from.. frozen section is my favorite..
With that said the do seem to need a bigger staff. There are a lot of empty space on shelves, or maybe I just caught them on a bad day .”
“The Dollar General in Citrus Heights is not trying to be a giant retail universe. Instead it exists as a compact collection of everyday necessities. Aisles intersect like small narratives: snacks, paper goods, household items. You move through them quickly, completing your own small story of errands.”
“My compliments to the manager. She was very professional and courteous. I had a return of items worth $36, but I didn't. I explained to her it looked very similar to the generic brand. But this name brand was 4 times as much (side note: obviously I no longer call these stores the dollar store or the dollar and a quarter store!)
I showed her a picture of my credit card charge and she agreed to return it to my card.
I will by pass 2 closer Dollar Trees just to shop here!”
“This store was tidy when I visited, which is always a plus. The usual areas were less tidy, but not too bad, so they are keeping uo with the disarray of smaller items in crafts or office/school supplues. The store isn't very big and the isles are a little close. The endcaps seem to be full of highlighted products or seasonal products. Because the store is smaller, I had to look a little harder to find things on lower shelves that might normally be on a higher shelf in a bigger store.
The cashier experience was mixed (on several visits). None of it was bad, and they were professional enough, but I recommend you pay attention to what they are doing because they lack confidence and are prone to mistakes. It's possible that management is undermining their confidence with unconstructive or unnecessary criticism, or whatever, or they might be new or not confident in general.
Like most dollar trees, the cashiers are not in a hurry - which isn't unexpected - and it's only annoying when the lines are long.”
“The Dollar Tree location in Rancho Cordova demonstrates how a compact retail environment can still provide broad product diversity. During my visit the store appeared well maintained and logically arranged. Clear shelf organization allowed for efficient browsing, and the staff were approachable when assistance was needed.”
