Stay away from this outfit for RV repair. My brother took his RV there for a refrigerator repair and they put in a new board. When my brother went to use it, the refrigerator still didn't work. A few weeks ago, they put in another new board and it still doesn't work. They wouldn't do a repair under warranty and refused to return any money. Now we're out about $500 on parts and labor.

I was in need of a quick oil change, as we are hitting the road tomorrow in our Class B RV. I found this place and was happy to hear they work on RV engines and mechanisms. When I called to set up the appointment they told me they didn't have any appointments today, but when I told them we hit the road tomorrow Don offered to squeeze me in. When I dropped the vehicle off I told him about an issue I was having with one of the seats. I have tried to fix and diagnose this several times on my own, so I wasn't hopeful that they would have time to review or fix the issue. Lucky for me, the van was ready three hours later and they fixed the seat issue in addition to the oil change! All for a very reasonable cost. I'll definitely go back there.

Amazing service. I believed the company I bought my RV from in Davis, CA, two years ago that the steering was off and they claimed that was very normal for that to happen. It was fixed by Gold County today. It is now amazing to drive, I no longer have to struggle with it down the highway. My RV trips will be so much better.Services: Steering & suspension repair

As always, Don and his crew provide excellent service and repairs with minimal wait. He provides warranty on his work. Miuch better option than the dealership...less than half the price.

I have trusted Don's business for 15 years to fix all of my cars, rvs, and trailers. Some repairs have been major and some minor. I was never disappointed and the fees have always been reasonable. Service is always polite and usually fast.Services: Steering & suspension repair

Taking my BMW X5 to Gold Country Service Center was a nightmare. Please, read my review before taking your vehicle to this shop. On the 3rd of August, I took my BMW X5 in for a simple replacement of my expansion tank sensor. Because the sensor is made of plastic, I decided to replace the tank too. The X5 did not overheat or lose water. Later that day, Don convinced my wife to change the radiator as well. 2 Days after getting the X5 home, I checked the water. It was low, so my wife called Don to ask if he had bled the system. He said no just drive it 34 miles. I didn't do that but drove it locally to see if it was still losing water. It was. We took the X5 in three times during the next week. Each time we went in, Don insisted it didn't need bled, On the second occasion, before I went in, I called BAR(Bureau of Automotive Repair). BAR told me all modern cars have to be bled after work on the water system. Don's response was BAR doesn't know what it's talking about. He refused to take the car in or make an appointment. The conversation on that day was so ridiculous that he argued about when to check the water level. I insisted on checking the water when it is cold which is what the dealer and the owner's manual says to do The next morning, I tried to get him to check the X5 out, or I was going to get another opinion. He would not make an appointment, At this point, I called the F.T.C. (the Federal Trade Commission) and made a complaint against the shop. I hoped this would move Don to take the X5 in and look at it. The complaint did not move him to action. He did not care about the F.T.C. in my opinion, Don has no respect for federal or state agencies.

Don has been our car guy for over 10 years. It's so nice to be able to trust the person working on your vehicles that what he says is true and he always gives you options like for things that need to be done: this should be done right away, this can wait, that type of thing. I totally recommend Gold Country service center! Deanne and Walt Sherman Oh yeah

Don is a CROOK!! Took my Winnebago to Don to repair check engine light issues and get a smog. When I went to pick up after repairs were done Don told me he no longer does smog's. Didn't tell me that when I first dropped off the motorhome. I drove the motorhome back to our house in Placerville and the check engine light came back on. Called Don the next day told him about engine light and he said to bring it back to him. I did a little checking on the work they had claimed to have done before returning it and found it they had replaced no vacuum hoses. They claimed to have changed out at 16 feet worth. When I questioned Don about this he said the hose was dirty from laying on the ground which is total BS. At this point I just want to get my motorhome fixed and get the heck out of there. Don called me and said the motorhome was done once again. The mechanic that worked on my motorhome must've been pissed off that he had to work on it again and got grease all through my carpet, on the motor cover and on the captains chairs. It took me almost 2 hours to clean up the grease and oil. On top of that the engine light came back on once again. I called Don to tell him about the grease and stains and he acted like no big deal. I also told him the engine light had come back on. There was no way I was going back there again to have my motorhome abused by crappy employees. I basically paid almost $600 for a speed sensor to be replaced and spent almost 2 hours cleaning up their mess. This place is pathetic and I will never go there again. Don is a complete idiot and a liar. Thinking about taking him to small claims court.

I called the shop early on Saturday afternoon, spoke with the owner, Don, and explained the problem I was having with my trailer. Don informed me that he closed in two hours but that I was welcome to bring my trailer in and he would have one of his technicians take a look and assess the problem. Bottom line, the technician identified the problem, fixed it and had me out in an hour. I'm very satisfied with the service I received. Also, Don and his staff are very friendly and easy to communicate with.Service: Electrical repair
