I purchased a 2015 Lexus back in August. I saw the car on line and contacted them. Pedro was cordial and sent me pictures, a video and answered my questions. I finally went to see it and decided to get it. I noticed a couple of things that needed some attention. I also asked what else is wrong with it? We did the paperwork and he agreed to deliver it to me the following week. Which he did.
After driving it for a couple of days I noticed a slight noise. Decided to have the Lexus dealer give the car the once over to find out everything. Contacted Golden State and was told they'd get back to me. I got ghosted. Sent text messages. Was told, I'll get back to you. Got ghosted some more. Became frustrated with Pedro as he was not returning calls or texts. Decided to drop in on a Saturday. Surprise! I came in asking to speak with the owner. Now Pedro wants to talk with me. I was so done. The owner came out to speak with me. Very nice man Alex I believe was his name. He wasn't happy about his guys not getting back to me. Said he'd get things taken care of. We made an appointment for me to bring it in, they gave me a loaner for a week, as they had to wait on a part. The navigation in my Lexus was not working and that was the issue I was contacting them about. Got a call a week later and was told my car was ready. Returned their loaner (2017 Audi) and picked up my Lexus. The car is great, my interaction with the owner was fantastic, and my stars are for him and the folks that fixed the problem. The customer service or follow-up of a couple of their guys needs a little help.
Car runs great, navigation is fine.
Would I buy from them again? Its entirely possible.

My boyfriend purchased my vehicle from golden state auto and later discovered major issues with how the loan and paperwork were handled. The dealership arranged financing through Lobel Financial, and I was not fully informed about the loan structure or the true costs.
The car’s value was around $14,500, but the loan amount was shown as $27,579, which I only realized after the repossession. I was never given a full explanation of how that amount was calculated, and both the dealership and the lender have been unresponsive when I requested clarification.
I would caution anyone financing through this dealership to carefully review your contract and confirm the total loan amount, interest rate, and fees before signing. I regret trusting the process without full transparency, and I hope this review helps other buyers protect themselves. I will be putting this on every review site and contacting the bbb.

Just got my new car today and honestly the whole experience was amazing! Everything was super easy, stress-free, and actually fun! Raimond and Abi were both awesome — so genuine and helpful the entire time. You can tell they really care about their customers and want to make sure you’re happy. Definitely a place you can trust. I saw the car i wanted online so i contacted them. The salesman was so pleasant and reassuring. I was buying sight unseen and nervous. I was told trust me. I was promised all kinds of things and I got them except when the loan was approved the salesman changed. I wanted to know when my car was being transported and was told when they pick it up you'll get it. I was told id have it the next day 5 days past still no car and no nice salesman.I called and text but couldn't get an answer when id have my car. I had to threaten with filing a report to get a call back. 3 more days no car. I started to panic then final the transporter called me and i had the car within 2 hours. The car is everything i hoped for but the excitement of me buying my first car alone was ruined. It became a miserable ordeal. Beautiful car easy financing what should have been a happy event became a nightmare. When the car arrived there was no paperwork. No nothing called Leroy several times left a message no call back. 3 months later no proof of ownership no registration nothing. I am unable to do anything with this car. Leroy no help broken promise it will be sent still nothing. I have contacted a attorney to help get me the registration and plates to make my car legal.

Bought a used Prius here in 2022 and they completely ripped me off. The catalytic converter had gone bad and they added an illegal O2 sensor spacer to make the car computer not throw up codes. Found it out when I did NOT pass smog later due to this illegal mod. They must have “had a guy” to do their required smog before they sold it to me. Very disappointed in this totally shady business.

Did a DoorDash here all I needed was a signature made me feel like I was belittled because I drive Uber and DoorDash didn’t feel very valued as a person should try to treat people with a little bit more respect

I was being helped by Leroy. He ran my credit and never got back to me about options. Just ghosted me. I was so excited about the possibility of getting a car. Worse experience I’ve ever had. Do better and COMMUNICATE.

The staff at this business were amazing helping me when my Verizon phone service went out and I had problems returning my rental car. I'm from Idaho and was a mess. They helped me contact family, invited me to sit in air conditioning and helped me with my rental car return. Lorena even tried to help me with my cellphone issues. Thank you Golden State Auto Inc..
