I was a little skeptical when I saw the reviews.. But decided to take a chance because they were the closest and had the best price. IM SO GLAD I DID! They were nothing short of amazing! I had multiple problems on my side of the move. Jade went above and beyond with patience, kindness and professionalism. Jade is a Rockstar and I hope the owner understands what a valuable employee they have! Thank you again. I will be recommending your location to Everyone in your services.

I'm exceedingly grateful to budget after Penske rented me a truck to a location that was not open... Hani really came through for us in a pinch. This location is clean and the staff exceedingly helpful even when she thought she may not be able to help me. She was willing to try to find me a truck in the area before a other places closed. Very easy location to get to. I would highly recommend.Returned the truck next day at South San Fran location easy peezy

Two months ago I reserved a moving van to pick up in Rancho Cordova and take my son to college in Irvine, ca where I would drop it off and fly home. On the day I was to pick it up, I called to confirm what time I would be there, and they told me they didn't have a van only a 16 foot truck. I replied " but I have a confirmation number for a van" there response was "sorry nothing we can do about it we don't have one for you". Lucky for me there is a real truck rental business called Penske and I was able to get a cargo van last minute for the college move. I will never give Budget my business again and make sure I spread the word about their horrendous customer service. 0 stars from me but it forced me to choose 1 to post this.

Literally and intentionally changed my reservation at return. Everybody there is not a bad apple however, upon return the agent added coverage that I know I said I did not want upon pickup. The male agent also attempted to say the gas wasn't full but I told him I had a picture. All I can say is watch your receipt I felt this would happen when they initially started helping me.

If I could leave zero starts I would. We reserved a vehicle which sits in the parking lot as we speak, and they failed to clean it. Instead of giving me what I asked for, though I offered to take it to the car wash myself, they failed to offer me more than $10 discount. The woman helping us didn't bother to be helpful, she continued to act as though this wasn't an inconvenience, she chastised me for asking her why the car wasn't clean if I was given a pick up time. Trash customer service, no sense of customer care, and completely unprofessional.

All was good with our rental of a cargo van EXCEPT a surprise charge a few days later in the amount of $20. This was for "BGT Toll" that was never explained to us at the time of the rental. Apparently this is an automatic MAXIMUM toll charge for the day for any rental vehicle, unless you choose to pay cash or arrange to pay on your toll account. We did drive over one toll bridge that normally charges $6.00 The receptionist should have verbally explained this to us rather than have this agreement buried in the 4 pages of paperwork that required multiple initials. Yes, of course, we should have read it but it would have been courteous.

This is for the Avis end, very poor customer service. Not only reserved car or equivalent not there, but did not discount the price for the economy car given. Went through with full size car charge.

The truck was a cab over and older making it difficult to drive. Gas pedal and brake pedal were way to close together making it hard for my big foot to stay off the gas while applying the brakes. On the highway my driver's door shook and rattle so much I thought it was gonna be blown away. The 16 foot truck did not drink the gas it ATE IT UP. The 2 days I had it I put 80 bucls then 50 then to get it back to 3/4 full where we started, anther 80 bucks. Ya I did a few miles on it but think I have been better off with something newer. Then I drop it of and my bill is CRAZY HIGH, over 500 for 2 days, I almost had a headache. I had th rush home, smoke a couple of joints and a couple of shots...WOW. I have not even looked at the bill in depth yet and probably won't until tomorrow after I cool off. I will never rent a truck from BUDGE again. budget my bun hole,I'm KevinI approve this message....

I normally rent from Enterprise, which is down the street from this location. I wish I went with them instead. I picked up the rental and as I'm driving off the lot. I notice the car is totally dirty and hadn't been cleaned since the previous renter dropped it off. During covid you'd think when they receive a car it's cleaned right away, but no. I had to take it to the house and clean it before we headed off to our trip. Unbelievable. The car only had a half tank of gas in it, which leads me to believe the previous renter just dropped off the car and that was it.

Read the reviews before you rent from this location. Or rent from Budget. I was given a van with an check engine light on. The Budget employee who gave me the van told me not to worry about it, as it had been fixed, and the mechanic just forgot to reset it. After driving for 1 1/2 hours, the van spluttered and died. Luckily I was able to pull it onto the shoulder. I called Budgets emergency break down number, and it took over an hour for someone to pick up. After giving all the information about the break down, and where we were stranded. I was told a vendor had been dispatched, and that we should see him in 1 to 1 1/2 hours, and that we would receive updated on the ETA of the vendor ( the mechanic ) 2 hours passed, with no sign of the vendor, and no updates received. I started to wonder if anyone was coming, so I called back. This time it took 1 hour and forty minutes for Budget to answer the phone. This time I was told that he should be there in 20 minutes. After 40 minutes passed, I tied calling back. I was on the phone for another 20 minute, when finally a guy shows up in a Toyota Camry to fix the van. Thank God this guy was able to figure out the problem, and off he went to pick up some coolant. What the vendor told me, was that he thought that the van hadn't been fixed, and was given to me very low on coolant, as the van was totally out of it. It took over 2 1/2 gallons to fill up to the right level. So after 5 1/2 hours of being stranded at the side of a very busy and dangerous highway in 100 degree heat with no water, we were finally able to continue to our destination. Also, because we missed the deadline to pick up the keys for my daughter's apartment in Berkeley, we ended up having to get a hotel each at $120 a room. So a trip that typically takes 3 hours max, ended up taking us almost 9 hours. And you try getting someone at Budget to give a damn !!

Highly recommend the staff to be professional with the customers and never generalize a group of ppl especially entire nation. If it was someone else instead of me, you can get legal lawsuit for your words and behavior.

I rent from this place all the time with zero issues. I usually book about 4 days ahead and if I have specific questions I call and get the answers I need. That being said, I saw the negative reviews and thought I'd ask the front desk person about them and so I'm reporting what I learned here on Yelp. 1. If you have bad credit or no money on your card, or are sort of broke, they are not allowed to rent to you. There is a standard holding deposit in case there is an issue. Meaning if you don't have your credit or money right, you will be upset when you try and pick up your vehicle. 2. Especially on weekends, most the cars are rented, if someone is supposed to bring back the car at 9am, and they don't return til' 11am, then someone is about get screwed. Meaning, if you have an appt to rent a car, and they anticipate a return that is late, they can't rent that car to you. 3. They call customer's when there is an appt. vs. car avail issue, unless the appt is last minute. Meaning if you book ur appt on your phone and come to rent the car in 30 minutes, you may be disappointed. 4. Lastly, I learned was how rude people are towards the counter people with racial slurs and all types of rude 4 letter words daily. I know being a customer is tough sometimes, but wow. I'm not sure anyone should be called names when they are following company rules or policies. Remember people be kind to one another, you never know what you don't know. At the end of the day I'm sure anyone reading this will say, well just stock more cars or fix the issues. I don't know the answer but if Budget streamlines their business like the one I work for does, then I would assume having excess cars not rented is a waste of money.

This budget car rental place is the worst, if I could leave 0 stars I would. The manager is actually the one I dealt with directly. She was extremely unprofessional and the rudestest person to address customers- No interpersonal skills. I rented an SUV for the weekend. The car I reserved wasn't available so they switched me to another- not a big deal at first, bit if a downgrade. The car the gave me keys to was not cleaned at all, nothing was wiped down and we are in COVID practices, trash in the back trunk, dirt and leaves on the floors. The manager told me this was the only car she had available and I could wait about 30 minutes for them to clean it or I could take a van they had ready. I called back to get the DM number after I left there and the manager hung up on me. I called Budget corporate requesting a DM call me back- nothing. I received an email from Budget offering me 1 day free future rental for my inconvenience. No thank you, I will never rent from Budget again! I would have rather gotten a DM call back.
