I'd never stepped foot in a Bass Pro Shops... I was in awe. The place is huge and looked like a museum. There was a huge fish tank, a "shooting range," and boats for sale all in the same building. Bass Pro Shops had a huge variety of options for shoes, backpacks, guns... As I strolled through each aisle I grew more and more impressed with this store. They had everything from crocs to candles to hunting gear. I purchased some pepper spray, moon pies and shoe deodorizer. I left feeling quite pleased and convinced that this a place to spend an afternoon. The staff were helpful, bathrooms were clean and overall the vibes were great.

NOT FUN FOR KIDS. Here's my review, the string takes place around the Christmas Holiday little over a year ago. December 23, 2022 to be exact. As a kid I've read about Cabela's interior design and customer experience that they were renowned for at a time when technology was not so prevalent and the outdoors mattered. In 2013 my father an Arizona native based in Phoenix took us down to a Bass Pro Shops that was like nothing that a young mind could've imagines. From raccoon hats to the natural world and customers converging into one giant cabin, it was truly an impressive place to be, almost get lost in. My family frequents the Silverton Hotel in Las Vegas, a welcoming place that also host a Bass Pro Shop within the hotel casino. Yet another grandiose impression of the store chain Bass Pro Shop, which seemingly stands as the top dog of outdoor and adventure. Well it was to my dismay that upon walking in to the "busy" store that evening there was all but none of the fun. The antiquated carpet floor room was hard to look past especially once browsing their selection of Men's clothing with all the holiday prices, none reduced. Nothing exclusive to see here that was my first impression, it's too bad that my little friend came along because as an adult that wanted to experience the Bass Pro magic, there was none. The experience in the lower fell flat, there was a nice selection of family puzzles, mind you we were both gift shopping for the holidays, coming up with potential ideas, and looking for great buys. That's when I noticed a Richard Childers Racing die cast of Austin Dillon's No. 3 car out of its packaging. Boy what a shame, why hasn't anybody noticed to put the car back on display? The Chevrolet Camaro featured the Bass Pro Shop paint scheme, being a collectors item, we weren't interested and moved past that section entirely drained of hope for anything fun to look at we decided to stop and grab bags of candy to take home, its been a long trip. My last thought was that the upstairs would be at least a little bit better, 'that's where the fun things are." I thought. Well it was not where the fun things were in fact it was where I started being eyed by their very own loss prevention, followed around the entirety of the upper floor and wouldn't be surprised if the long haired man had been eyeing us since we walked in. Coming with every intention to spend money and have a nice time quickly turned to angry swirl of emotion. My kid brother is NOT at the age to be agrresicly followed. My instinct told me that we weren't in the wrong, this man was doing his job. Had we become suspects, would he intervene with our shopping experience? This posed problem, quite a big one actually because it had been a very innocent decision to bring my little friend to a store that not only failed as a Bass Pro but seemingly put a target on us for the rest of the night. "Nothing good to see here," I said as I picked up a bottle of canned air tot take to the counter. what was this guys deal? Is he being obvious or is oblivious that I'm accompanied by a minor hand in hand the entirety of the way. Am I in danger? We worked our way down, so far ran into saltwater taffy and a bottle of canned air. Working our way to the line there was tedious and not very well executed. Just before we ran into a section of hats littered all over the carpet floor. It was a sad sightseeing so many that my brother took the time to re-hang most of the hats, you know do the right thing? It's the holidays, you should expect the store to be at the top of their game regardless of the foot traffic they are to receive. Let's get in line already.. where we still being followed by the store secret shopper? Loss prevention? Stranger?.. I'll buy a Monster Energy drink at the counter. We need to get out of here as fast as possible. Wow, that store took more of me than it had to offer. Was the Islamorado Fish Company Restaurant intriguing? originally. Was my cashier a fr

Bass Pro is the Walmart of sporting goods. The products are great but the service is horrible. The indifference in the staff is palpable and it's hard fine someone who can interact politely with the public. As far as the firearms department goes. It's difficult enough complying with all the requirements from the government to purchase firearms. But the BassPro staff go above and beyond to make it more difficult. I know it's the staff because I've never had to buy an annual fishing license to use as a address verification back up at any other firearms seller. They intentionally made my purchase experience difficult in order to sell a fishing license!!! First time I went to bass pro and will definitely be the last.

I called the store looking for a part for a Tahoe boat. The employee was friendly and super helpful. Since I live about an hour away from the store, he offered to ship the part to me for $10. It arrived quicker than he said it would. Easy, great experience.

Don't waste your time buying a gun here. Expect to wait 2+ hours every time you visit, even on a weekday at 10a.m. This waiting time is just to speak with someone. Plan for much longer if you want to purchase something and didn't order through their website. Once you've decided what you want (I ordered from the website beforehand) you need to start the background check/paperwork. This will easily take another hour to complete. Once that's finalized, you've paid your fees to the DOJ, California, etc., the 10-day cooling off period starts, unless you're a criminal which makes you exempt from this and all other gun laws. Fast forward to your pick up date. Yes, you will wait 2+ hours again, just to talk to someone. Once your name is called you will go through the usual pick up process of learning how to use the gun, unloading/loading, etc. Again, budget another 45-60 minutes just for this 1:1 session, on top of your waiting time. These guys are in absolutely zero rush (think DMV) to get you in and out in a timely matter. Out of all the gun purchases I have made in this lovely state, save the $50 and go to Turners or another local shop and save hours of your life that would be spent waiting in their queue.

Took family out to dinner to eat something different. The place was half empty. Hostees set us quickly. Waitress was very friendly. Food was brought out in a timely manner. The food was very tasteless, very plains and overpriced. That is why it was probably empty. I would not recommend it at all..

We had a great experience buying a Henry and ammo. Robert was extremely patient (I had lots of questions) knowledgeable about the different guns we were looking at, and just over all a great guy. He made the 3 hour wait total worth it!! If you are looking for a gun or ammo Robert is your guy. Go see him.

If you have not been to a Bass Pro shop, you definitely need to take advantage and go in if you happen to drive by. It is a two-story sports store that has everything you could possibly need for the outdoorsman. The service is incredibly helpful of workers walking around to answer questions And the prices are definitely fair. There is a restaurant inside which is also fantastic ample parking and for those of you women who want to let your man just shop and you want to relax there's a fireplace with rocking chairs to just relax.

This review is specifically for Karina from the footwear department, we came on presidents day when it was super busy to buy my boyfriend some boots and she was extremely helpful finding the specific ones he wanted that weren't even on display. Thank you for the great customer service.

Went to their restaurant today and my boyfriend and I both had food poisoning. Mine is more mild, his is being a nightmare. He is really sick with vomiting and diarrhea. We both had the blue cheese cheeseburger. Beware! Don't eat there! Their food is contaminated.

Always drive by and never been inside was impressed at the selection and stuff they had! Even my kids loved it! Will be back, just wished the workers were friendlier, when I went to pay I was trying to use my bass pro credit card and the cashier didn’t know how to even manage it sent me to the service desk then I said I have it on Apple Pay so then she took me back. Whole process to pay took me like 45 min to wait around
