The rainy day I was accused of trying to steal an oil change. I was waiting inside their cold, unpleasant "waiting" area when I was told that my car was done. I paid and had my paperwork, glad to leave. I went outside to the curb, the owner (?) was in the car. He looked at me strangely. He said he didn't want to open the door because of the oncoming traffic (there was plenty of room). I stood there getting wet. He wondered what I was doing there, he was still checking the car. He didn't believe that I had already paid, insisting on seeing the paperwork. It was very unpleasant. Steal an oil change? Are you nuts? You have my license number, VIN, phone number, who knows what else - I am going to try to steal $140? Two years before that I paid over $1400 for work on the cooling system. Now I don't have $140? I went back in and waited. They brought the car back in with one of those oil stickers on inside A pillar. I don't like stickers on my car, especially without being asked. I took it off and said "please don't put stickers on my car without asking". Later I was told that I "tore" it off, some kind of implied violence there, I think. Crazy. I was happy to leave. The work that they have done is good, they seem thorough. Realize that they do not offer bargain prices by any means - probably not much less than the dealer. However the customer service part falls short in my opinion. Just from the start, over the phone, the service manager told me it would $185 to assess my car! Then he hemmed and hawed over whether it would apply towards repairs. I pushed him and he agreed to waive given that I was a returning customer. Turns out I was just a quart of oil low and needed an oil change. $185 service fee would have been crazy. Another example. Rainy day, my car is inside the shop. Above is a set of windows and a long beam. There is this yellow-ish colored water dripping onto my hood. Some chemical from the roof or who knows what. I just had the hood painted, less than a year ago (courtesy of a deer) and I didn't want the clear coat to get stained. Unknown chemical + auto paint = Problem. When I asked someone to move my card, strange attitude. The only reason I went there two years ago was because my long time mechanic retired when they lost their lease. Trust me (they didn't!) I won't go back, not after being treated like a thief.

The shop does not post their hourly rates, and they are not transparent when it comes to telling you whats wrong with your car, they will increase their price once they feel that you're vulnerable . They will definitely take advantage of you and rip you off!

A clean independent shop, with as in-depth communication as you want. Some folks just flip the keys to the mechanic and don't care what the upshot is; others want to know every detail point. Mark is good with both types of customers. The key thing is that they do honest, good work, with a substantial warranty to back it up. They are not the cheapest mechanic on the block, but you get what you pay for. You bought a used German car, so you know it'll be expensive to maintain. It's worth paying a few bucks more to take it to a place with a certified crew that uses genuine BMW parts and knows what they are doing. They also are good with the, "While I was in there, I noticed..." communications, especially in giving an opinion as to the urgency of the additional work. Finding a mechanic you trust is hard. You can trust these guys.

I found MMS Autosport after being dragged through the mud by another machanic. From the phone call asking questions to meeting the staff in person, it was a complete 180 from my past experiences with machanic shops. The staff is friendly, up front, and open about costs, recommended work needed, and work that can be prolonged for future dates without putting you at risk. The shop is clean and very organized, and the paperwork you receive is in detail. This business truly cares about their customers and will go out of their way to help you in any way possible. Brian is amazing and gives you detailed information on the repairs as well as taking photos of each step as they repair your vehicle. The prices are amazingly fair and almost unbelievable compared to the work they perform on your vehicle. They don't penny pinch you and try to squeeze every cent out of you, and that goes back to the undebateable customer service. MMS Autosport is a hidden gem in the city of Lawndale without a doubt. I have saved not only the longevity of my vehicle but the amount of money I have saved is astronomical. You can set appointments or just show up they will welcome you either way. They use quality parts, install them properly, and they work fast. Vehicle Type: European Vehicles Only. Thank you, MMS Autosport, for being an honest, friendly, trustworthy business for your customers.

Mark & Jeff, both owners are technicians worked for South Bay BMW/ MINI located at PCH more than 10 years ago. They are factory trained specialists. My Mini Cooper just have new brakes and rotors replaced and some other issues of oil filter housing gaskets replaced. Prices are fair, and most importantly is precisely repairing with best quality of professional service. I am happy to have them fixed my Mini Cooper.

I required routine maintenance on my 2020 Mercedes. The team at MMS performed all factory recommended maintenance for a third of what the dealer quoted. The team was friendly and professional and the service was excellent.
