We ate here for lunch while the kids got entertained at the kids club next door and the service was even more pleasurable than the food. I wish I could take Felipe home with me. Best waiter I've ever had, hands down.

For price and location, service did not match. First waiter was out of it. He couldn't tell how many people were at the table and removed a water that shouldn't have been. Second waiter was nice but we asked for a shell cracker for the crab and while he acknowledged, he never brought it. We also had to ask twice for a heater. Service is just as important as the food. They def need to up the service game here.

Lovely brunch here with something for everyone. A little pricey but it’s like that across the resort. We had a big group and the manager was very accommodating and nice.

We had a fabulous time at Catalina Kitchen celebrating my wife's 60th birthday. Our server, Luis made the evening memorable. He was attentive and so kind. We eat out often, and rarely do we enjoy such wonderful service.

My lunch was amazing! The view is beautiful, the staff is super friendly and the food was so tasty! For Happy Hour, I ordered a margarita and the buffalo chicken dip, the poke nachos and the chicken sliders were all delicious!

Super cool place, inattentive and unprepared staff. Very expensive food for nothing, tasteless, no attention to detail and in many cases spicy, if you have any allergies, be careful. Not worth the price for what you get! Pretty disappointing.Dietary restrictions: They don't know the ingredients of the dishesParking: Few free spaces, very expensive valet and it takes a long time to get the car, I've already had to wait for 1 hourKid-friendliness: They don't care about children, food from the kids menu is very spicy.

The price is more reasonable than expected and the surrounding scenery is nice.

The ambience is what you pay for. The food is bar good quality at best. I ordered chilaquiles Rojas. It was eggs sunny side up on nachos. That is not how chilaquiles are made. This is so with their crepes as well. This restaurant has a tendency to name dishes that do not match the result. I don't know if it is because of cost but any chef in Los Angeles knows darn well this dish a no business being called chilaquiles. So breakfast is $85-$100 for two people. You pay for the view.

Catalina Kitchen is the main dining room for the very upscale Terranea Resort, which sports several dining experiences, from causal beach front to fine dining, with a price tag to match. Catalina Kitchen falls in the middle. The food there was a very high quality, although on our Monday evening visit the menu was limited. No specials on Monday. What was outstanding was the excellent service we received. Our waiter, Juan, was superb; attentive, not overbearing, helpful, and went out of his way when we made an unusual desert request. All the staff, from the bar, to the bellhops at the main entrance, who insisted on driving me to the free public parking, which I chose over the pricey valet parking, were friendly, and authentically cheerful. Altogether, a great experience.

I love this location and the staff are incredible. Was a bit let down by the Sunday brunch buffet. Was very expensive for the quality of food provided. Wasn't as many breakfast options as you'd think, almost felt more like a dinner buffet.

The menu had an excellent selection which was great for our group of 7. Everyone enjoyed their choice. The staff was attentive and the patio seating at lunch was beautiful. We were fortunate to have a lovely, sunny day.

We used to love coming to Catalina Kitchen before the pandemic. We decided to come back for dinner. The place still looked really nice, and we were looking forward to a great meal. When given the option, we asked to be seated indoors. Since we were the only people inside, we asked the hostess if it was ok for us to be inside and were reassured that it was ok. Someone came to bring us water and menus right away. Then we waited and waited. Several servers walked by us, but no one came to take our order, or even stop by to say that someone else would be on their way. After sitting there for a while, we decided to get up and go somewhere else. Leaving the restaurant, we walked by five staff members who were watching the football game on the television at the bar. None of them said anything to us, even though several of them had walked by our table several times. We told the hostess that we didn't get any service and she just said, “Sorry about that.” with no effort to rectify the situation. We ended up having a nice meal off of the property for two people for the same price that the pizza cost at Catalina Kitchen. So disappointing because it used to be such a fun place to eat.
