Lovely view and trails on clear days. Unfortunately, the locals have made it very difficult and/or expensive to go here. There is $10+ parking along Crenshaw near the valley. The park itself requires a permit. At unbusy times, you can park on Crest for free, but it will fill up fast on weekends. The park itself is lovely for viewing the ocean and bluffs below. There's a small field for throwing a ball or Frisbee around. At the end of the road is a trailhead to start winding along the bluffs. The only facilities are done porta potties about 5-10 minutes down the trail. So if you can find a place to park and live nearby, it's great for a hike. Otherwise, you may be disappointed at having to hike twice as far just from a parking spot.

Wonderful view. I needed a short walk and a breath of fresh air. This was just the ticket.

We used to live nearby and parked near the adjacent street. Now we came back all the way from Arizona to visit it and parked near the street only to find a fine of $110 for parking on street for few minutes of parking. They made every nearby parking spot paid! This is such a surprise!!!What a shame, put gates and close the park for your residents instead of looting money from visitors.Make sure the paid parking sign is atleast facing the pedestrians path and is clearly visible and not tucked away from those parking the cars.

Gorgeous views, trash politics. The fact that the parking lot is for residents only is ridiculous and should be illegal. The metered parking is limited and ridiculously expensive.Someone needs to look into whether the city is legally allowed to make parking in the surrounding area more restrictive. On streets in front of houses, I get. But why do you need a parking lot to visit a park you live around the corner from? The math isn't mathing. In the interim, some enterprising individual should create a nearby park & ride situation, so more people can have access to this beautiful PUBLIC space.I would say the residents of PV should be ashamed of themselves, but they have none.

Since when is this park permit only parking? Why would residents need this area to be permit when they have the luxury of walking a few blocks from their homes? The parking should be for visitors. The reserved parking on the street is also ridiculous. The residents clearly don’t want “outsiders” in the area and want to privatize a beautiful park. Not cool :(

A wonderful place to see the fantastic panoramic ocean view more than anywhere else. Parking must be reserved inside the park, but free parking is available at st John Fisher Church within a 5-minute walk

Park is...was nice. The rich homeowners have claimed it as their own and the public are not welcome. I have so many memories of coming here with family in the past. You bought a multi million dollar house next to a park but now you don't want anyone else to be able to visit the park? Selfish elitism at its worst. Parking lot is for permitted residents. The rich and selfish obviously needed an extra parking lot for themselves so they have made the parking lot permit resident only. Yes public green spaces are not not actually for the public, just the rich. Just what we needed, the rich who donate to city election campaign funds influencing politicians to not only "keep those kids off my grass" but also keep them out of my park. What's next entry gates to gain access to your city? A wall? A moat?

This claims to be a community park, but because the parking lot and street are restricted to residential/permit-only parking, it is not friendly.... The parking enforcement truck was busy making his rounds. Can't most residents walk across the street to get here anyway? Just sayin'. We were driving around looking for vista points to stop at and we saw how pretty the ocean was from here, but there was no place to park. Not cool.

I like this park. Has been a special place to me for various reasons. I love being able to climb to the top of the hill and look at the beach. Bring a sweater; it tends to get colder around this part. Parking could be better, I usually don’t stay too long for fear I’ll get ticketed (still haven’t yet but not sure how many times I can keep playing that game).

Beautiful place to see a wide view of the Pacific Ocean. Reserved parking signs were up. I'm not sure for what reason, but we just parked and watched the sunset for about 20 minutes. Definitely recommend checking this view out if you are in the area. I didn't see any kids' areas or playgrounds or restrooms.

Used to hike this BEAUTIFUL spot regularly but since the city of RPV made it so difficult to park , I avoid it.

This was a long time local dark area that was great for star gazing and astronomy for star parties and educational outreach. Now it is impossible to use the public space because they've made it residents only which is such an exclusionary action to take. The city needs to assess making this a normal unrestricted access location instead of hoarding it.

If you are looking for a challenging hike (without getting too crazy), this is your spot. Parking gets competitive so either use the ParkMobile app or come right before the park opens. There are enough trails to easily create a 10-mile hike especially if you hike the Filiorum and Three-Sisters trails. I hike 7 miles with an elevation gain of 1,400 feet and never hiked the same trail twice. The wildlife changes depending on the season. I went in the late summer so I saw coyotes, snakes (poisonous and non-poisonous), rabbits, and tons of birds.
