Great local place to get fresh seafood. They even help with the preparation of the specific fish. The shrimp in the cooler area are great to grab and go with excellent cocktail sauce!

This is seriously the best place to shop for seafood in San Pedro and Palos Verdes! The place is always clean and filled with the yummiest seafood options. I have loved everything I have sampled and purchased from there -esp the salmon steaks and the salmon nuggets. Don't be shy and ask to sample the salmon nuggets, esp the pastrami flavored one. The store staff are so confident that you will love it that they will naturally give you a sample. They also offer salads -great for a quick and light lunch. Don't even bother asking about the salmon ceasar salad -I tried. The salmon recipe is a top secret that will not be shared. It is so tasty!Be sure to always get a receipt with your purchase. Human error is always possible and the only way to correct a wrong is to always have a receipt.

Nestled into a small mall in the peninsula of Palos Verdes Estates is the great American international seafood store. They sell all manner of seafood and the it is absolutely top notch. I went there today for King crab legs and WOW. They were huuuge....4 legs / three pounds....the various shrimp in the case are also amazingly huge and fresh. And fresh IS THE NAME OF THE GAME .... which hen it comes to seafood and this place nails it. There are a variety of pastas and sauces to prepare your fresh seafood or there is a large variety of some frozen selections as well. The crab cakes are KILLER. But those crab legs were the star of the show. They have a nice little wine selection too. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, handing out sample where appropriate. My family was blown away by the freshness of all the food we brought home today and they say ... Go here, grab fresh seafood and cook it up at home.

I was craving king crab legs and being in the South Bay, they aren't hard to find. They are expensive though and I wanted the best price. I knew per pound they were around $90 at Whole Foods and $75 at Bristol Farms. I called San Pedro fish market and they only had snow crab. Then I remembered this place. I called and they were $55. Totally reasonable! The seafood is really fresh here too. I know the days of asking to have a whiff of your seafood before you purchase are over. Thanks for that, covid. But not to worry, when you have pounds and pounds of fresh seafood on display and the market smells like the ocean, you're good to go. If I get that fishy smell, I'm outta there. I ordered a pound, a couple of lobster claws, and got some Catalina salsa. The guy behind the counter was really friendly and helpful. Another bonus is the scenic drive around the peninsula. So beautiful. It was Super Bowl Sunday and every body was feasting that day. I don't care about football but I do like to eat and I wanted to indulge too. I paired my crustaceans with a Sauvignon blanc and a Chardonnay. The SB was the winner. I had Lays potato chips too. You know, for texture. The only bowl I watched was the Puppy Bowl. All in all, it was a fine day.
