We’re midway through our son’s second year at Serra and we absolutely love it. He’s thriving with a more academically challenging curriculum (we transferred from another Catholic elementary school), the school is beautiful and the administration is top notch. The school is large but extremely well managed. We’re grateful for the many sports/extra-curricular activities, and feel blessed to be a part of this wonderful school community in RSM / South Orange County!

We have been at St. Serra Catholic School for three years, and couldn't be happier. My two children are thriving academically and socially. The staff, teachers, and administration are excellent and provide a safe environment for the children to learn. Although the curriculum is held in high regard, the teachings of being kind, faith-filled children/young adults are equally important and taught every day. We feel very blessed that we are St. Serra and highly recommend to any family that is looking for a school from Pre-School to 8th grade with strong academics and Catholic identity.

We have been part of the Serra family going on 6 years now. Attending this school has been the best decision we could have ever made for our children. The facilities are beautiful, the staff and leadership is outstanding and the moment we step onto campus we always feel like we are part of a special family. The school is large but we are grateful and embrace all it has to offer. We appreciate the faith based teaching that is offered at Serra as well as feel confident that the teachers are preparing them for their next step as they go onto high school. There is diversity on campus, which is important to our bi-racial family. All academic levels are taken into consideration and children are placed appropriately so all can thrive whether it be in advanced classes or small group classes. Lessons are taught throughout the grades focusing on kindness and respect, which is so extremely important to our family. If questions ever do arise we feel as though we are always heard by the upper leadership and feel confident that they are here to support their families in any way they can. Also, we love that volunteer opportunities are always available for those parents who like to be on campus. St. Serra is giving our children the strong foundation that we know will help them succeed in all aspects of life, and for that we will be forever grateful to all the teachers, staff and leadership. We highly recommend this school for pre-school -8th grade.

My twin girls go here and it has been an incredible experience. They have thrived both academically and spiritually. It's a well rounded learning experience and I am so grateful for the amazing staff for loving my girls so much and fostering so much growth. Best decision we have made for our family. So grateful we belong to such an amazing school and community of people!

The Principal of the lower school is an unstable rude obnoxious unGodly woman. Nobody does anything bc it's a corporate mentality and they are all scared of her; she's logged a couple decades there too. Also, they're a bit disorganized. The Attendance office once called me to tell me my child was not at school that day when in fact she was! That is NOT the call you want to get as a parent bc that implies your child was abducted or ran off (from their alleged secure campus)! Very angering so we withdrew after believing our children were not in the best care...it's all political theater.

St. Junipero Serra is such a great school! Having taught in a wide variety of both public and private parochial schools, I can honestly say that St. Serra has an amazing academic program and a wonderful Catholic Christian approach. There are leveled ELA and Math classes and so many enriching classes like art, creativity lab, music, religion, etc. The teachers are such Christ-like examples of servant leaders. Beautiful facilities, cutting edge technology, after-school sports, etc. -- so much to offer!

This is supposed to be a Catholic school modeled after Jesus. My children had special needs and were kicked out!!! WWJD? Not what Serra Catholic did.

Went to this school for 4 years and there was no consideration of bullying. The administration makes you pay for almost everything and half the stuff was useless. Transferring into public I was far behind in classes. Most students are not punished for terrible attitude and they were rude and spoiled throughout. When I was bullied the supervisors didn't care until I started blaming their ignorance. Nurses cant do their jobs at all; they just say put ice on it, done, and send them back to class.

This is the worst school I have ever been to. Yes, the principle is nice, and yes, it is big. But I went there for 8 1/2 years, and hated every second of it. All they care about is money. Whether it's collections at mass, or fundraisers. They don't care about the kids, parents, they're only nice to you if you give them money. Second, bullying. Yes, I know this is a problem everywhere. But there, is like HELL. I got spit on, literally, kids would lick their fingers and wipe it on my face, clothing, all over me. I would crouch in a little ball, with the yard duty clearly seeing this, and they don't give a crap. I have also been called names, which the teachers don't care about at all, pushed, shoved, even rumors were made about me killing people, eating hamsters (long story), calling people names, making fun of my face, 2and EVEN ME TAKING DRUGS. I wore a T shirt to school that said "Yolo Stone" on it, in comparison to Yellowstone. And almost everyone in the grade agreed that meant I was taking drugs. Everyday, and I'm not kidding, everyday after school, I would climb into the car and start crying about the horrible day that I had. The teachers were there to supervise children at the pickup line, so they clearly saw me, and didn't give a crap. I have actually considered suicide all because of this horrible school. I got help, and refrained, but I attempted. NEVER go to this school. The teachers even mocked me. Not all of them, but 2 seventh grade teachers would cal me names and make fun of me. I'm not gonna say who, but don't trust the teachers. One of those teachers PURPOSELY FAILED ME. I'm not kidding. I don't know why, probably because they hated me, but that is seriously messed up. They called me a liar, and even the teachers lied about promises that they made, mostly because of free dress. But that same teacher called me a liar, and made fun of my singing voice, and how bad I was at math, and was even ruse to my friends. This is a long review, I know, but I just want to warn people about this hell they call a Catholic School. After I left I went to St. John's Episcopal School, which is SO much better. Please, don't go there. Even the nurse won't care about anything wrong with you. One time I had a cold, and they didn't care. The nurses are very rude. They also don't know how to do a proper lice check. 95% of the kids that got checked got sent home because they thought they had lice, but they actually didn't. Please, be careful if you go there, because if you do, I guarantee that they aren't as friendly as they seem.

Love the school, love the principal, love the faith but wish their teacher to student ratio was lower. One to 29 is crazy. Come on Serra Catholic, get with it. You are too good for this.
