The worst service ever. I pay 80.00 dollars for frights that I can't even watch. I just move to Palo Cedro about 5 months ago and had horrible service the whole time. Don't use this company. You will regret it.

Absolutely the worst internet provider. Constantly have no service so streaming anything is impossible and doing any kind of work is a joke. If you have the ability to use any other provider i highly suggest you do as you will be nothing but frustrated and disappointed with shastabeamshithole

ShastaBeam is a joke of a company. After paying $328 non-refundable install, I come to find out that the 15Mbps I pay $120/month for is actually only 1Mbps every single night. That's right, between the hours of 4pm-11pm, SEVEN HOURS EVERY NIGHT, I receive less than 10% of the speed I pay for. Their response? "Oh, yeah, our equipment has been on backorder for 10 months... it's going to be at least 3 months before we get more". Okay, Shasta Beam, how about you DONT SIGN UP NEW CUSTOMERS IF YOU CANT EVEN DELIVER 10% OF THE ADVERTISED SPEED. What a joke. Complete garbage company.

After more than a year of crappy service we've quit. And I feel great about it! As a rural internet customer, we were left with few options in a pandemic. I work from home and my two sons are enrolled in college FT. For a $500 installation fee, Shasta Beam promised a full refund (anytime during the first month of service) and a monthly service fee of $140. The receptionist touted unlimited bandwidth and speeds of 20-50 Mbps. And, although we never saw the promised land of 20 Mbps, we were delighted with 7 Mbps. However, after we passed our "introductory period" speeds rapidly declined to Un-usable and Un-Zoomable levels of 1- 0 Mbps.. I called Customer Support. They sent out a technician. Then another technician. And a third technician. Service would sometimes improve for a week. Sometimes it was made worse. Eventually the owner called and screamed into the phone, "WE WILL NO LONGER PROVIDE YOU WITH SERVICE!" (This preceded their 2021 decision to limit customers to 2 service calls per year.) Held hostage, with no other provider, we remained with Shasta Beam until April, 2021. Their business model is both unethical and immoral. And thanks to Elon Musk, Shasta Beam is not long for this world. We are now with Starlink, baby! (50-200 Mbps Down, 22 Mbps Up) $100/ mo.

We purchased a home in Cottonwood and learned that the previous owner had Shasta Beam LTE high speed service. Before the home sale closed, we contacted Shasta Beam to let them know we would take over service from the prior owners so no equipment had to be removed. Shasta Beam had to send a tech to install a new SIM card in the existing unit (this takes less than 30 seconds and didn't even require climbing onto the roof). The tech was here for no more than 10 minutes in total. We were charged $450.00 for activation even though no installation was actually done. When I complained to the management team at Shasta Beam, I was told that even though no work was really done here, "there was about 45 minutes of configuration work done back at the office" that would explain why they still charged us $450.00 for the "activation". This is a dishonest and unfair billing practice. Buyer beware.

I live out in the middle of nowhere and had basically written off getting good internet service. A friend recommended Shastabeam and it's great. Can't recommend it highly enough!

I was super excited when I first got this internet, but after the first month, I was very disappointed. I tried calling about issues in the past and switched companies because I just felt like I was getting brushed under the rug. I was told they had new internet and would be better than the viasat that shasta beam offered before, so I paid a hefty $500 dollars for the installation after the early termination fee for switching back to shasta beam. I was getting great results and was happy to pay $130 a month. It had felt like I made a good investment, but it quickly turned to irritation. Every day I come home and just want to put my feet up and relax, but by the time I get home, the internet speeds are so slow, internet becomes unusable. My wife says it starts at about 5pm, it usually doesn't speed back up until after 2am. I understand peak hours, but I didn't realize it was EVERY DAY nearly all day. I will start doing a speed test every day and posting the results once a week on Yelp, google and other places to help you guys to decide for yourselves if you want to go through with it. It is 1:30 am now and am getting .01 mbps and will post this picture with the time in the top corner. If I were you I would look elsewhere for internet.
