This cool place is a hidden treasure on the Avenue of the giants old redwood highway. From sweatshirts & T'ees to items made from Redwood & too many knickknacks & treasures to mention. My grandson insists we come visit on a weekend as we are only 45 minutes away. Take the Redcrest/Avenue of the giants exit. Beautiful scenery on the way, then river access further down. Welcome to beautiful Humboldt County coast side # Love where I live

I stopped here at Redcrest Resort & Gift Shop while driving the Avenue of the Giants scenic drive. It is located in the heart of Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Redcrest has cabins and RV hookup spots if you want to stay overnight in the park. There is also a large gift shop out front with bathrooms and a big "Redwoods" sign for photo ops. I stopped in for a some snacks and to purchase a couple souvenirs before moving on to my next destination.

Stopped here to buy some souvenirs on our trip to Avenue of giants. They had good collection of hoodies t-shirts, caps and several other items. Ended up buying few hoodies from the shop. Great place to buy souvenirs.

Perfect little place to stop and smell the redwoods, so to speak. They have a bit of everything for you.

Quaint cabin with small lounge/dining room. Very small kitchen 2 bedrooms, and bathroom. Settee uncomfortable, due to springs poking through fabric. All very dated, but goes well with the environment. Only downside to the bedrooms, is that you have to walk through another bedroom to get to the bathroom. Fortunately, my relatives were fine with me visiting the bathroom several times during the night. Gift shop very well stocked.

Beware, when I called and booked the cabin I was told the rate is what is listed on their website, and since I was within their 7 day no refund period I figured the amount listed on their website would be my cost plus TOT and other fees. When I arrived at dusk, with no other options near by, and checked in the cabin rate increased by $50.00. Up 40% from the price listed on the website. When I questioned this I was told the amount on the website was for a 3 or more days stay. I can not find on their website that reference the rate for multiple day stays. So, since I was within the no refund period I was stuck in their BAIT & SWITCH. Plus, prominently displayed on their website is their AAA award and on the roadside in front of the property is a AAA sign. When asked about AAA rates, I was told they do not have a AAA rate. Beware of this Bait & Switch.

If I could give them negative stars, I would!! This place is horrible. Please notice on their website their prices say, "starting price" they believe they can charge whatever they feel like that when you check in. They are extremely rude when you are checking in so it makes you want to get the check in over with quickly. In doing so, they put in a much higher price and you sign not paying attention. When you point this out, they refer you back to the "starting price" line and since you have signed and given them your credit card they refuse to be an ethical business and refund you the money. We were overcharged by over $300! Other visitors confirmed that they did it to them as well. Do not stay here!! There is mold on the ceiling. The carpets are stained. The water comes out to cold or to hot. But all of that is not the worst. The worst is the staff there has no class and will stand there and raise their voice (super rude) and they do not care that there are other customers present. Too bad I didn't read the reviews before we booked. My family and I were so appalled at this place. They mistreated all of us. They were RUDE to each and everyone of us. Overcharged all of us!! I hope I can save anyone else from having to have their vacations ruined with people like this. When people go on vacation it is not be taken advantage of so blatantly and to be mistreated. If you don't want your vacation ruined. Skip this place!!!! They have no business sense, morals or business etiquette.

“Be nice or get out”. This is what their sign says so I guess they and their policies should gtfo of the redwoods because I experienced the opposite of nice!

I stayed in one of their cabins. It was tiny but very clean, and super close to the trails. Their gift shop is well stocked and the folks at the counter are nice. I would go back there just as a good solid base to hike one of my favorite forests.

Very cute gift shop with a good variety of items at various price points. The store is spacious and well maintained, and the staff there were very nice to chat with.
