Absolutely worth the price. They had breakfast, a complimentary cocktail hour-style event on the day we arrived, and the rooms were so clean. After a long trip with lots of driving, we treated ourselves to the 2 queens suite, and it was lovely. Everything was fresh and tidy. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean.I appreciated the front desk staff answering our questions and providing suggestions. Our only complaint is that we could easily hear someone above us. We were on the 3rd floor and at 2am were awoken by the loudest walking and shuffling around from above us. That continued all night. It was loud enough that I assumed it was a staff/supply room. I believe it was a guest room. It didn’t ruin our stay, but if you are sensitive to noise, you might consider getting the 4th floor (wasn’t available to us) or staying elsewhere.

I had stayed here about 20 years ago and needed a place to overnight recently. I figured it wou,d be run down by now but the reviews were good so I chose it. I was pleasantly surprised. It has been updated and maintained. The evening reception included soup so I didn't have to go out for a bite. The breakfast had a nice selection including freshly made scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, fresh strawberries as well as the typical fair found in hotel breakfasts. The staff was friendly and helpful. The stY exceeded my expectations. I will stay again.

Been staying here for a number of years on our occasional trips to Redding. We love this place. And breakfast! A real hot breakfast. Not to mention lots of other postives, but I'll leave it right here. Keep it up. Oxford House.

Needs a refresh. One of the better breakfast bars in this hotel class.

Hands down THE BEST place to stay in Redding. From the atmosphere, to the anticipated needs. The entire experience here is amazing. A 100% must if your looking to stay in a clean, and comfortable place.Rooms: Unbelievably comfortable beds, and pillows. Extra linen inside the room. So clean, that they appear to never been used...Nearby activities: Just a few short minutes from sundial, and other downtown entertainment. Wonderful sidewalks, allow for the convenience of a stroll to near by attractions, and an short easy drive. There are great restaurants that ajoin either side of the property.Safety: Lighting, cameras, auto locking exterior doors, security and a very attentive staff assures you to your safety, and security.Walkability: There are so many natural beauty's in Redding that are accessed via the many walking trails around the area, and all can be accessed from the front sidewalks of this hotel......Food & drinks: A warm cooked breakfast awaits you in the morning, along with welcoming smiles from the kitchen staff, who go above and beyond to make sure your met with a smile, and a warm welcome. Such an inviting atmosphere that you leave with the warmth of a hug, and a blissful feeling.... warm cookies too! Yep they have warm cookies (different types) in the evening, and favored water, and coffee in the lobby. The hotel offers, a free drink, and appetizers with each stay, and a wonderful bar to relax or unwind at the end of the evening. It's amazing bartender "Tayor" has the experience, and skill to wisp away the tolls of the day, and turn any frown into a smile.Noteworthy details: The entire staff, was completely above and beyond with making sure everything was clean, and that each guests needs were completely met. The pool and hot tub were cleaned throughout the entire day, and the 2 beautiful outside sitting areas have fire tables... which gives you the amazing cozy feeling, of a campfire.

An excellent dog-friendly stop on our way through California!Don't believe what you read about this hotel online. It's all been renovated and was our best sleep on our 4 day trip. Sure the walls are not completely sound proof (what hotel is?) but after 10pm it was peace and quiet. The rooms are cozy and I have to note the great decor!Complimentary cocktail hour in the lobby was a great touch as well as the little goody bag we got for our pup. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was kind. I would 100% stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a stop on their way through!

The room was clean but tiny so the king sized bed took up too much space. At $150+/night they could have had some bacon or sausage on the breakfast buffet.

We booked the two bedrooms suite and had a lovely stay. The front desk staff is attentive and friendly. The room is sparkling clean with modern interior. The hot water kettle and steeping coffee bag is so convenient- I wish every hotel offers that! We were pleasantly delighted by the welcome drink (beer/wine) and appetizers which is such a nice touch. A small nitpick is that we head steps/noises from above - could be a loud guest or poor sound insulation. It didn’t bother our stay and we just hope that we weren’t too loud for who stayed beneath us. Highly recommend and would stay again!

I stayed two separate nights at the end of December this year and last year.First off, the staff is excellent and helpful. The hotel itself looks great, but has several problems that will make me not return.1. Noise is a real problem. The rooms in this hotel leak so much noise it's unbelievable. You can hear other guests TV so easily, even though its apparent they have it at a reasonable volume. Full conversations are audible. You can easily hear someone clear their throat in an adjacent room.2. The bathrooms are newly renovated but against code. There was no exhaust fan in the second room we stayed in. This is against the mechanical code and a big inconvenience to not be able to clear out the steam and odors. The showers are configured so that you must enter the stall to turn on and adjust the water, while getting blasted with cold water. This is against the plumbing code.3. In addition to being able to hear them everywhere, The TVs in the room are small and sound worse than a phone speaker. Surprising, given how cheap good TVs are nowadays. Those things left us really dissapointed with our multiple stays and will be the reason we will stay elsewhere next year.

We had an amazing experience while checking-in, thanks to Melissa and Hugo specifically who were really patient and helped us with the room we wanted. Never ever experienced such friendly staff who went out of their way to make us comfortable.

Great accommodations. Staff was well inform and welcoming. Assured us the property is safe, with parking lot security cameras and crews. Complimentary drinks and lite food from 5:30-7:30pm and hot breakfast 6-9am. Heated pool and hot tub with fire pit tables. A steak house, next door.Very clean. Would recommend staying here.
