I am removing my 5 star rating from Save Mart the Butcher and his assistant actually yelled at me in public today. I asked for a rolled roast
They loudly informed they had never heard of that type of roast. I am recommending older women in the Redding area go somewhere else. This is not ok.

When they first opened in this new building they had amazing service. Free fruit and vegetable cutting, ice cream counter and many more top tier grocery store features. Now they seem to be slipping so much it makes me sad! No more fruit cut to order, removed that whole offering, and getting help at any counter is so much harder as they seem to have half the staff as before. Now they got rid of the ice cream scoop center. My kids loved this and was a great reason for me to go in and usually buy many more items. You can’t cut all the great features and still charge higher than normal prices, they will ultimately fail. I will be going much less now and can’t wait for a new top tier grocery store to open called Holiday, brand new building.

We bought the ready to go hot meals for family dinner. Everyone the next day woke up sick with congested throats and stuffed noses, and found that it traced back to the food we bought here. This hasn’t happened before so we hope this is a one misfortune.

I always have a wonderful experience shopping at this grocery store. Employees are always friendly. Store is kept very clean.

My husband and myself needed fruit salad for the lunch at my Mother-in-Law’s 100th Birthday Party. We were able to get exactly what was needed at Save mart in Redding, CA. I spoke with Shayne in the fresh fruit section and he was VERY helpful and personable, as were the other employees in that section. Shayne was able to assure us that we could pick up the fruit bowls the morning of the party. The fruit was fresh and beautifully displayed. Thank you, Shayne, and Save Mart!

Sav Mart has best produce, deli, and meat departments. Memorial Day sales are incredible with tri-tip going for buy 1 get 1 free on single packs as well as untrimmed multi-packs. Quick check out and friendly cashiers.

The hot box in the back that has all the smoked items needs to be checked it keeps the food room temp. I just purchased and almost ate chicken wings that were room temp. I live less than a mile from the store, 5 min from the hot box they were all room temp. Never buying hotfood here again.

I use to spend alot of money here but now this place is a joke ..... I don't want to hear about what you're peddling before I enter the store.... They have someone out there all the time trying to sell you something or straight out asking for donations ? Not the time or place for such discussions.... shame on you SAVEMART

Great fresh fruit.
Fruit and veggies can be cleaned and chopped at no extra cost.
The meat counter is so helpful
The deli will slice up whatever you need.
With a great verity of stuff.
