Shasta Boot Company is great! I have gone here for years. If you need new boots or old boots repaired this is the place to go. They also sell coats and work clothes. I bought a knife here a week ago but I cut my finger. Brian did tell me to be careful so I can't blame him. Honestly, good business to support!

I brought my Birkenstocks in to repair the right shoe because my puppy had chewed the strap. I saw on the Birkenstock website that Shasta Boot Company is an authorized Birkenstock repair shop, so I thought they must do a good job (wrong). The guy that helped me was rude; first, he lectured me about how I shouldn't have let my puppy chew my shoe, then he refused to take the left shoe to use as a side guide or reference for cutting the strap (he said he was an expert at his craft and didn't need it). He said it'd be ready in about a week.A week and a half goes by and I hadn't heard anything, so I called and they said my shoe was ready. When I went in to pick it up, first of all the shoe was a mess- it had glue smudged all over the side, and the bottom of the shoe was bulged out. The same guy helped me- he was bragging about what a good job he did and how he had to purchase a new hide of white leather so it'd match. I tried on the shoe ad the strap was so small, I couldn't get my foot in (and clearly smaller than my still intact left shoe). He was mad that the strap was too small (but if he'd just taken the left shoe as reference, the strap probably wouldn't have been too small), but agreed to fix it. He still refused my other shoe to use as reference.Another week goes by, I go in and the strap is on, but uncut. The shoe is yet again, covered in glue and bulging on the bottom. He tells me to try it on and he'll cut it the right length. So he does, and FINALLY uses my other shoe as reference for where to put the buckle holes. He cut the strap straight across, so I asked if he could cut it diagonally to match the other side, the is upset him again. He was so frustrated that I still didn't like them and cut the strap so uneven. I was done at this point. Waste of money, I wish I'd just thrown them away and bought a new pair. Don't take your Birks here.

Went to check out the store. Asked if the sold tactical boots. Was informed that tactical boots aren't real boots. Tactical boots are good enough for our soldiers to fight and die in. But not a boot? Will never go back!

This is a good place to get your boots repaired. They are friendly and knowledgeable. Had some boots stretched and had the soles repaired in some others.

Don't get your boots resoled here. When they did my redwings they lost so much height on the arch that I could barely fit them on, and the boots were oversized to begin with. When I brought em back in the owner basically said it must have been my fault for storing em somewhere hot (I live in humboldt where my apartment is a constant 70 degrees, even in summer). They stretched the boots out but they still went from an 8 1/2 to 7 1/2 in the arch and toebox width so they're trash now.Good enough shop on every other front, but I can't give them a good rating when I spent 480 dollars there (the redwings, laces, footsoles and resole) and got 1 year of wear in return. Still would have been okay with the place if the owner just admitted he messed up and didn't blame me. I wasn't even bein rude to the guy.
