This places air conditioner will not cool the room down and it will turn off and on all night; from dead silence to LOUD. Just spend $15 more and go to a better place.

Due to the McKinley fire all the hotel's we're booked. Another hotel suggested Sundial Lodge. When I looked at the building I was expecting an old property. I was pleasantly surprised that other than being small it was very nice. Not a bad stay.

You stay there and they expect you to clean your room, even take your trash to the dumpster. I asked for clean towels and it took them 2 days to give me clean towels.I will never stay at that place again.

The hallways look like something out of The Shining,The room itself was comfortable...we didn't encounter any bugs... at least not in our room. There was a small refrigerator...and a small microwave. No coffee pot.We arrived around 1am and paid $400 for the remainder of the night and for the next day and got $40 back when we checked out.A little over priced considering the time of night we checked in.At least in my opinion

County using this location to house the homeless, aka Project Roomkey.Found cockroaches in the hallway, had no less than 10 bug bites my first night. Reported the issue to my case manager.Got my negative test results, but still no housekeeping.

Here at the Sundial Lodge it's not so bad at all. The owners here are great people very friendly. The laundry is very clean. The staff is very friendly, speaks English, and strives to help you get the best out of your stay, especially if it's an extended stay. Each room has its own phone it's on fridge a table some chairs television dresser large king size bed. The room comes with a window in a bathroom you may get a good view or not but it's right in the heart of downtown Redding right next to the Sacramento river right next to the park close to everything I've been walking distance. Your bathroom may have a shower or a bathtub some are larger than others but vs some places I've stayed and paid big money for it's all around very decent. There are many here that are here for extended stays others that are here for short stays there is no pool buddy room has an air conditioning that includes a heater the rooms are very clean and up keep in the rooms is every Monday Wednesday and Friday. People here for extended stays do clean their own rooms and management does come in and make sure that the room has been cleaned only to check in and make sure you're not destroying the room. This motel will at least my room does not come with a list of disgusting whatnot including vermin like bed bugs that is not an issue that I have in my room and is up kept as the management keeps this place I don't imagine that any room comes along with blood sucking vermin's. Staff is great the rooms are clean mini fridge microwave cable roof over your head the door that locks what could you really ask for. I have enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to people that have the idea to rent a room or to stay here momentarily while they get affairs in order or what not I would recommend it. I stay here it's been awesome management has been great the ability to get fresh linen and the vacuum cleaner toilet paper what not has been awesome as well as unexpected. I like how management here requested that each individual person per room or what not cleans their own room especially for extended stay and gives you the cleaning tools you need to clean it it's also nice that they kind of check in to make sure that people aren't destroying a nice place like this. I give this a dialogue four stars as I would give it five however there's no Wi-Fi minus the Wi-Fi star four stars is awesome in this place is great. Not bad for home away from home.

I wish I could give this zero stars. I'm leaving right now. Our first room had a TV that didn't work so we got moved to another room and the worker seemed aggitated after we spent $100. Got into the other room. (I've been a hotel housekeeper for the past year) but even being a housekeeper I didn't need to search to find FRESH BLOOD on the wall next to the trash can and blood stains behind the mattress(which is a huge sign of bedbugs). Grossest hotel I have ever been in. STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Mini fridge had not been defrosted in forever so it didn't work all that well but neither was the Comfort Inn at twice the price.... Clean and friendly staff. No pool and ice machine is .25 cents, but overall very nice and fast wifi.

Surprisingly great for the price!Everything was extremely clean with a comfortable bed, nice shower, and super quiet. The room wasnt huge but had everything needed for a nights stay. ice, mini fridge, microwave, and wifi. I highly recommend the Sundial Lodge.

It was a difficult time during the Carr fire and Mary at the Sundial Lodge in Redding, California went above and beyond the call of duty with her support of my mom. My mom, in her late 80s was given 10 minutes to evacuate. After spending the first night in a gas station parking lot, she was able to get a comfortable room with a life-saving air conditioner. The smoke outside was eye burning. Mary never stopped working. The air was unhealthy and she continued in her efforts to make our stay a true blessing. She was able to accommodate us with two rooms, my mom’s was on the ground level. My room on the second floor had a fantastic view of the hillside my mom had been evacuated from. Mary offered to take care of my mom, getting her whatever she needed and take her home when the evacuation was lifted, allowing me to return to work in SoCal. All of this while her hotel was across the street from the evacuated area and widespread power outages. Mary put the comfort and well-being of her guests first, before her own health. She was a true angel. She was an amazing example of someone who stepped up to help those dealing with a terrible disaster.

You expect a total dive and it turns out to be better than the 5 stars in town. From the outside it looks pretty pathetic but get to your room and there's hardwood floors which is so cool. There's nice wood furniture, a totally modern bed, windows that open, a microwave, refrigerator (inexplicably best westerns no longer have microwaves} air conditioning a tv, and it's clean! Someone mentioned small beds, a King is a king. They don't come in sizes, I asked for a king and that's what I got. I oh and the lady who runs it is very pleasant.
