I don't know if all of these workers were just having the worst days of their lives or what? But here's the story. My husband went into U-Haul to ask questions about renting a storage unit and literally all of the workers looked at him and ignored him. Just blatantly... for NO REASON. My husband is literally the sweetest, most laid back guy. He called the uhaul help line (1-800 number) to ask questions about availability and the people on the phone made him go back inside. The second time he walked in there the general manager walked out and literally said "He's still here?!" in a rude tone. Like what the hell is wrong with these people? Matt, Dylan, Justin, Joseph... you suck! Definitely make the drive to Red Bluff or go elsewhere if you need a unit.

I've always had a good experience here. We've rented a few pickups and a trailer over the years, and purchased numerous packing supplies. Staff have always been friendly and helpful, and all the reservations were ready when I expected them to be.

Don't know what's happening to others, but I got great service. The truck was kind of wonky (but it got the job done).I rarely give five stars (usually I do these reviews to complain), but fair is fair. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile, got fast service, and I was out the door in a few minutes . Granted, I was the only one there, but I certainly wasn't treated to the rudeness and unprofessional behavior that other viewers have mentioned. I asked questions about this and that, and the answers weren't coming back to me as though I were bothering them. Very helpful. Maybe they're under new management, because these guys couldn't have been any more customer oriented, which seems a bit different than others here have mentioned. They should give me a discount for the kind words, lol, but I'm just glad the other reviews didn't come close to my experience.I'll rent from them again, of course; although, I'd prefer my wife let me get an old VW Bus. But that's not going to happen unless I win the lottery.

The lot was large and easy to maneuver. Very helpful staff and easy to fill my propane tank on the Ol RV.

Made a "Guaranteed" reservation at U-Haul on Cypress Street in Redding and when I arrived to pick up the truck, it was unavailable. For the 2nd week in a row. Fortunately the first time that this happened I was able to postpone the scheduled work and they paid me $50 for my trouble. Pissed me off.Today, having the truck unavailable and not being able to put off the work any longer, I'm really pissed off.Having the employee that was at the desk just say " whatever" when I let him know that this was the second guaranteed reservation in a week that was not able to be filled really, really pissed me off and has prompted this review. After I waited on hold with UH customer service for 28 minutes, I was told by the agent that took the call that she couldn't help, but would transfer me to someone else that could. The recording that I received when she made the transfer indicated that it would be approximately 48 minutes before my call would be answered. As you may guess, I'm really, really, really pissed of by now, but as the UH rep at Cypress Street says, "whatever".As I weigh what my time is worth and that it really won't effect how U-Haul does business, or how the daily life of the schlubs that work at the Cypress Street location in Redding or how they operate, I'm taking stock in the fact that I am venting my frustration, lowering my stress level and hopefully helping others by sharing my experience and that they think about who they call when they need a truck rental. The truth is, I will get another $50 from them today ($100 this week alone!) and stay pissed off about it until the day comes when I need another rental truck. I will then make another "guaranteed" reservation with U-Haul, get the credit when they don't perform and use it to offset the charges for a truck next door at Enterprise. The truck I got today was a 2021 F-250 with 1900 miles on it. New truck smell galore!I don't know much, but I do know that a good customer service experience is talked about for approximately 2 weeks. Conversely, a poor customer service experience is discussed for about 11 years. Ask me about U-Haul in 2032 and I will probably be happy to share my opinion...

What a JOKE! This place was my go to for truck rentals. If your smart, find another place to rent!!!! I rented a pickup truck in October to move a couple things out of storage to my place. I rented the truck shortly after 9am and had it back shortly after 11am. I did not have the truck a full 2 hours and now responsible for $1,836 worth of damage!!! First off, after getting the truck, the contract stated it had half a tank of gas, I get into the truck and it was a little over a 1/4 tank. I went back inside and had someone come out to verify. 1st sign there was something wrong. After getting my few things and heading back to uhaul, I pulled in the bay to return the truck. The guy took my keys did his inspection and I was on my way. No issues! Months later I get an email from uhaul insurance adjusters stating I caused damage to the truck and did not report it. I contacted their insurance adjuster and was informed I needed to contact Uhaul about the incident. After contacting Uhaul and waiting for a response from a supervisor, I get another letter stating I owed them money. I've included the photo in this post. If I was a worker for Uhaul and someone returned a vehicle with this large scratch down the side. I would definitely ask about the huge gouge down the side. I went into the local shop after getting no where with corporate. Waited atleast 20 minutes for the manager to come out which was a WASTE of time. He was at all no help and just "sympathized" for my issue but was not his issue as I needed to deal with corporate. Then he informed me that they don't even have the truck, they sold it. So now I'm paying for a truck that they said I damaged although the damage was not recorded till 1.5hrs (documented on their end) after I returned the truck. Needless to say, Uhaul is not getting a dime from me and will continue to fight it. They messed up and are making me pay for it. I don't doubt someone there scratched it and is not owning up to it!!
