Rene, "only a receptionist" was incredibly unhelpful. I came in during my 45 min lunch to try and get my registration stickers after doing my smog check. I let her know I was unsure what to do or where to go immediately into the interaction, I told her that I was told by my mom that all I had to do was go in and show them my smog check result and they'd be able to help me out the rest of the way. This was unfortunately not the case. Rene did not help me out at all, didn't send me in the right director or even suggest anything helpful, she said she couldn't look up anything since she was "just a receptionist". I was incredibly disappointed to see the absolute lack of customer service displayed. I understand it was a busy day, but even with that Rene had to be reminded to suggest the Highlands location, since they were so backed up.

Long wait time for DMV services. Seems they only have 1 or 2 people working the DMV section.

We came in to book a flight package, Micheal perez help us out. we had a bad experience with it and we contacted him, He claimed he was going to look into it. And does not answer, returned phone calls emails What a way to represent AAA.
This just gave us a different out look on AAA.

Came into the office today for someone to explain an issue with my insurance bill. The gentleman who was handling me couldn't quite answer so he handed me off to some woman whom he said was on loan from the Financial dept of their insurance division. As I sat down she began to explain my payments. She began to explain that I had only made one payment. However, I was in the 3rd month/payment of the current Insurance policy of which I had the bill in hand to prove her incorrect. She disagreed. I said I have already made 3 payments then listed them for her and the amounts. She then began to tell me that the first payment I made for this years insurance policy was actually for last years insurance policy which I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR IN FULL LAST YEAR. When I explained to her that I was 3 months/payments into this years policy she then proceeded to tell me that last months payment was also for last years policy. At this point I am thinking I am going crazy or in the twilight zone....I had to correct her and tell her again that I am 3 payments into this year's policy. She then tells me that if I wouldn't talk so much she would explain. At which point she says the same thing she had been saying that the first two payments of THIS YEARS POLICY was for last years policy WHICH I ALREADY PAID IN FULL LAST YEAR. She is getting angry and snotty with me and kept telling me I was incorrect and when I pointed out to her on her own computer screen where she was mistaken she kept saying the same thing over and over. At this point I had had enough of AAA acting like I am insane and not answering any of my questions reasonably that I stood up and began to yell and curse at her. I walked out of the branch before I was thrown out. If this company didn't save me money I would go somewhere else but considering the state of the economy and other insurance being insane I suppose one could say you get what you pay for. I have never experienced more incompetence and utter lack of knowledge about their own practices than this company.

After a decade with AAA Auto Insurance, the time has come to part ways. In the time I've had insurance through AAA, I've moved a bit and visited many offices. My complaints aren't specifically with this particular office (the staff is at least polite enough, although maybe not competent and honest, it seems), although I'm experiencing the same issue here that has been my experience with all the other offices: for some incomprehensible reason, they simply NEVER can get my Annual Mileage right, whether I call them, use the convoluted website, or even visit in person. And since they can't record my mileage accurately, I can't trust that my policy rates are as low as they should be. Every. Single. Year, they mess it up, and I have to take the extra time to straighten them out. WHY is there such a problem?? On top of this increasingly-irritating issue, my auto insurance policy DOUBLED this year, despite my never having an accident or claim in my entire LIFE. I do realize that California has become an increasingly expensive market for insurance companies, and I was expecting a slight rate hike this year; some online reports suggested increases of 25-30% were likely. I was shocked to see mine DOUBLED. Now, I certainly could have found far less expensive insurance in the past decade. I continually paid AAA's rates for the peace of mind that I was insured with a reputable, member-focused organization. Yet after all the years and dollars spent, AAA is rewarding my loyalty with a kick in the teeth. I won't take it any longer. Like so much in this Liberal mess of a State, Law-Abiding citizens are punished for the crimes of those who flagrantly disregard the system, and are rewarded for it. If you can afford to have your bank account drained, so that the illegals, politicians and insurance companies can maintain their exploitive lifestyles, perhaps AAA Auto Insurance is right for you. For me... I'm OUT.

Nobody picks up the phone or takes calls and they often screw many things up when setting up an account. Do not get in an accident if you don't want your rate to double. Everyone increases their insurance rate when you get in an accident but AAA will go higher than anyone else.

If you have a registration issue ask for Monique when you walk in. She quickly and easily solved a complicated registration/title issue I had. Also, there were 20 to 30 people in line when the door opened but I still went right up to a counter. They were very fast. Great place to do DMV.
