She was my cat’s vet since 1987. My ex wife said I should have married Chris. Getting ready to take in my 10 year old Golden Doodle.

Dr Hutson is an amazing doctor. We have taken our dog and cat to her for over 5 years. She leads with compassion and loves our animals as if they were her own. Our dog dances in excitement when we pull into the parking lot because he loves coming to see her. She performed a complicated surgery on our cat that was a success and called or emailed to check in every couple of days until his follow up visit. We trust her recommendations and guidance and I strongly recommend her.

Christina prescribed 7 days of clavomox but they only gave me 4 1/2 days I called them to discuss this and they said they would give me another bottle, since I don't have a car I couldn't get down there right away, finally my sister was able to pick it up for me , but they charged us another $35. I called to dispute the charges, but they said they would have to call me back, they never did, and once again I ran out of med day 5?

They have shady office practices, the vet who I truly believe loves animals, but she is a bit more expensive than other vet prescribed 7 days of antibiotics for my cat, but I ran out of medication in 4 1/2 days , I called and they said I could have another bottle, but when my sister picked it up a couple days later, they charged her? When I got home and found out, I called them to complain, and after awhile they said they would have to call me back, they never did..and once again my cat started getting better but than I ran out of medication again on day 5, so frustrating and so angry they didn't call back and reverse that charge. I do however think the vet is knowledgeable, if you want to deal with this.

My friend took her kitten to Dr. Hudson and was very impressed by her professionalism and expertise. Her pricing was reasonable. She was gentle and kind with little Lucy. Thank you.

Couldn't ask for an overall better team! Animal hospital of Redondo beach is the best vet I've ever worked with. I have been seeing them now for 6+ years and just got another puppy 5 month ago. In which, has made our visits much more frequent as of lately. The whole team at AHORB is outstanding! They all are working there because they have a heart to help animals (and comfort this crazy dog mom). Dr. Hutson herself goes above and beyond to ensure you feel supported and your dog is well taken care of. She herself calls and checks in post-op, even on the weekends. The above and beyond that they provide is what keeps us coming back. They truly make you feel like family.

I'm sure these people deserve the good reviews for dogs, but for cats they leave something to be desired. We brought one of my cats for his yearly vaccines after our last vet (Redondo Beach Veterinary Medical Center who we adored) unexpectedly stopped seeing patients. They told us they break it up and do one now and one in a month to lessen reactions, however that makes it WAY more stressful for my indoor cat. I'm sure for other animals this is a good method, but it caused my cat so much unnecessary stress to bring him twice when he's had no problem getting his vaccines at once in previous years. Also, when we brought him back for the second round of vaccines he had a lump from the injection sight of the last shot. The doctor was very nonchalant and acted like it wasn't a big deal, casually saying things like "This happens with cats. He'll probably have to get surgery." Acting like surgery isn't traumatic and expensive. The bed side manner left a lot to be desired. Also, I ended up having to take my other cat to a specialist (T.H.E. Cat Hospital, I highly recommend them) for her long term issues because I felt like I was not being listened to here. When I ask a question or bring up past medical history both in person and on the phone I feel like I'm not being taken seriously and I'm being talked over. I've had my cats for almost 5 years, I've been to a lot of vets all of the city and know their health issues and really don't appreciate being looked down on. Also, because of the old and small facility it is full of allergens. I've had to use allergy medication after leaving the office both times, and I've never had to do that at another vet office. Also, my cats get way more nervous here then anywhere else I've taken them, probably because of the same issue. It's loud in there too with how small it is. Oh, and they told me my cat is overweight, but then tried to feed him gross Frisky's and Fancy Feast when I already have him on much higher quality food. I couldn't believe a vet was offering such low quality crap! What I'm saying is there are a lot of problems here, most of which I was fine to overlook at first, but my cat getting a bump from the vaccine was the final straw and I will not be returning.

Dr. Hudson is the best for skittish kitties! After coming back to LA and needing to get my furbaby paperwork for our trip overseas (which ultimately didn't happen bc of Norwegian abruptly changing their pet policy), right down to his check ups while we were gone - done by his fur grandma Dr. Hudson and her staff have gone above and beyond in explaining everything, taking the time to show true empathy, compassion and caring for our skittish little boy.
