This amazing jeweler fixed my engagement ring & wedding band from the terrible job from Precise Jewelry in Torrance. I am so grateful and would highly recommend this jeweler. He is very knowledgeable.

My husband and I have been going to Sam for new jewelry and repair of old and well loved pieces. He repaired an old Cartier watch as well as numerous items of jewelry. My 55 year old engagement ring was worn and needed a sturdier setting along with the two eternity rings that I wore with it. Sam did a brilliant job of repair and the rings look brand new. Today, I went in to make a small purchase, and Sam checked my rings and made a minor repair on a bracelet I was wearing. I highly recommend him. He is truly a master craftsman. I would not trust my jewelry with anyone else.

Over the last year I have had several repairs done at Riviera Jewelers and have been very pleased with his expertise. He refurnished 2 expensive watches, enlarged a sterling ring, as well as cleaning and polishing several pair of errings. He is extremely knowledgeable in his craft. Although the wait time can be long, he tells you this up front.

Had a few piece of jewelry done there. He does do good work but not worth the hassle. BEWARE: He never has your items done on time and I mean you wait and wait and wait. I waited 12 weeks for something that he said would be done in 3 weeks. He loses the ticket and can't find his paperwork on top of it. When I called once he told me it's not done and I don't know when it will be done. I got tired of waiting and said I'll pick it up undone. We had an appointment and I texted him to say I was on my way, I could see that the message was read. So I headed down to the shop and it was closed. I texted and said you aren't here. He texted me back to say he had a fever and wasn't in. OK....so he read my text and let me drive there, pay for parking and not mentioned he wasn't in. I then waited two more weeks to give him to to recover and still item not done (12 weeks now). I told him I'd be in to pick up my ring done or not. I went it and of course he wasn't done, I waited for it. That was and is the last time I will go there. I had another incident prior but didn't learn my lesson and figured that since he did nice work I would give it a go. Boy was I wrong! I'm sure there are other jewelers that do good work that don't j*** you around.

Don’t go here - jeweler was borderline rude but we accepted it because we assumed he was skilled. We left my wife’s 20k wedding ring for repairs and he insisted we set an appointment for pick up. When we showed up for pick up he was closed- gave us no notice. We finally contacted him by phone and he could not locate her ring even though we had detailed claim check. I showed up in person and said he needed to produce ring or I was calling police/insurance company. I sat for 30 minutes as he went through drawers of jewelry- seemed like a very haphazard storage methodology for expensive jewelry- he finally found it and was not the least bit apologetic or nice - buyer beware! Also he admitted he had not even looked at ring even though he had it for two weeks and at this point several days past pick up date he set.

Don't go here! We dropped off my wife's 20K wedding ring for repairs - jeweler was gruff and borderline rude but we took it because he was highly rated and we assumed skilled at his craft. He had the ring for 2 weeks - he insisted we set an appointment to pick it up - when we showed up for our appointment, he was closed. We finally contacted him by phone and he could not locate the ring even though we had detailed claim check. I showed up in person and told him he needed to produce the ring or I was calling police. I stayed for about 30 minutes as he went through various bins - I was horrified at such a haphazard filing system for expensive jewelry- he eventually found it and was not apologetic in the least. Buyer beware!

First off. DONT GO HERE. He offered me 5 different high quality items that weren't mine. FIVE. Sounds like a good place to loose your jewelry. I took my jewelry to get worked on 2 months ago. I call weekly after the first month, because he said it would be done in a couple weeks. I get my jewelry today and I'm so upset. Out of the 4 items I brought him, he ruined 2 items indefinitely and didn't fix the other item. I got a necklace restrung and it looks like a child fixed it because the beads are in no order and just thrown on. Then I brought in my favorite opal ring, it needed a metal bar put in and re-gluing (PER HIS RECOMMENDATION). I got it back, and it was only cleaned... poorly, it still has dirt on it. The other item just needed to have a clamp replaced and he replaced it with his own piece (instead of the original) and in silver instead of gold. This chain is cheaper, so it's plated, and half of the plating was stripped off. Absolutely ruined. DO NOT GO HERE.

This review was way delayed but better late than never. Been coming to Mr. Sam for years he does excellent job and very, very honest. I went to him to check on the jewelry that was purchased from another stone and like before he gave me an honest feedback. He gave fair price and he is very accommodating to your needs. My whole family has been going to him as well. I still go to his shop despite driving 1 hour from where I live ( call it crazy but it’s hard to find trusted jeweler ) .

I normally only write great reviews, but I am so heartbroken over what happened at this location, that I had to write this. I took my 20yrs old beautiful 18inch pearl necklace I received as a birthing gift when my son was born for Sam to restring. It had broken once before many years ago and I had it restrung. I wear it often for work and so of course it broke again. My husband took my strand in because he has trusted Sam with other work and purchases before. Sam has my necklace for 3 weeks and charged for a restringing and a new clasp he suggested was needed. When I received the necklace back the Strand was only 16.5inches and the pearls where not my pearls. They were different, dented, had several deep holes and misshapen. When I called Sam he said that was not possible because of the way he handles the jewelry he receives. I sent him various pictures to show the difference and he said that it was hard to see what my original necklace looked like. I was devastated. I didn't go to work two days later just so I can go return this necklace and get mine back. When I met with Sam he refused to acknowledge he had made an error and only showed me other necklaces. He suggested I Purchase another necklace from him if I was unhappy with my repair!! Excuse me?? I just want my necklace back! He refused to acknowledge that even the strand was much shorter and said that because he had 30yrs experience he knew this was my necklace and he wasn't born yesterday. I just kept asking for my necklace back. He said that sometimes restringing shrinks a necklace. That may be true but a whole inch and 1/2??? I've had my necklace restrung before and it was always 18 inches! He even showed me the original ticket he had filled out himself when he received my necklace and it was clearly stated by him that it was 18inches. At the end Sam said I could purchase ANOTHER necklace from him but he would keep the other necklace. I don't want that necklace. I simply want mine back. I couldn't contain my tears and Sam just kept saying that was my necklace. I said I would have to take him to small claims court and he said it would just be a waste of time because he had gone to small claims before and he had won. I am helpless at this point. I left the necklace so now my husband paid for a repair to a necklace I don't have and Sam kept. I would hope that if he is not willing to make this right and give me my necklace back then the only think I can hope is for Karma to take care of it and people see what kind of business he's actually running. I simply don't see the benefit of doing this from him. It makes no sense given he has a business he's been running for so long. Why not just take care of the Jewelery we entrusted him with and return it even after we paid for the service.

Sam is an amazing guy! Honest, fair pricing, VERY high quality work. He's been in the Riviera for over 20 years, and it's easy to see why. Will be back for all my jewelry and watch needs. Don't hesitate to give him a call!

Sam is personable and a genuine guy. Yes, I've only been here once but he's great at what he does and doesn't b******** I brought in a septum nose ring from etsy and turns out the metal was peeling. I grabbed my gold BVLA septum ring from my car. I never liked how it hung on my nose, there was too much of a gap between the inner bottom of the ring and my nose. Sam resized it in less than 5 minutes and the cost was so unbelievably reasonable. I don't wear much jewelry but I will definitely be coming back when my septum ring snaps. Thank you, totally made my day!

So my stone fell out of my engagement ring. Luckily I found it. For 18 years my original ring was without problem. Less than 1 year ago I decided to do a different engagement ring to match the anniversary band given to me by my husband. The jeweler in the downtown diamond district(who shall remain nameless)made the band and the new setting for the engagement ring. I found Sam on Yelp, read the glowing reviews and decided to take my stone and ring to him. He is also just down the street from our house, which is a bonus. He took the time to explain to me why the stone fell out. It wasn't set properly. He didn't do the hard sell to replace the setting and offered to just refit the stone into the original setting. He explained to me why a different prong setting would hold the stone properly and securely and I decided to have him replace it. I really appreciated the time he spent talking with me about possible solutions without the "hard sell". I also had him inspect the anniversary band. Every stone was loose and jiggled around when gently moved with his tweezers. I was pretty mortified. 2 days later the band was fixed, everything secure. The new setting took just under 1 week, with Sam texting me with updates of estimated finish time. It's gorgeous! The price seemed more than fair. This man is busy. Runs the shop solo. I am so thrilled to have found this small business in my neighborhood! He has a customer for life!
