Riviera Village has excellent shops to suit most budgets, a great restaurant scene with plenty of outdoor dining, as well as grocers like Trader Joe's and Vons. Even my doctor is in the Village! Strand accessible.

I really have enjoyed coming here to walk, shop, enjoy the area. But I am providing one star because after my wallet was stolen near Trader Joe's and I searched for some sort of video proof of who took it, it was upsetting to learn there is little to no security around in the area, either physically or digitally. It's hard to believe that people who frequent that area wouldn't have turned it in somewhere, and I was told by a shop proprietor there are no outside cameras to view any untoward activity. I read online (which although may not be the absolute truth was nonetheless disconcerting) about activity there that has become worrying. I already avoid Peninsula Center because theives are allowed to rob some of the stores with impunity. While I'll still frequent the Esplanade I won't shop at Riviera Village knowing there is no security and will avoid the music festival area where I hope it won't be a field day for crooks. Because Redondo needs to remain a beautiful place.

I've been going to the Riviera Village since I was a child. It has managed to keep most of its charm through massive growth. All of the shop owners are friendly and eager to engage. With something for everyone, you can easily spend the entire afternoon there. In addition to several unique shops there is a large variety of restaurants. The beach is a block away if you want to extend your walk and catch the sunset. Great for families, a date, and everything in between.Addendum;Naturally I received a lovely note from a local shop owner! As I stated previously, the shop owners and employees are amazing and that gives the Village that friendly laid back atmosphere.

Various choice of restaurants, pretty much salads, pizza, burgers. Nice outdoor experience, some silly seating rules that need correcting, making your wait much longer!!! I also can do without all the dogs while dining.

Great location in South Redondo Beach! Wonderful restaurants, shops and only blocks from the beach. You can enjoy a whole day here. Don't forget to stop by the Farmer's Market every Sunday starting at 9am!

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the beach. It is hard to park but you won't be disappointed on the food. Try the crunchy tacos al pastor.

What a great area for shopping, farmers market and restaurants. Al fresco eating is this area. I enjoy the shops of jewelry, clothing, and cooking items. There is plenty of parking at meters. Great area to walk or bike riding!
