Bad service and very rude. Lady with glasses and black and highlighted hair gave us really bad attitude as we were just trying to check out. We asked simple questions and she gave us really sarcastic answers. Gave us a stare as she gave us our recipt Very unacceptable service.

My father passed away this year so my mother will be selling her house and moving. We had several items to donate so decided to take them to this location since we have done so SEVERAL times over SEVERAL years. The car in front of us parked near the donation area so we pulled in behind it and parked, too. My mother opened the door to get out and Ben S. began waving his arms over his head and SCREAMING for everyone to park in a spot. We then parked in a spot, got out, and started to get the items from the back of the car. Ben approached me without a word and started to take the bags from me. I then asked, "Do you speak?" because his actions were quite rude up to this point and I don't take kindly to someone approaching me and literally taking things from my hands without so much as a hello. He then proceeded to bark in my face as if he was a dog. I told him he was being rude by screaming at people and not greeting us, and that it's not okay to just take something from someone. He said we were rude and also that we almost crashed into each other. Seriously?!? This guy is a loose cannon and a complete ass. Here we are giving you things for free that you can sell to make a profit and you have this jerk in the parking lot. Not to mention the multiple times we have donated in the past. My elderly mother should not have to walk to the donation area. Every other place allows you to drive up and unload items or at least use a wheeled bin. Needless to say, we will not be donating here again. I really hope Ben gets the help he needs so he doesn't mouth off to the wrong person. Looking at other reviews, this is obviously not the first time he has acted this way. I'm sure there are plenty of civilized people that would be happy to have his job.

This Salvation Army store on Artesia Blvd in Redondo Beach, is NOT the closest one to where I live in Santa Monica- but I go out of my way for 2 main reasons: and drive 45 min each way, Here's why:1) This store is always so neatly and beautifully organized, that it's a sincere joy to find gems from fashion accessories to decorative items that I have purchased for myself and for gift giving, saving me $ and knowing that all of my money spent is going to an amazing worthy cause.2) The cashier- especially Sonya the cashier, is the most helpful, courteous, efficient and this young lady always renders great customer service with a genuine smile. This is reason enough to visit this Salvation Army store on Artesia Blvd.My kudos to the mgr- please accept my genuine thanks for a great job! After all, I am in the travel industry- and customer service is the heartbeat of what I sell.:-)

Worst place to donate items. Been here multiple times with NWT, unopened, and high quality items. Each time we are turned away by unfriendly staff who become picky and tell us to take back pieces they don't want. These are donations for goodness sake! Take your donations one block west on the same street to Goodwill where the staff is kind and helpful. And they appreciate all donations. We won't waste our time at the Salvation Army anymore.

I have been here 3 times once to donate furniture and other pricey items. 2 other times to shop. The manager is really sweet but I have only experienced very rude cashiers here which totally ruins the experience and a crazy guy working in the back receiving donations that makes me never want to come back to this place. There is a goodwill 2 doors West you might as well just donate there.

Donated some Aloha print shirts and old jeans after organizing some drawers. Drop off donation process was very easy and the gentleman accepting the donation was friendly and informative. He will provide receipts if needed. All in all I just didn't want to throw the garments away and thought someone can use them. The Salvation Army is a good organization and can use the support.
