If you put a box in the drop off window without asking for a receipt, it won't get scanned. Whats the point of tracking or having scanners if you don't use them. Post office, supervisors, etc. all say it is what it is. They say the Catalina location has more staff to scan. Like just removing the usps tracking system and call it in Gods hands and save us all the time and frustration. If you sell on eBay or Mercari be aware, if the post office doesn't scan it in time your customers will be mad. If you are OK not having a package scanned until the day it's out for delivery then go for it.

This post office on Artesia is closed until further notice. According the sign, the closure is due to “poor management”. As a resident of North Redondo, I’m sad to see it close. The service here has always been excellent and it’s a big hassle to have to travel to South Redondo or any other location for my postal needs. Please open back up soon.

Opened a PO Box here a few months ago, and they've already lost a package. The employee behind the counter got defensive and told me he couldn't do anything to help me that it "wasn't back there" even though they signed in the package (delivered by UPS, I had the tracking information). I guess the good news is that I found out right away how unreliable their service is, and I didn't have all my mail going there yet. The bad news is that losing my shipments defeats the whole point of renting a PO Box, so I have now switched to a private one across the street.

If there was an option to give the North Redondo Beach post office zero stars for non-service, I would have picked that. Here are just a few highlights of their "service" from the past 12 months: (a) a legal notice I mailed, paying for certified with tracking, has disappeared. I filed a complaint, they sent me periodic emails that they were searching for the letter, then acknowledged it was lost. The kicker: the recipient's address is a mere 5 blocks from the post office. They can't even get deliveries in their own neighborhood right. (b) I am getting letters, including credit card statements, from 2021, delivered in my post box now. I know Covid's the universal excuse--but if this post office is incapable of delivering time-sensitive materials in a timely manner, best to close shop. (c) Rude service. When I took a delivery slip dated June 2021 that was left in my p,o. box to the counter, the clerk glared at me and threw the slip in the trash--as if it was my job to deliver mail and packages on time, and I had somehow failed in my duty.

I'd like to get one star but I guess I can't. I went to this post office today I waited in line just to be able to put a package in a little door you open. I waited my turn I went up to the counter and put it in the door. This rude jackass started yelling at me about having to wait when a customers up there and that there was a place on the other side to put packages. First I didn't know there was anything on the other side second a customer wasn't there I waited my turn. It's bad enough that the post office loses your mail and they don't care about it now to be rude to boot. I will never go to this post office again because that a****** but I can tell you that I wish his job would be gone. Someday it will be and I'll be laughing.

Poor service, long lines, don't let you confirm address being sent to. The biggest fault...NO POSTER 7 ANYWHERE. Poster 7 is REQUIRED. Fail

I am aware of USPS being kind of slow, but what I experienced here last week is waste of time. Yes, after the crazy wait I got things working, but it took forever.

After standing in line for ten minutes a gal came out to tell the guy behind me that he would be the last person because the staff needed to go to lunch. 2 minutes later the postman comes out and closes the door in front of us and says. I'll be back at 2pm and then locks it. Leaving 3 of us standing there. What a dick move. If you knew your lunch was coming up, you should have anticipated your lunch and your line and made adjustments accordingly. But no you came out aggressively and locked the door. There's a right way and a wrong way. You did it the wrong way. Show some compassion for the people already in line. If I would have shown up with the door closed in anticipation of your lunch it would have been much easier.

Refused to take my package in because they said I had to get another box for my shipping label I printed at home. I went to another USPS and they sent it. I have sent other packages like that and my packages are always delivered

I dropped in just after the holidays to ship a few boxes of toys. I was delighted to be helped by DeShaundra who went above and beyond to get me the correct boxes and shipping rates. Great service and great overall experience.

I hate to come on here to complain because I want to support the USPS in these difficult times, but this location has very rude and unprofessional staff. I generally like USPS workers and have built relationships with our carriers, but the front desk here needs some some training on interfacing with customers. I know the USPS has been overwhelmed in recent years, but every time I come to this location I either witness someone else being berated or I myself am berated by abusive and rude staff. I believe that you always catch more bees with honey but the staff here seem miserable and angry. It can be unnerving and frustrating. One man in particular, an older Asian gentleman, is particularly rude and short tempered. They are clearly short staffed and staff will take random lunch breaks at unposted times if there are too few workers available. The post office will then be closed randomly which is inconvenient to the patrons. I hope the post master general or management can see this to help encourage the staff a bit more. I know they're working hard and it's often a thankless job, but creating a stressful, angry environment doesn't serve anyone.
