This pharmacy is never open, and they never pick up their phone so you can't call ahead to find out if they're open. Their actual hours do not match their posted hours and they change without notice. When they are open, the lines are very slow as they are dramatically understaffed. The staff is nice and doing their best but corporate has clearly set them up to fail. There's also no bike parking and they yell at you if you try to bring your bike in :(

Except for the pharmacy, the rest of the employees/clerks are always unfriendly like they hate their jobs. Nobody wants to go to a store where there are salty employees.\\n\\nI used to work in a store so I get that some customers can be difficult so I make it a point to always be pleasant and patient with service workers. However, I don't know what is going on with CVS that it seems like they hire people that act like they don't want to be there. I usually don't like to leaves these types of reviews but today was really frustrating picking up my covid test kits. The pharmacy told me they were up front so I go up front to the register only to be told to go back to the pharmacy. Before I do that, I asked the front register clerk to please call the pharmacy to double check before I walk all the way back again. The clerk acted like I was asking her for too much. Apparently it was more convenient for her to have me walk back there....there was nobody in line so it's not like I was holding up anyone else. As it turns out she called her manager and my covid kits were in the front just like the pharmacy said so. My point, customer service is lacking....this isn't the first time. But this incident today really bugged me because the clerk was wrong and yet didn't even apologize and I was not rude. After she gave me the kits she didn't even say thank for shopping there or anything...turned around and started talking with her manager about something else which I guess was my hint to get lost....

Pharmacy is understaffed but they're very friendly and courteous. Staff switches between Spanish/English as needed. Quite a good selection of items but some are comparatively pricey compared to other stores. Pay attention to the coupons you can avail with your printed out receipt. I find them useful though they expire within a week. So, use the coupons ASAP.

They had one cashier and no check out. I stood in line with a single item, visibly pregnant and exhausted, while the cashier argued with the gentleman in front of me about the price. After 20 minutes of patiently waiting I asked her very politely if I could please buy the allergy medication I needed as I needed to pick up my toddler and she literally rolled her eyes at me, said "you could if we had a second check out" and then went right back to arguing with the man like nobody else in the world existed. Don't come here unless you have literally no other drugstore options in a 5 mile radius.

Service is abysmal. You could call and be on hold all day long. My insurance company was ohold for one hour, then gave up. They complain of being short-staffed.

This CVS Pharmacy, at 1301 Broadway Redwood City, is awful. They filled a prescription for my husband, for a 30-day supply, and charged $75. I wanted to move the prescription to Costco but CVS would not call Costco back. Finally I had to ask the doctor to write another prescription, this time for Costco. What really took the cake was Costco charged $16 for a 90-day supply! Don't go to this CVS. It's badly run and a ripoff.

There is major construction going on around CVS.Since this started, the power has gone out, flooded and seems to keep happening monthly.Currently, other CVS pharmacy's should be used where the staff is not faced with issues having nothing to do with medication.

The first time I used your pharmacy I was very pleased with the services that I received. First I didn’t have to wait in line for 1 hour 30 min to pick up medicine like I did at Walgreen and sometime, if the medicine was call in before time still had to wait. The best park of your store is picking up the prescription and receiving reward point after, so that you can purchase other goods.

I visited Big Al's on Saturday April 30 We planned on bowling with family and friends but to my surprise their bowling shoes were horrible. Asked you several pairs but each of them looked about so before leaving we pointed out concern to management... Too costly for worn out shoes and dirty laces that looked like they had been in the for a very long time. This is not a good way to represent such a vital place families in the community. The coronavirus is real so this became a real health concern for us...

Worst CVS. Hospital sent prescription fill around 4pm. I went there at 730pm and they told me that they haven't filled it and it will be 30 minutes. There was nobody in line or even at the store. The pharmacist and pharmacy tech were just sitting there doing nothing. Hours say they close at 9pm so I was sending my daughter there to pick up prescription but suddenly they close at 8pm now. Worst CVS pharmacy

Very disappointed with this location. Customer service is horrible and they completely lack the desire to help their customers. I had a family emergency and needed to use the restroom to use the pharmaceutical item I just purchased. However, they would not let us use it despite the emergency. What a heartless staff.
