Months after my appointment, he also tracked down some paperwork for me to be nice.

Such an honest and kind mechanic! My car started making a weird noise while I was in the area. I was scared to drive home since I didn’t know what it was. The mechanic at the shop really helped me out and took a look at my car right away even though he was very busy. He said I was having issues with my suspension and would likely need to replace my strut. He made sure it was safe for me to drive home and didn’t even charge me! Would highly recommend this shop!

I always go to Ky for the routine smog check and he is always quick and efficient. After getting several quotes for a thermostat replacement for my cousins Jeep I called Ky and his price was the most reasonable. So even if it was a little further away for my cousin to drive to R. City we took her car to Ky's and he fixed it pronto.Services: Auto engine diagnostic

Every so often you find a shop that suits you well. When you do you tend to stick with it. In the case of Ky's Auto Repair we have stuck with them for well over 2 decades. Ky has been our family mechanic for all that time. While our cars change, the need to repair them seldom does. As such he has been there for us each and every time. Fast accurate repairs and he can fix just about anything from bumper to bumper

My best friend brought her car here originally to get smogged after she had it "repaired" by her house in San Francisco. He found numerous errors in the mechanics work (lazy ones like not hooking hoses up correctly when there is a diagram under the front hood) and gave us information on how to get her money back, which we were able to do. After ky did a full diagnostic (97 Toyota Corolla that's had numerous small problems recently) he recommended going with an option that was half the price of the other option and it worked perfectly and passed smog. The car is running better than it ever has in the 6 months she's owned it. Including the money we were able to get refunded the repair job was only $35 and done right. This guy is awesome and totally recommend him

Honest and excellent mechanic. My car just wouldn't pass smog and he did all he could to fix it and because of him it finally passed smog. Thank you so much for being honest and upfront and saving me alot of money

If I could give him zero I would. We went to Ky's for 35+ years. He USE TO be reliable and competitive. UNFORTUNATELY, that's no longer the case. He acted very dishonest with one of my family members. He charged this person for manufacturer parts but substituted "cheap" after-market parts. They learned about this when they had to take their car to another mechanic. This isn't a 1-off. I recommended him to a few co-workers and he was dishonest with them. He's a liar and thief. If you go there you go at your own risk.
