We would like to Thank Peninsula Truck Repair for accommodating our request for service on one of our Company trucks that we needed done right away. Gabriel, was sure to get our 2009 Chevrolet Silverado into the shop and make all the necessary repairs needed to get our work truck back on the road quickly. We are very pleased with the professionalism and work ethic that the entire team puts forth thru the process from request to completion of the repairs. Above all else what stands out is the honesty and integrity that we experienced which is a rare find in this Industry. We give Peninsula Truck Repair a thumbs up and recommend them for your truck repair needs. Thank you! D.R.S. Stairs and Construction

I brought my 2008 class a RV in to have the front end expected I thought possibly it would need an alignment they estimated me on paper $241. The next day the owner called me and said I would need two front rotors and brake pads on all four wheels he wrote me up an estimate for$7,928.50 then gave me a phone call and said that it was a pretty basic job that I could do it myself I said OK I will pick the RV up he then emailed me a bill for $749 because they took the front wheels off any mechanic would lay under the rig and as soon as they looked at the rotors and saw heat cracks they would stop doing what they were doing call The customer and explain you need a brake job but they didn't they took my front wheels off. I am disgusted with how much I ended up paying and I would highly advise each and everyone that has an RV to never take it to this business. There are a few similar negative Yelp messages I am taking this matter up with the bar.ca.gov I ended up buying all the parts including rear rotors and all the necessary tools total was $1500 I guesstimate the job will take me eight hours

The company I work for takes our trucks here to get service and my truck broke down on the side of the free way . The owner Gabrial went out of his way to help me out which I can say was literally a life saver . It was way past the office hours but yet he still took the time to make sure my truck was towed to his shop and started to repair it ASAP . Mind you I first called the company Penske which we lease the truck from and they did not want to help whatsoever, leaving me stranded on a busy freeway in harms way . I am not exaggerating when I say peninsula truck and it's owner Gabrial literally saved my life .

I brought my truck in for their $435 diagnosis because it's what they do before they start any job, and I was told they may not need the full two hours. I had spoken with Gabriel and I trusted that he would be reasonable with me. When they were done with the diagnosis, my bill came for the full 2 hours and $435 + tax. Gabriel basically told me to replace both the lift pump and the injection pump which I knew already, and with no other details on whether both went bad or just the injection pump. That would have been the kind of information I expected at the very least for such an expensive and lengthy 2 hour diagnosis. When I asked them what they did exactly, they said they ran it for an hour and it never died. So they still had no idea if it was the lift pump or the injection pump. They didn't even bother putting a pressure gauge on the lifter pump, which would have been the first thing to do. So I paid around $480 incl tax for a completely useless diagnosis. I also found out later that they disconnected my fans by yanking it out of the crimped connector. It would have taken 30 seconds out of the 2 hour diagnosis to remove the nut close to where that connector was. I would not recommend this place and do not plan to return.

Pros: Very clean and organized. Upfront cost of diagnostic was $435. Appointment was easy to set up. Con: After dropping off and agreeing to pay the diagnostic fee, we got a email with a PDF with a few engine codes on it. I called Gabriel to discuss possible solutions and he suggested a whole new engine. No solutions to any of the codes, no other diagnostic info for that $435. Just codes on a PDF and a prescription for a whole new engine. I really wish I had read some of the other reviews before taking our company truck there. I pulled the same codes using a $50 Scanner tool from Amazon. His other solution was to pull the motor apart, to diagnose other things that may also be wrong. Not once quoting any remedies or further diagnostics based on the codes/experience with these type of Duramax Diesel engines. The search continues for an honest shop not looking to gouge its clients. Would not recommend to any one.

Gabriel the service writer also the biggest LIAR told me my truck needed a new air brakes compressor a $4000 job when it only needed a $25 air fitting. This shop practices the bait and switch also they tell you one thing and later they change. Bad shop to bring your truck. RUN

I had my truck repaired at PTR a few months ago. I was happy with the work, price and would recommend them to friends and family. My second time there was better than the first. Their honesty is beyond anything I've ever encountered. I've been having my vehicles repaired for more than 50 years. I've never experienced a more honest shop.

I had a fleet vehicle broken into at our hotel. The ignition on the steering colum was destroyed. We were stranded at the hotel with this van and Peninsula Truck Repair came to the rescue. They picked up the van and took it back their shop to replace the lock and ignition. They drove our employee back and forth from their shop to his hotel at no cost. The repair was very reasonable and quick. Thanks to Gabe and his crew, he got my employee on the way home! Thanks guys!

I took my RV here after another shop could not figure out how to get the check engine light to go away. Colin was amazing at diagnosing and zeroing in on the real root cause of the problem. Their hourly rate was a bit more expensive than the other shop, but they spent less time working on it. So, in the end, higher quality and less expensive. They were very flexible and have great customer service. I would definitely return.
