Rite Aid at the Roosevelt plaza is a great place to shop for any item you can think of and getting your prescription medicines. Everyone is very polite and will help with a pleasant attitude. I have been a Rite Aid customer since it was Thriftys in the Woodside Plaza…very pleased this store was built after being several grocery stores.

12/04/23 Terrible terrible terrible store... Prices are higher...Shelves are pretty bare... this is a drug store, no hydrogen peroxide on the shelf. Floor person tells u which aisle but the shelves are empty. The pharmacy says to check with the front desk the lady in the front says she doesn't have any and no point in asking about back stock. Final straw was when my purchase was $13.49...I gave Josephine $13.50. She hands me my receipt. I asked her for my change... she says, "You gave me $13.50." "Yes, I know, it was $13.49" She then pulls a penny from a tray and hands it to me. I don't think I'd return to that awful store.

Pharmacy robot called this morning to remind me to pick up the prescription they had previously notified me was ready. But I had not received any such notification. I wanted to pay in advance so my daughter could pick it up. I called at 9:15 but no answer. I tried again at 11:15 and was put on hold (with very unsoothing music) for 35 minutes. I hung up and tried to phone again - no answer. I plan to go in tomorrow to complain in person. Rd NW indhget the prescription i

I have been going to the Roosevelt Avenue store for years. The pharmacists, especially Paul, and the pharmacy technicians are responsive, intelligent, helpful, and professional. You never have to wait long for prescriptions. Riteaid has an easy-to-use text-based notification system that notifies you when you need a refill or a medication is ready and allows you to prepay. The clerks at the front cashiers at the front registers are especially friendly and nice. This store has a manager who appears to care about the caliber of people hired, as everyone working there seems so much more customer-service oriented than the drug stores at Sequoia Station, e.g., CVS and Safeway

Do yourself a favor and transfer your prescriptions out of this pharmacy. Both Redwood City locations are horrible for pharmacists and I'm a registered nurse. I have never had a pharmacy make it so hard to pick up insulin and the syringes that I need for my diabetic cat. This is the closest Rite Aid to my house. The prescription is normally sent to the San Mateo location for this reason, however this morning I ran out of syringes and needed more for my cats insulin injection. Anytime I try to go to this location or the woodside road location they make it almost impossible to buy addition syringes for my cats diabetic administration, when a prescription is not needed for syringes. They will sell syringes to people with drug addictions but they will not give me more syringes for my cat?! I of course know more than the average person regarding prescriptions due to my career in the health field and I have never met such incompetent pharmacists as I have at both Redwood City Rite Aid locations.

The old Asian guy at the pharmacy did not follow proper protocol. I called for my medication hours in advanced but never received a text back that my prescription was ready. I call back and they said I could come pick it up before the store closes at 9pm I get to the drive through BEFORE 9pm like 8:55pm (there is no line I’m right in front of the window) no one notices me and they closed shop. You can’t just not notice a customer and wait until the store closes to tell them that they’re closed I’m almost positive that’s illegal. I was in front of the drive through window waiting for 8 minutes and no one served me before suddenly noticing me after 9pm and said they’re closed and won’t serve me. I don’t care if someone is rude but I care when someone doesn’t do their job especially when they are involved in healthcare. I am filing a complaint with riteaid corporate. They can pull up security records I have proof. I think his name is Paul zaki

Pharmacy is unreliable. Random, changing opening hours. Told me to come back in 15 and then they went to lunch at lunch. Typically takes 2-3 attempts to get a prescription.Person in front just got out of hospital was in same situation. Still had bandages and bracelet on and had tried to get meds multiple times.Pharmacies print money and are a Public Health Service and should be required to provide a basic standard of care.

The store has your basics, but very minimum and always out of the 2nd item when it's buy one get one free or on discount advertised. The pharmacy is especially bad, not filling prescriptions on time-even when called in by my doctor. If you need to rely on medications for life support (urgent need or need), this is a terrible Rite Aid. Very sad because they used to be very dependable. Must be management and poor pay. Corporate very likely the problem.

This pharmacy has gone downhill. I used to call in a prescription and get a text when it was filled. Now I don't get a text and when I go to pick up, they typically do not have it ready. The other day I witnessed the pharmacist bullying the cashier. It was embarrassing. I won't use them again.

I called in and reached the pharmacist quickly. He patiently and fully answered my questions. I was left with a clear understanding and a plan to treat my symptoms. So good to be able to reach someone when you need to speak to a person and get information.

This Rite Aid location is always out of inventory or ad items. As far as finding help, don't bother. Horrible customer service! This store used to be so nice and convenient and has just gone downhill.

Pharmacist ripped out my order significantly faster than expected. Tech was polite and professional. Although the Lead Pharmacist was busy filling orders, she clearly addressed my issues using a kind an approachable tone. We need more customer centric people who care enough to help others.

A typical Rite Aid, except this one is often out of items. I wanted to get some cough medicine and they didn't have any.
