I think that Kelly and Catherine are the best therapist there because they care and take their time with their patients.

Caring, friendly trainers who know their stuff. Well-structured training plans, and they motivated me in a mellow, helpful way. I expect to play golf a lot longer because of Select PT!

Friendly and thoroughly knowledgeable staff enthused and helpful were both Shane & Katherine. I highly recommend this location. I am super satisfied with the progressive movements and exercises that smoothed out my pain and brought back my full range of motion to my right tennis lovers arm! Thrilled with the outcome on the courts and enjoying yoga planks and Pilates again. Thanks team and the sweet receptionist

Shane Y & Kathryn B were great. I had a very concerning calf tear from playing volleyball. Initially, I needed crutches & an ortho boot. I started PT with them once I was barely able to walk. Through their hands-on treatment, guided exercises (for range of motion, flexibility & strengthening), plus my assigned at-home exercises, I was able to recover very thoroughly. I've returned to volleyball & am able to play without any issues nor real concerns. (I do need to be careful for re-injury.)Shane & Kathryn were very knowledgeable, caring, effective & enjoyable to work with.Shane designed a treatment plan & program that worked well & handled conflicting approaches. He was always willing to go deep into my questions & concerns.Heads up that I didn't have the best customer experience -- getting call backs & scheduling is a bit difficult. But I care mostly about the PT, recovery & patient experience.I hope I never need PT again, but I'll always go to them first.

There were multiple problems with getting renewed orders. There were multiple non-returns of phone calls from both myself and the insurance company, hence denying my care. My doctor's office said they sent in the referral twice. I was informed that only one person in the office could pick up referrals; I spoke to 2 different people in the office who answered the phone explaining that. Both of them assured me that they would leave a message. No return call ever arrived to either myself or my insurance company and I therefor was denied physical therapy for over 3 weeks. I never missed appointments, was always early, and I never complained. I finally called their corporate office to file a complaint about the denied extension of my therapy caused by their staffing.Happily, I wound up going to a different therapy group. The new physical therapist was able to identify the reason for my problem. The Select PT person failed to identify this. I saw minimal change seeing Select P.T. and I have seen improvement from this other PT.

For the first time in my working career, I experienced an injury on the job. I was first assessed by the District Manager Anne who thought I would need at least 12 weeks of therapy. She warned me of "frozen shoulder" from non-use and an aesthetician/hairdresser friend recently told me she had that and it was so painful. I've only purchased one band that I work with for my homework sessions.I then began working with Kathryn Bildhauer whom I greatly appreciate. She's very personable, punctual and clearly explained progressive exercises as well as homework. She also listens when there's an exercise I don't particularly like. She even shared playing her playlist during our last session.(Having a B.S. in Physical Education from the University of Colorado, Boulder, a Personal Training Certificate from DeAnza College, Cupertino, and having been a personal and Apex trainer for 24HourFitness, Morgan Hill, as well as having competed in bodybuilding competitions, I truly appreciate someone knowledgeable to get my shoulder back to where it should be.)Kathryn was on ski patrol, surfs, plays soccer and is an amazing athlete. Knowing body mechanics and progressions to move from restoring shoulder mobility and now the second phase of regaining strength, I feel totally comfortable and trust in her guidance along the path of recovery and restoration.Do expect to do work during the therapy sessions and homework and follow the prescribed exercises, whether by print or an app.Stephanie always calls me on Friday to remind me of my Monday morning appointments and a text during the weekend. They are normally booked out at least 3 weeks in advance, so have patience if you need to get physical therapy.Jacob and Myra have also taken me through exercises and have been extremely helpful.Select Physical Therapy is very, very good and has a variety of different types of exercises using a variety of equipment to keep the sessions interesting yet challenging.I just completed my 6th session and will be reevaluated by Shane, a "local boy" from Hawaii P.T. before I progress to the next 6 sessions.I am looking forward to getting back to my original strength and mobility of my shoulder and getting back to my normal exercises.Having family members with dementia and ALS, being an advocate for them for 5 years before their passing, health is truly the most important thing we can pursue and retain.I highly recommend Select Physical Therapy and suggest that if you have an injury and you're not physically where you think you should or want to be, consider making an appointment with them to fully enjoy your body mechanics- pending your doctor's recommendation and/or self-management.Votre Sante!

I am on a long journey to recover from a complete quad tendon tear. Shane and colleagues at Select Physical Therapy have restored my hope that I will be able to hike, bike and play tennis again. They have explained what's happening with my leg and what each exercise does to get me to my goal. The facility is spacious clean and comfortable and it is easy to park. I highly recommend this facility and team.

I suffered with shoulder pain. My orthopedic doctor highly recommended this place redwood city to visit, although this was not near to me I decided to go for it.My experience starts from the front desk first, so I was looking for few appointments sooner but they don’t have slots available until 2 weeks later. Linda was very kind and she facilitated me some early morning possible slots knowing my situation and My first impression here was the best unlike other centers. And My initial consultation was with Kelly, she is attentive and am impressed with her keen evaluation of neck to find out the root cause of pain. I have been to few other therapists few years ago but with Kelly I got this feeling “I’m healing soon”. Some sessions when required there was gentle massage of affected area followed by evaluation and exercises. For few sessions I met Shane. He is knowledgeable, energetic and helped me with shoulder evaluation and isometric exercise program for shoulder strengthening. On my last session, he listened intently about EDS issues, accessed my needs with utmost patience and found out exact pain points and gave me workout plan accordingly with lot of different exercise trials.Catherine is compassionate and proactive. she listens patiently and helped me in revising exercises in every visit, was guiding, correcting and making sure I got it right. On request she helped me record myself for few exercises as well. I was badly waiting for fewer slots sooner and I conveyed her to update me if anything opens up, She did call me when ever there was a cancellation. Finally I met Jarrod, TMJ Specialist who came all the way from Belmont location to Redwood city to help me evaluate on TMJ, it was so kind of him. As per the rule in Select PT, their rule says one person can take sessions in one location at a time. I really really appreciate Jarrod for taking time to come to this location and many thanks to Kelly for requesting Jarrod on behalf of me, explaining my situation and make this happen. All Respective trainers would email all the home exercises after every visit. Over all dealing with everyone associated here, I can say they are experts professionals, committed, punctual, patient friendly and do not hesitate to push themselves to facilitate if needed and fully focused on effective rehabilitation.I thank every staff members here , I have never seen any team organizing this better.

I suffered the worst hamstring injury I've ever had while running sprints one morning. Typically any injury I encountered healed after a few days of rest but this one wouldn't heal. I tried heat, cold, ibuprofen and lots of rest. But after a few months of non-stop pain, I went to see my doctor. I was surprised that she recommended physical therapy for treatment since the injury wouldn't allow me to run or cycle without pain. I checked around for a clinic that accepted my insurance (Aetna) and where I could get a appointment at a reasonable time. I contacted Select Physical Therapy and they answered all my questions and accepted my insurance. My goal for Select Physical Therapy was strengthen my hamstring so I could run again without pain. I went to a handful of sessions and did the exercises they recommended between sessions. Thanks to Shane and other the staff members for helping strengthen my hamstring that allowed me to start running again.

This is the 2nd time I have used this SelectPT location in Redwood Shores. The first time was for hip joint replacement and the second for broken foot surgeries. I have been extremely happy with their professional, experinced and caring therapists. I like the location too because I drive right up to the storefront and walk in- no parking, stairs or distance walking issues.
