We had the most incredible experience at Torres Custom Upholstery in Redwood City. It's a hole in the wall so don't judge a book by its cover. We took them the foam we wanted (Michaels) and the fabric and they made professional quality cushions with zippers and piping. We could not have been more impressed.

Very professional and fast servicing. Great father and son establishment to support who's in business for a couple of decades. Chair leather, cushion and stitching was excellent in workmanship. Price was a bit steep $375 a leather chair cushion but considering efficiency, quality smooth leather and shape conversion request, it's pretty darn good.

Torres Custom Upholstery is amazing! Our dog decided to eat half our couch and JT was able to make it look brand new. This was a very large oversized couch and he came and took it and delivered it back in tip top shape, all within the promised 3 week timeframe. Very responsive on email, too. Highly recommend!

Reupholstering is an investment (or at least it was for us) and we were so glad we went with Torres. They were super friendly and responsive, particularly on email. The chair looks fantastic. All told we were so glad to have worked with them!!

I can't tell you how I have enjoyed working with Mr. Torres, his son and the rest of the crew. The work is impeccable, reasonably priced, and always on time. I have also asked Torres Custom Upholstery to do some very specialized and custom work. Spot on is all I can say. You won't find anyone better to restore, update or fix you furniture. The best!

We had a couch repaired that had broken springs and Jose picked up the couch, discovered that the back was also broken, and fixed everything for the original (very reasonable) estimate. Then he delivered the couch within an hour of calling to check on it - good as new. These guys are great.

Went to Torres Upholstery 1 week before Christmas with 4 chairs which needed to be re- upholstered by Christmas eve. Jose was very accommodating, gave us a decent price and promised to finish the product by Christmas Eve morning. He was right on target. They also did an excellent upholstery job. We will definitely go back if we have other upholstery needs.

All I can say is "AMAZING!" I had a "stain" on my couch's arm & the furniture """insurance""" was freaking USELESS! I'd been waiting since MAY for a resolution. Today, Jose & his son Marcos came to take a look. He'd wanted to leave with the item & fix it in his shop, but I put up a barricade & forced them to stay! Lol. Actually, they were SO incredible, they stayed & finished the job there!!! It took longer than expected, but if I can wait 7 months for this to get fixed, I can wait 5 hours for a repair!! What's awesome, is that as a fabric specialist, he determined it wasn't a stain, but faulty fabric! Now I don't have to look suspiciously at my friends at my Easter party! ;) I'm SOOOOO happy with the work, I'm so happy with how kind they were (refusing water when they were sweating like a whore in church), that I just gave them some. I only wish I had more than just water to offer!! And I'm SOOOOOOOO happy that it doesn't look like I have a cockroach sitting on the arm of my couch!!!!! In all seriousness, if you've read my other reviews, I ALWAYS tell it like it is. And THIS review is no different! They deserve more than 5 stars! MUCHOS GRACIAS Jose & Marcos!! You guys are TOTAL rock stars!!!!!

I didn't go very far but called them a couple of times, leaving voice mails on the answering machine. The first time I called was a Sunday to have someone call me back. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to call back during regular business hours. Again received a recording, left another message. That was about 4 weeks ago; no one ever called me back.

I have used their services twice, and both times I have had superior service. I love mid century early American furniture, which I've found at Goodwill, I can not afford brand new quality furniture. But, with reupholstering by Torres Custom, I now have it on a working man's budget. My first job was 2 rocker/swivel easy chairs. They were done perfectly, on time, and for a very reasonable price. The 2nd job was 2 wingback settees and a wingback chair. Again, done perfectly wtih a plaid pattern aligned correctly. These were also very reasonably priced, and came in faster than promised. They are a small business, and give that personalzed service missing in larger businesses. Friendly, fast, reasonable, and quality work. I highly recommend them for your reupholstering needs. If you have a piece you love, but showing it's age, or find a bargain priced but quality piece in need of refreshing, call Torres Custom Upholstery. I paid by check, but I believe they take credit cards too. You pay half up front, and half when the job is done. They can pick up/deliver, or you can bring it in & pick it up yourself-which I did. Some places make you choose from their fabric selection. Torres directs you to choose your own from any fabric store, and tells you how much to get. I liked that feature. I waited for my chosen fabric to go on sale for 50% off and saved even more! Seriously, if you have a piece you need done but feel it would be unaffordable, please call these guys. They won't disappoint you.

I was looking for someone to do my car interior on a new BMW i bought and I found Torres Custom Upholstery. They had a lot of materials to show me and worked with me for an affortable price. They had my car interior done within three days. I have gotten so many good comments on my car. Since I loved theit service so much I returned to them to get my couches re-upholstered and also talked to my bosses about upholstering the chairs.

I had a chair upholstered and they did an amazing job in bringing it back to life. I was recommended a great fabric store and the turnaround was good. I love my chair.
