My daughter has very curly hair and has been wanting a Deva Cut for a couple of years. She went online and did some research and found Raquel Noriko. She was awesome. Deva Cuts are expensive, but her prices were comparable to other places we had called (and quite a bit cheaper than a couple}. We had a consultation before the appointment (free) so she could talk to us about what to expect, what my daughter wanted from the haircut, and the cost. There was no pressure at all to keep the appointment if we decided it was too expensive. We decided to go ahead with it and were thrilled with the results. My daughter got the best cut she has ever had, and Raquel was very friendly and personable. We loved her! If you're considering trying a Deva Cut, or looking for someone new, I highly recommend Raquel.

The following review is for RAQUEL NORIKO CURL STUDIO SUITE 206 Raquel is probably one of the most genuinely GOOD people I've met... to top that off, she's incredibly talented with CURLS! I am also so ecstatic that she's back! I originally found her at another salon before she moved out of state. That 1st cut set the tone for ALL CUTS for me going forward. It was my first DEVA CUT. It changed the game forever for me. Raquel took the time to ask me pertinent questions regarding my hair - the routine; products I currently use; how often I washed it; how often I used heat; my expectations; etc. I dug it, because it showed me that she was thorough. I think in order for one to be happy with the outcome of a service, the service provider must make a thorough assessment - that's exactly what she did... and continues to do as she did the same with me again when I saw her at the new location at Phenix Suites in Tarzana. BUT even before that, an email/text went out regarding reminding me how my hair should be when I arrive for the appointment. I appreciated this as I like to be as prepared as possible at the start of the appointment. Raquel is well prepared as well with a plan, but also respectful of the things I required. Let me also say that she knows how to manage client expectations -- in a word, she's the TRUTH... she's honest and realistic. Just like the 1st time, this session at Phenix Suites, was fantastic! The outcome of the cut, color, and style was spectacular! I was extremely satisfied! Worth every penny! The thing Raquel also does - which I deem invaluable - is she educates her clients on curly hair care! Sure, you can pay to get your hair done - it will be beautiful and perfect when you step out of her studio, but she teaches you on how to achieve that look! If you have curly hair, you know the struggles! Raquel really is a subject matter expert on us curlfriends! Go make an appointment! It will sorta change your curl life!

I got my first Devacut today by Raquel and I'm absolutely in love with my hair. She took the time to explain how to use products and suggested different strategies to not part my hair so many ways while styling. Raquel is very personable and outgoing which made the appointment even more amazing!

If I was able to give Raquel in suite 204 a million stars I would. To be short and sweet she literally CHANGED MY LIFE with her hands. I first met her in 2015 and she has been the only one to touch my hair since. She gave me confidence and an appreciation I never knew I had for my hair. She gave me such a boost of confidence when I first saw her, during my consult and day of deva cut and style! During my consult she looked at my hair asked what I wanted and TALKED TO ME, actually explained what she would be doing to my hair, before she even touched a pair of shears (AMAZING). During my Devacut she was sure to thoroughly explain what she was doing and how she was doing it the whole entire time! I am 28 years old and have NEVER had such an amazing experience. The only person I trust with my hair besides my mother! I refer all my friends and family and they all feel the same way, I wouldn't refer them to anyone else. RAQUEL NORIKO 204, GO SEE HER!!

The place itself was very nice. The ladies are professional, caring and very good at what they do. Also the prices are reasonable. I will be going back again and again.

I had have been with Hair Artist for long time. There service is absolutely great and skill is wonderful. She made me gorcious every time, I was there. Artist personality is very good and easy to get a long. I love Hair Studio B.A.R. very much.
