I’ve been a fan of Annies Annuals for a long time, 1987. I’m a seasonal planter, and have all my favorites and then some!!! I drive from Roseville, there plants are always healthy. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. I even see there plants at other nurseries when I travel, Carmel, Cambria, Walnut Creek etc. good job Annie’s my favorite grower of cottage plants.

A nice, well organized nursery. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I love the raptors and cow on site. There used to be a cool statue of David as well.

This nursery is my absolute favorite. The place is huge and they have gorgeous plants landscaped throughout the nursery. The plants are always very healthy and there is a large selection of plants that you don't see at your average nursery or big box store. I spend 1-2 hours here. All of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Their website is easy to navigate and when I needed a few plants shipped, they all arrived healthy.

Just received my first order with Annie's annuals. They were shipped out on the date promised and after traveling from CA to NC they arrived on time. The plants all look extremely healthy and the packaging is first rate. I do a lot of online plant ordering, and the pots and plants are bigger than I expected compared with other online plants companies.Shipping isn't cheap from this company but a local gardener friend and I went in together and split the shipping costs which works out great.Haven't removed anything from its pot yet but will update once I do.Both my friend and I will definitely be ordering again.Very happy gardener here!EDIT:Transplanted 3 of the 5 plants I received this afternoon. See photos; very happy with the root system on all 3. The ceanothus Skylark has less than the iris and hellebore, but just about right to plant in a gallon container to stay in my greenhouse while it's still chilly here.Still a very happy gardener here ?Highly recommend.

Native plants. Edibles. Drought tolerant perennials.

This is so far the best experience I had ordering plants online. And that's saying something as I am quite the plant addict and usually have something shipped at least once every two weeks from various different places. The attention to detail is stunning. It starts with the box. Clearly indicates that there are plants in it and also what side is up. When opening the box, there's a carton construction that holds plants in place and gently FOLDS open so plants can be taken out. Amazing. I ordered 4" plants before but these come in XL size 4" pots and size exceeds my expectations. The plants are kept moist during shipment by neatly folded loose paper held in place by elastics (note that all other companies use hard carton with a hole or a form of tape, each risking damaging the plant). Simply wonderful. The planting medium looks like a healthy home-made mix. Plants, unsurprisingly, look as healthy and full as you can expect from a 4" pot.I may sound silly to get excited about packaging but they've really set the bar here! It shows a level of detail and care for the plants that is admirable. Will definitely be ordering more from them in the future. No, not paid or asked to write this review. Rarely do them.

We called and checked their website and both say that it’s open daily, so we drove from Sacramento to the store in Richmond and realized it’s CLOSED due to their annual vacation. If they had updated their website and/or phone messages, their potential customers don’t need to drive a couple of hours and waste time to try to visit the store then. Apparently their customer services is not up to standards!

Love this local nursery - a great source for high quality plants, from natives, herbs to old fashioned heirloom rose shrubs and bare root trees. Thank you for the amazing quality and plants to inspire my beginner gardener explorations and finding some early success in planting your healthy plants.

Super nice large facility, small show garden. Lots of different plants. Super sorted. I haven't seen a plant that isn't doing well. And the cats seem to be doing well too.My favorite flower shop.

It's hard to find a huge nursery in the Bay Area. Most places are small indoor stores. This place is outdoors and super huge! The aisles were endless. When you walk in you don't really know who the employees are if you needed at ask questions but they did have stands with pages of certain plants you maybe looking for and what aisle they are in Walked out with 2 plants. Definitely a hidden gem hidden in the hood

I’m a regular long term customer, and I have a career in horticulture work. What makes this a truly great business is that they offer many unusual plants and present them in a creative, friendly environment. Though other nurseries have 4” sized pots, what they have in terms of selection is unique. The small sized pots allow them to carry more inventory and the customer doesn’t need to pay for the tending of the plants for years in order to grow them up.Do be aware that this puts the onus on the customer to nurture their plants from a more delicate baby plant status. That usually means careful watering. Developing a good sense of irrigation is the best method. That means watering that is not based on set times of watering per week, but instead thinking and feeling about the specific conditions that the plant is experiencing. Like a sense of cooking food doneness versus blindly following a recipe.Good luck gardeners!

I have ordered from Annie's several times. My last order has been very unsatisfactory. I placed my order and my Credit Card was charged but I never received an order confirmation with any details. The order did arrive and one plant was dead the day after I planted it. I sent an email and received no reply. I called and they were unable to assist as I had no order number. I spend too much money ($1,000/year) on plants to be bothered with service this unacceptable. I am happy to spend my money elsewhere in the future.

Annie's Annuals is a beautiful and relaxing place to pick up plants. The plants we purchased were healthy and green, the beds are all numbered, and about midway in there is a directory so it's easy to find specific plants. The only drawback is that you'll need to know the scientific name of the plant! The cashier was friendly and offered a complimentary box for my purchase, which was much appreciated.
