Wow, what a store. Jam-packed with all kinds of interesting antiques, art, crafts, trinkets, furniture... you name it. Would definitely spend too much money here if I lived in the area.

Guillermina's is my absolute favourite shop in town and I visit often to see what new treasures she brings out. Antiques and goods were acquired over several years from her many travels abroad to Japan, South East Asia, and beyond. My mother and Emy were compadres. Mom loved her store and would often buy things for me. One year for Christmas, she gave me a Thai spirit house which I cherish. Since then I have made a few purchases of my own, and have been very happy with what I have. Emy knows the history of everything in her store and can tell you stories of the pieces in her shop. We purchased a getobako (a Japanese shoe locker) that was rescued from an old bath house that was being torn down. She had two in her shop - one in black numbers, one in red. Both were numbered from 1-49. The red numbered locker was from the women's side. You place your belongings in an empty locker and take the key with you. Now, I don't have 49 pairs of shoes to fill the cubbies with, but I do have all kinds of things I can hide inside each one. I can easily get lost in the small shop browsing all the ethnic jewelry, tea sets, kimonos, artwork, Asian sculptures, and that's not even the half of it. The shop is an absolute delight and I wholeheartedly recommend this shop if you are the market for something.
