Customer service is seriously lacking, which is disappointing because my kids really wanted to use the fun looking equipment. No one answers the phone and messages/ emails are not returned. We were told the incorrect time for open gym through text and again by a staff member in person. Due to time constraints we then ended up purchasing kid "classes" instead of open gym, which was a waste of money. It was a lot of standing around and waiting. After paying $90, my three boys started the 1 hour class 10 minutes late because of the miscommunication/registration and they asked to have the 10 minutes back at the end of class for open gym. Instead of saying yes, the staff members were snarky with my boys and said no. The three of them left in tears. We will not be returning.

Tried to go there multiple times and never is open when they say. Also tried calling and texting and no answer or any information. Not a very professional schedule on their website. Quite disappointed multiple times.

I can't say enough positive things about Traverse and the people who work there. My 11 year old daughter has been going for almost a year and a half and loves it. I highly recommend this gym for any parent with an active girl. This is a gym where girls can thrive alongside boys as equals.I agree with several other reviewers that the gym is clean, well run, has professional equipment which is expertly maintained. And that the owners are themselves Ninjas and can be found in TV episodes adds plenty of cred. But what is really the very best thing about Traverse is the way Alex creates good culture and the way he manages the Team. When you move beyond classes and join the Team, it's like a whole world opens up. There is space for achievement and the 4 principles are a magnificent practice for kids: Positivity, Persistence, Professionalism and Passion. Clearly the coaches have put a lot of deep thought into those principles and I've seen many Zen master style teaching moments happen (without being cheesy or overbearing). Alex even mediates when the kids get into conflict with each other and brings them into a state of mutual respect. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

My kids were 8 and 11 when they started coming to Traverse summer camp in 2020. At 11 and 14 now, they are still asking to come back each summer for multiple sessions. If your kids likes doing the monkey bars at school or has a lot of energy to burn, they will love Traverse! The coaches keep the kids active a lot of the day, so I don't mind that they watch some American Ninja Warriors videos during the break times to inspire the kids. The warehouse is huge with 50' ceilings and they open up the doors for air circulation, so we felt pretty good about COVID safety AND keeping the kids inside where it was cooler and outside of the sun. My kids love it so much, they joined the team and are competing at tournaments! It's definitely a confidence builder. I'm really happy the coaches emphasize positive mindset and the Four Ps - Positivity, Professionalism, Persistence and Passion.

Took my younger brother for his birthday. The neighborhood was a little sketchy but the gym itself was fairly well kept and they had really cool equipment. The workers were all very nice and walked us through a couple of the obstacles. I definitely would come again if it weren't so far from my house!

I'm writing a review to help other parents come to terms with the risk inherent in many camps, especially gymnastics and parkour camps. Our child attended a week of Summer camp at Traverse. On the last day of camp they fell while jumping from a trampoline and trying to grab a hanging ring. They put their arm behind them to break their fall and their humerus (upper arm bone) broke into two pieces just above their elbow. The broken bones rubbed against their nerves, they required emergency surgery, and they were unable to move their left hand or feel their left fingers in the days after surgery. Our child has now regained most of their mobility in their left hand, but some sensation seems permanently lost. The medical bills (before insurance) exceed $70,000. The coaches at Traverse have been very kind, willing to talk with us about what happened, supportive of our family, and open to suggestions. We learned that while proper falling technique was discussed during camp, it wasn't practiced. Going forward the coaches will have kids practice falling safely every day. Before sending our kids to this camp we didn't ask what training the coaches had, we didn't ask what safety training the kids would receive, and we didn't ask about whether any kids had been seriously injured at this camp before (our child was the first). I think as parents we may not always internalize the risks of a camp like this, and we may not always dig into the safety practices and training of the camp. I want to share our experience as a way to encourage other parents to make sure they understand the reality of the risks not just of this camp, but of many fun and active camps for kids.

We really didn’t know how our seven year old would respond to the one week, full day camp as none of his friends would be in attendance.Coach Alex and his team put us at ease. They packaged the "Ninja training skills" in a way that kept our son engaged. Created fun, measurable goals that Chris was able to strive and attain by the end of the week.Their Covid Protocols were impeccable with a transparent sense of accountability. The gym is super clean (my son joked that their bathrooms were better than the ones at home)Was satisfied with the communication pace of the staff. Would definitely return. Any camp structure that figures out how to creatively engage with and tire out a 7 year old, without losing his interest is worth talking about. Plus his self discipline and confidence were very positively impacted. This was a winning choice for the summer!
