Friendly Staff, Roger the owner is a hoot. Good selection of name brand appliances. Been around forever!

This review is based on the lady who answered the phone and her excellent customer service! Although I did not do any transactions with Loewen's I did call to see if they fixed appliances. The lady gave me two referrals for local places that did. I can't tell you how great that is considering there are not a lot of options in Ridgecrest. Thank you for going the extra mile.

Do not shop here! The customer service is right out of a used car lot. Its scary how they treat customers. Once you give them your money the customer service is over.

I had a flat screen TV installed through Loewen's even though it was shipped to me by my son. The stacked washer and dryer and refrigerator I bought there were both installed professionally and efficiently by Loewen's staff. They are a great local business and an asset to Ridgecrest.

I am revising this review and adding another star following a more recent purchase I made from Loewens. The store is still disorganized with stock scattered around in boxes and the owner is still pretty much his laconic self, but they have some new staff and they were really friendly this past go-around, gave me NO TROUBLE and no guilt matching a price on a Blu-ray player I picked up. So I am elevating them to 3 stars with the hope they will continue to improve over the old "car salesman" schtick they used on me back in the day. I still have no confidence that they can fix anything I buy there in the realm of electronics, but really, we are in an age where you almost never fix electronics anymore anyway. I have no idea how well they would support me if something I bought there broke. I know they just jacked my friend around when her tv busted, but that was 15 years ago and time marches on. Anyway, I would recommend that anyone intending to buy an expensive tv or piece of electronic gear from one of the big box stores (Best Buy, e.g.) take a look at Loewen's first. Best Buy is often charging full price anymore and you might end up with a better deal locally. I do think we all ought to try to shop locally when we can, so long as we are treated well and not looked down upon or abused by snotty businesses. My advice with Loewen's is go in and take a look. If they treat you well, great. If they treat you like crap, leave a one-star review on here so the rest of the world knows about it, too.

This is not the store to shop at - especially if you're a woman! You will be treated as if you know nothing! I bought a washing machine. The purchase was easy and the salesman was great. Two guys delivered the machine and hooked it up and left. They should have checked it! The next day I tried doing a load of laundry and the thing wouldn't work. I called the store and spoke to the owner. He asked me questions such as "is your water on?" and "is it hooked up properly?". He finally said he would send someone out to fix it. A couple days later someone showed up and checked it out. His response to me was "Yep, it's broken." When I asked him if he was going to get it fixed today he told me he wasn't a repair man, he was just someone that worked at the store that the owner sent over to make sure I was doing everything right when trying to use the machine! It took a couple weeks but the owner finally replaced my washer with a new one from the store.
