One of my cats suddenly fell ill over the weekend. I called Crestwood Monday morning and was able to get him seen. Unfortunately, we ended up having to put him down. We were absolutely devastated. Dr. Horn and the entire staff were so caring and helped make the whole horrible ordeal...as easy (hate to say) as possible for such a painful process. Then today, they absolutely wrecked us - by sending us a condolence card and a paw print from our cat. I am so grateful for the care, compassion, and dedication Dr. Horn and her staff showed us. Thank you all SO much.

I had to put my dog down. She was 16yrs old. The whole staff was kind. We had her cremated. The box was nice they even made a cast of her paw print. I'm not a regular customer but they treated me like one. Thanks! so much for making things easier.

Went in Oct 2023 because my cat was jaundice (turning yellow). I was crying and told the receptionist. She says " We aren't taking new patients. We don't do emergencies. And our vets are booked til Nov." It's not like my cat had a thorn in it's paw. It was having LIVER/GB ISSUES!!!!! Since Canyon is Closed Now, We drove to Lancaster to an emergency vet who took us right in, went over any and all price points. Happy to report cat is home with meds and resting. I hope someone comes in soon to fill the void of a good vet, who actually cares about you and your fur baby, but retired.FYI They also don't take exotics. Tried to bring pet rat in and was turned away.I understand there is a vet shortage, but it's hard when your facility is the only one in this tiny town (+80miles), and you don't take new clients.

My wonderful dog was suddenly dying, gums white, lateral, the whole shebang. I called around 3pm in tears when it happened, was told that they don't take emergencies. This is extremely unfortunate especially since the nearest vet that will take in emergencies is 2+ hours away. This review is not to say that this is necessarily a bad animal hospital because I've never been but for them to take down "emergency services" as a service that is listed, or to better yet ask them to start accommodating emergencies? Also I think it's ridiculous that the only 2 vets in town have the same operating hours, maybe the 2 places should merge and then maybe it'd be possible to get some emergency service in this town.

Kept calling to get my dog in and just kept being told they have no more openings for anymore dogs or cats. For a vet to be the only one for 100 miles is kinda inconvenient for people that live in or 8 miles out of where the animal hospital is. Unfortunately they just won't let anymore pets in!! That's the reason I have given it a poor review. The other one is closing down

I've been taking my pets to VCA since 1990 to present. My chihuahuas PIA & Sophia were frequent patients. Their caring for my furbabies has always been the very best. I completely trust that they have the best interests of my sweet wonderful precious

Inflexible for rescheduling. If you try to reschedule, you will have to wait another month or two. Also, they just increased the insurance cost for my two dogs to $50/dog without giving me any notifications and withdrew the money from my account automatically. Terrible customer service, no sympathy for the customer's frustrations.

Will not accept walk-ins or emergencies even if the animals life is in danger. I had to drive three hours out of town to find a vet that would treat my pet.

Second time I've been sent away due to lack of availability. Their phone goes to automatic message that tells you to text a different number. I texted that number with zero response.

Texted regarding an emergency to the line provided on the site, zero response. If you have a pet in pain that needs to be put down, they will refuse you, charge hundreds of dollars, or just not get back to you at all. For the only vet in a 100 mile radius, you'd think it would be better. Upsetting lack of professionalism.

We have been bringing our pets here for over 20 years, and we have gone through some very painful points in our lives when we have had to say our fairwells to our beloved animals. We have always been able to get whatever service we needed with our animals. We remember when there was a huge LIVE HAWK on a perch up high above the front desk on the railing.I thought that was super cool.I will say that vet service is not cheap,so be prepared to bring your debit card,as I have never left there without paying at least $100. I guess that is just the way it is.That being said, I am a satisfied with the service at Crestwood and would continue to use them.

Got my dog spayed here as well as a follow up appointment for some shots. The folks were friendly, but I didn't feel like I got enough time with anyone to chat about what we were doing and what needed to be done in the future. They were very busy so I felt rushed after waiting for almost an hour for <5 minutes of vet time.EDIT: I guess nothing has changed in five years and they are still understaffed. I was told that they couldn't help with my sick dog for at least 6 weeks... thanks.

How can this place be considered a humane society when they won't even treat a sweet pup named Bud who got hit by a car . My family has brought our pets there for years to the tune of thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars all of our pets have died off because of age and now I have a pet of my own however he didn't have a vet and there's no where I can take him in this whole town I have no way to get out of town and so I have to wonder if my pet's going to be okay. I just want to have him ex rayed and I have money to pay for it.

Best care ever!! We brought our near death puppy in, and she was rushed into care. Without the skilled team at VCA Crestwood, she would not be with us today. They saved her life. Thank you Dr Decker , Gloria and the rest of the staff. Our Dodger is alive , and behaving just like a puppy should. By the grace of God, and VCA , we are enjoying our sweet little Yorkie!
