About Cherry Island Soccer Complex
Cherry Island Soccer Complex is a large complex with ten natural grass fields that are good, though they can be bumpy in some areas. It has many trees around every field, providing plenty of shade for teams and parents on the sidelines. The location offers lovely sights and sounds of local wildlife. Parking can be an issue, especially on tournament days when it is overwhelming, and the fee is considered expensive. The complex endures damage from weather, but staff work to enhance the fields. It is a great size for any event or tournament, hosting soccer and rugby. While there are concerns about fence repair, pedestrian access, and limited accessibility for wheelchairs and senior folks, it remains a popular place. The crew and referees are great at keeping the pace of play. Visitors recommend bringing food and supplies. Overall, it is a good place where teams have great tournaments and bond.
Been coming here for almost 40 years now. As a player, coach and now as a parent. Great complex for any tournament. The amount of vendors are a great availability also. Here is your warning to NOT use ANY port-a-potty. My eyes crossed several times. I didn't get to partake in the food trucks but most of the vendors looked spot on with a good set up. What do I know. Cheers. Jeff
