management unprofessional, angrily written signs have been posted and left up for years by management. I don't appreciate being questioned by management about who i am when i have a membership during my workout

Used to go to this gym a couple of years ago when i worked in Ripon.. Surprised it's still open.. The last experience i had with the owner Mike was not so positive. If you can go to the In Shape on 120 a few miles away, it's worth the 5 minute drive. The owner kind of ruins it

I would just like to receive my change please. that is money that is owed me. I actually texted Jay on January 21 requesting my change. he told me to contact you so I did, then you told me to contact him so we just played back-and-forth. My daughter is not a liar. I told her that everything is on video and to make sure that she didn't take it and just to let me know if she did, and she said she never saw anything with her name on it.so either it wasn't put out or somebody else took it. Its not even about the amount. I don't care about $16 I don't even care if it's $1. It's money that is owed to me.if you say that you put the money out on the window and it was gone the next day, My daughter didn't even go to the gym until a week after we signed up.

Horrible customer service.Jay, the employee there does not answer or return phone calls or texts and is very rude on the phone. I waited a week just to be told that they are not accepting anymore gym members because their gym is full?! I do not recommend this gym at all.

If I could give the owner/manager 0 stars, I would. I can't speak for the e gym itself, as I never had the opportunity to sign up for it and definitely will NOT. i messaged the owner that I was new to Ripon and wanted to sign up, in which he replied and told me to message his manager, Jay. Great, no problem! I message Jay at 11 am and don't get a response till about 7 pm. People get busy, I understand, so I didn't think anything of it. I then told him that I looked at the site and was interested in signing up. No reply until a phone call the next day. I went to answer my phone after getting back from a walk with my 5 month old, and my phone died. I immediately plugged my phone back in so I could get into contact as I was eager to sign up. He answers the phone with the most inconvenient tone and says "hello" sarcastically. I was still polite and let him the know the circumstance as to why I wasn't able to answer the call. He replied with thee most condescending answer, where both my boyfriend and I's jaw dropped. His answer as to my phone dying was "well that's not an excuse". I hung up immediately. I was BEYOND baffled that a business manager had such aggression towards a prospective customer. I read all the reviews and saw photos of texts/emails, however I still wanted to give this place a shot. Absolutely not. I will gladly drive to Manteca or Modesto, than to support such a demeaning and impolite business.

Mike S (The Owner) is incredibly rude and immature. It's embarrassing to see his kind of tactics and business practices in our community... unfortunately, he offers the only 24/7 gym in town, so some clients are willing to settle for his poor service. My wife and I called it quits after less than a month of membership though, and found a much better accommodation 12 min away in Manteca thankfully. Unfortunately, he's playing hard ball regarding the refund, despite confirming in writing that he was going to issue a full refund for unused months. good riddance. I usually don't write reviews like this FYI, but his poor business conduct demands some attention to ensure others are made aware before signing up. It's a small community, I'm shocked he has gotten away with this kind of service for this long, feel free to check out the email thread (the only form of communication I've ever had with him): Cheers, Joshua

I contacted the owner via text message and he directed me to text his manager of the gym. I texted the manager and he proceeded to call me. I am a school teacher and cannot answer the phone during school hours but told him I could text message. He tried to call me again, and again I told him that I could only talk via text message. He then calls me at 4 o'clock and proceeds to text me how he has tried calling, it's after school and I'm still not answering. I'm sorry, Anyone knows that school teachers don't leave school just because it was time for the kids to go home. It was extremely rude how he text me that especially how I tried to talk via text MULTIPLE times. I then sent him a message letting him know it was unprofessional how he was speaking to me and rude. He did not respond. I reached out to the owner to let him know of the situation, no response. I reached out multiple times after to try and meet at the gym to sign up for a membership, either got no response or just "no". Finally, the manager texts me and says that he is not going to be able to help me at this time. I ask why and he says it's a decision by himself and the owner. I was trying to support a small business and try and better myself by starting a new journey. Was only greeted with rude/sarcastic responses or was ignored by the owner and manager. It seems that this isn't the first time that this owner/manager has had difficulties in how they speak with either existing customers or potential customers. ***AFTER WRITING THIS REVIEW I RECEIVED A TEXT MESSAGE FROM MANAGER STATING THAT THIS BUSINESS THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE, FOR ANY REASON....this is true, but when you refuse service because you got called out on your poor professionalism that's the problem I have. And then to lie about what actually happened is the other problem. Will post text***** REPLY TO HIS MESSAGE: I never responded to the numerous times he texted? I will post my entire thread. Each time he called, I texted within 5 minutes trying to set up a time to which he did not respond to. Wanna say I'm lying? Here's the entire thread. Secondly, nobody is butt hurt. But when you try and support small business and are met with rude interactions, it's upsetting. Ripon is a small town and is built on relationships. You and your partner gave me ZERO opportunity. I will also post the text thread with you to show that you didn't respond after I reached out about the incident. I'm a special education teacher and have compassion for everyone. But when you want to sit here and act like you did everything to make this work and that I was unresponsive? That's not okay.

Decent gym. Overall has most workout equipment you're looking for, but hardly any free weights. Cardio equipment (treadmills, bikes, etc) are constantly malfunctioning for me. Can get very muggy and humid inside (sometimes above 70°). Owners/managers are rarely at the gym. Overall not bad, but there are plenty of better gyms for equal or better deals.

Just joined today. Jay was able to meet me at the gym during my lunch break and get me all signed up. I was looking for a privately owned gym without the "corporate feel" (especially during these times) and Ripon Fitness is exactly what I was looking for. The few members I did come in contact with were polite and inviting.

Never visited this gym. I am exited everything is opening hopefully i can become a member.For everyone Ripon is a beautiful city.Very safe with wonderful people. I dont believe any of this bad reviews. You have to live in Ripon to judge our bussines owners. Any bussines I been in my city all the owners love our town. Owners here do everything in there power so we have what we need in our own town.
