My transmission burned up driving up a mountain. Three other mechanics wouldn’t touch my transmission.
I believe that transmission building and repair is the brain surgery of the automotive world. This might sound hard to believe but I had my van towed 100 miles just so Ralph’s could handle the repair.
Ralph’s backs their transmission with a 3-year warranty, which made me feel a lot better. I asked them a lot of questions. A LOT! This was .a huge investment for me, and I only want to do it ONCE. Since I depend on my vehicle for my business, I needed a compete and lasting solution. If I was to spend the money to repair it, I needed it done right and I needed a SUPER-DUTY transmission.
Mario and the entire staff explained in detail what I needed to properly repair my transmission. They were even able to diagnose the cause of the failure.
They completely rebuilt my transmission instead of slapping Band-Aid on the problem. They communicated with me about the type of parts going into my transmission and they guided me into making decisions about using heavy-duty parts.

I didn't have money and I was originally afraid that my transmission was bad and they told me my transmission runs strong and good and test drove with me. One mechanic from a shop close to them that I went maybe 3 days ago said I had a leaking transmission but I found out at A & G that I didn't. A & G are honest and they saved me around $500 that another place was trying to get. In the future when I have money and need transmission work, this is the shop I want to go to, because I trust them and they're nice people”
“WOW! Where to start! I am and still am blown away by the help, level of customer service and friendliness' that this shop has. I was referred to Kevin and his shop by Chris @ Ca Auto. I will admit I was a bit nervous and I didn't want to have one get over on me and be honest with what the issue was with my car. I was treated with the utmost respect! I can't emphasize that enough. I explained to Kevin what the issue was over the phone and he knew exactly what it was and was able to get me in that afternoon. Unfortunately, I wouldn't have a ride if I dropped my car off at that time so he allowed me to bring it the next day at 8am. He had given me a loose quote over the phone with the best and worst case scenario. Thankfully to expertise and knowledge I walked away with the best scenario and a huge relief. “My name is Patricia. I have a 550 BMW as you know this is a very expensive car. I took it to an import shop to get repaired on ninth Street. It’s at there for 3+ days. They didn’t even look at it. I told my girlfriend about it, she referred me to the shop. She says they take all their vehicles there. They were amazing within two days. My car was totally repaired. I was scared to get the total price of the car. It was a little over $1000 granite I live on a fixed income , I guarantee if I would’ve took this car anywhere else it would’ve been a lot more . I will never take my car to Valley BMW. All they do is overcharged on everything these gentlemen at this place were professional and got to my car immediately even though they had other cars they were working on also, they literally got the job done and I’m sure gave me a break because I know the work was more than they charge me. I had my car back with a day and a half. I am so grateful to this shop and feel so blessed that I had a girlfriend that knew where they would take good care of somebody that lives on a very tight budget , I got my baby back and I’m happy to say if you have an expensive car like mine that is very high maintenance and you want somebody to trust go to the shop they treat you right they do not try to overcharge they get it done and you will never go wrong get your car fixed here. “Honest mechanic owner, is replacing my bug 2 auto trans is one of the only shops that work on then. He diagnosed the problem and gave me the option s open to me and was honest as to which way to go new, rebuilt, or used based on cars milage he suggested the used route with a 6 mo warranty .”

“It's been a minute although I've had great luck with these guys. Infact had several transmissions rebuilt by them, sent several friends also. Years ago when I had my Acura transmission rebuilt I was so pleased I returned shortly later for my Dodge. I had also recommended these guys on Craigslist back in the day as at that time they were the only affordable place with a great warranty. Normally affordable and quality don't go together however these folks are amazing! Never did I have an issue since the rebuilds. Only visits were for maintenance. They were also quick, had the vehicles back with in a few days. Even after I looked over the work you couldn't even tell the transmissions had been removed as every was put back, secured and none of the bolts were stripped or rounded off. I knew the job was done tho as I checked in occasionally as it's hard to find a trust worthy shop. Mario and his Father make a great team.”
