Altura has helped me position myself for success as I have gotten more serious about proving myself and my career altura has found ways to make sure I had the means. Abraham has been relentless in helping me get my first car get funding for school and licensing fees as well as any refi I wouldn't recommend putting your money and trust anywhere else

Greg Rexroad and Jasmine Gray are the ultimate team if you're in the mortgage market. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for their incredible patience, attentiveness, tenacity and amazing service. Could not have made it through this without you two. THANK YOU!

This review is not about this branch, its about the whole organization. I had a fraud committed to me, my new Altura ATM card was stolen in the mail. I noticed that a check was deposited via ATM (not by me), If I remember correctly it was for $1000.00 and then this scammer withdrew $500.00. So essentially they stole $500 from me, at the time I had roughly a $2000 balance. When I called to report the fraud, I was the one who was accused of the fraud by Altura. They claim that the new ATM card can only be activated with personal details like the last 4 of the social. They never bothered to review the ATM machines video or even bother looking into the possibility that they might have a crook employee. Instead I lost out on $500 and they closed my account because they deemed me "High risk". Do not bank here if you want your money to be safe.

THE WORSE customer service I have ever experienced. I rarely say that about any institution given that I don't get annoyed that easily. I understand they have to verify information with customers before doing any kind of over the phone transactions, etc. But when it comes to a simple car loan payment you would think it would be easier than withdrawing or transferring money between accounts. I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes trying to make a car loan payment, giving the agents the correct account number and member number, etc. I finally explained to the last agent I spoke with how I was transferred to the wrong department, rolled back onto the system again and wait for another 20 minutes for the next agent only to be told that I did not have the correct loan account numbers and need to be transferred to another agent. Ended up with the last agent screaming at me to "JUST GIVE ME THE ACCOUNT NUMBER" - while I was explaining to her what was happening and I do not want to be transferred again, PLEASE!That was a really long stressful phone call. So! All this happened because they placed a red flag on my account because I did not get back to them in time with a verification amounts of deposits / withdrawals into my other bank in order to have automatic payments withdrawn from that other institution. I finally learned all this after asking for a supervisor as to why I was given the run around and being hung up on, transferred, and put back onto the system to wait for another agent. So, word to you all!! From my experience, get back to Altura ASAP when you get those verification deposits / withdrawals into your other back when making automatic payments. I guess it's their way of providing account security as much as possible to keep your personal information safe.

Altura is a great credit union. I’ve been a member since 2015 if I’m not mistaken. Lines aren’t long like other banks and they’re very resourceful when it come to their auto loans. It’s a 4 star for me though because I can never get ahold of their home mortgage loan person Tianna. I call about once a week for almost 2 months and leave all my contact information so she could get back. Her voicemail says she’ll get to you within 24-48hrs but it’s been 2 months. I wanna go with Altura for mortgage loans but I can’t ever get a call back unfortunately. Other than that Altura is a good CU, their Uphora CC has a low APR in my opinion and they started me off with a higher credit limit than I expected. Overall a 4 for me. This rating is based of their customer support not necessarily each branch, but nonetheless the branches I’ve gone to and they have all treated me fairly just as I would expect.

My buddy Greg suggested that I open an account with this credit union. I opened it over a year ago, and finally decided to use their services. I am happy that I did!!! Great terms, and their representative Priscilla Cisneros did an excellent job of keeping me informed and helping me. She even thanked me for helping provide the info she needed. I only did what I thought was the minimum, and she is so kind and appreciative that I will tell everyone that can join, that they should join. Greg R, thanks for suggesting that I open an account. Priscilla, thank you for your professionalism and dedication!!!

Horrible customer service. I asked for options for not able to pay my loan on time. The rep repeated after my statement "oh, so you can't make a payment and why?" Showed no empathy and was just cut throat. I never said I couldn't pay my loan, I can pay my load i just would not pay it on the payment date. Altura needs to re train their rep's. Don't sound so monotone and at least share a smile and be curious after the call.

Been with this bank for years. They are rude, bias, and no, they don't accept responsibility for their responsibility. They promise refunds, credits, and to help, then they say and do another. This bank is not for its members, has preferential treatment towards certain members and needs to work on ethics.

They don't accept responsibility for their mistakes and there have been a few in the 15 years we have been with them strictly as a matter of convenience. The last straw was when we deposited an insurance settlement check in my wife's account. We both banked with Altura but each have our own accounts plus a joint auto loan. The insurance check came in both our names and we deposited in my wife's account only to be returned. Third party check, they said. Just one example. So after 15 plus years of having our payroll checks directly deposited, we are moving on. Have since opened accounts with FirstBank and Capitol One 360 and extremely happy with our new banks; PLUS Cap One pays a higher interest rate.
