Last month, I was viewed as suspicious by two latino female workers (of all people) one who is older with an accent who profiled me and another with a long ponytail. I HATE pulling the race card, but sometimes it is like that especially these days which is insane and sucks to say. You can already guess my race. Anyway, I always get gas from this location and have for YEARS. So I decide to go in. I was just in the store the day before and had no issues so I came back because I work nearby. I come in to buy candy and as I was browsing trying to figure out which CANDY to get. In the corner of my eye I see a teenage girl in line look back, likely because she didn't hear me come in and was surprised. It was nothing, but both workers took that as I was stealing so one leaves the register to go back to watch me over surveillance, OVER CANDY. I worked in retail so I already know and I can tell in how the other one at register was acting.
I wore a knit sweater, green leggings, and a headband in a ponytail and I was looking at CANDY. Nothing suspicious about me for them to jump to me stealing... CANDY. Ever since the smash and grab videos some of these workers have been acting overzealous and racially profiling a lot. Like they do not care. I have been self checkouts and if I am the only black person I am stared at by the worker. I know a lot of people experiencing the same. I thought because I wore a mask I was profiled. I NEVER thought it was because I'm black. I take it off and I am experiencing the same treatment if not worse. I haven't been in a store for months, almost a year because I am profiled A LOT these days and it is why I avoid grocery stores. I order online and do curb shopping or instacart. It has gotten that bad. A lot of black people just accept it as a way of life, but I can never accept discrimination so I don't shop in stores. I NEVER thought I would be treated like this at a GAS STATION. Also speaking of masks, a man wore one in the store and was exiting as I came out. Both workers were at the registers meaning no one left to go watch him in the backroom and profiled him. I bet if I came in with a black mask I would have been instantly profiled.
The good thing about all of this is I did contact arco and they were understanding and relayed the message likely to the manager. They were fast in responding to me. They were great! But the two latina workers, be aware of them. There was no reason for them to jump to me being a thief over CANDY because the teen was looking. It is horrible to do. There are numerous reasons why people look. If I was not black I don't think they would have immediately jumped to her looking at me due to stealing. Also the way I was angled and I am a tall and overweight person the girl couldn't have even seen anything. The whole situation was just really insane and bizarre. I have never stolen anything in my life. I do not even have tickets, literally in nursing school, but still I am treated like a thief.
These days if I am the only black person in a store I know I am likely to always be watched and harassed which is why I avoid them as that has been my experience. Before the smash and grabs even as a black person I could say I have never been profiled, but now since the smash and grabs showing black people stealing, it has gotten too much. I am tired of being harassed.

Very nice and clean gas station, it’s in a nice neighborhood so you don’t have to worry about too much during the day, the air machine always work at this gas station, the inside is very clean and well organized.

Generally don't go to Arco but I stoped by here on my way out of town. The gas prices are not even that great and then they try to add on a charge to use a credit card sad sad sad. There was easy access to the pumps everything looked nice and clean. There is a car wash also on the premises so if that is something you're interested in this might be your spot. ??

Went to fill up my car with gas gas for Arco over 5 hours a gallon going to store to pay for my gas a young lady work there Hispanic lady very friendly very very nice very informative but before I got to her it was like maybe our owner of the store or partner a mature white lady very unfriendly kick me at the nobody was there kept me at the counter just waiting for service to pay for gas and then the last minute she decided that she didn't want to help me and she had to Hispanic lady helped me when she was very friendly and very nice the outside grounds were absolutely filthy all dirt just absolutely filthy grounds outside I would never go back to you again mainly because their Caucasian lady was so mean very rude if she's an owner she's a piss-poor excuse of being an owner but the worker which was Hispanic lady very friendly very very kind

This gas station is a joke, air pump machine is broken , no warning sign is posted " out service" before you put your money in, once you tell the clerk they don't even care, how many other drivers are falling into this trap? Good way to steal your money

We were looking to exchange our propane tank for our bbq and this store was charging almost double the price of any other store and taking advantage of the fact that some stores have run out of propane.
