California Citrus State Historic Park is a peaceful and beautiful place filled with orange, lemon, and grapefruit trees laden with fruit, especially during citrus season. Visitors can walk among the orange groves, enjoy the heavenly scent of citrus in the air, and take in stunning views from the hills. The park features a museum with the history of the groves and is pet-friendly, making it a great spot for walks and picnics. The park also has avocado trees by the dozens and offers the chance to try different types of oranges on guided tours. While the visitor center closes at 4 pm, the park remains a great place to relax and experience nature. Some visitors mention that the fruits are farm-picked and may include some old or stale ones, and that prices for other farm products can be high. Overall, it is a charming and enjoyable place to visit, especially during citrus season.
Beautiful historical park with a lot of Riverside history. I enjoyed walking through the citrus groves, learning about the area’s agricultural past, and taking in the peaceful surroundings. It’s a nice place to visit if you enjoy local history, nature, and photography.
