Extremely disappointed and annoyed!!!! We took our truck in Jan 2023 for oil leak. When we got it back still had same problem. There was fresh oil on our driveway. Few weeks later we took it back to Carmax. Fast forward, here we are a year later, March 2024 and still have yet to find what's wrong with our truck. Every time we call the rep always tells us someone will call us back. We don't get phone calls returned and we have to keep calling back and it's always "service dept is busy someone will call you back.." When someone does call us back it's the same sobbing story, our truck is getting worked on and need to find out why there's oil leak. (It takes whole year to check an oil leak?!?!? ) We are making payments on a truck we don't have and prior to taking our truck in, we got new tires and spent over $1000 on new tires for the truck. Would I had known Carmax would be keeping my truck for whole year I wouldn't have purchased new tires for my truck. At this point think Carmax should give us new truck or reimburse us for all the payments we made to a truck we don't have. Hopefully someone can call us back after this review. Mind you we have purchased 5 cars from Carmax due to the wonderful experience we have had so far but this is a joke. No truck for a year!!! Hopefully mileage wasn't put on my truck or taken for joyride. Carmax you can do better with your customers!!

It is a pleasure working with CarMax. My 1st experience was selling a car in Austin, TX - they met their bid price for the car and things were done quickly and efficiently. This time, I helped my daughter purchase a car in Riverside, CA. We found the car we liked in Palm Desert, Carmax shipped the car to the Riverside dealer at no expense to us, and we were greeted and ready for a test drive within 1/2 hour of arriving. Our sales representative and his trainee were very professional and thorough, and we moved through the financing process relatively quickly. Very, very happy with our experience!

Went last night. As my wife and I were looking the salesman just left. We had intent to by the QX-60 (cash), but once the salesman just left us completely… we decided to leave.The salesman was a taller guy (Joey?) with darker skin. (Not sure what ethnicity).I hope that this CarMax can learn to treat potential customers with respect rather than ditching the before even getting an idea of our intent.

Started via website - got my car value, went to CARMAX Riverside and was so very well and respectfully treated. Got full value, was in and out in about an hour. I WILL go to that facility to purchase my next vehicle after my divorce is final!!Thank you guys all so very much!Wes

My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the sales consultant that helped us. The sales consultant that assisted us, was Jose German. He took his time, advised us and use his expertise cars we should select. We eventually end up buying a fuel efficient 2014 Toyota Prius plug-in advance. Extremely satisfied with the purchase. This is the third car that we purchased from Carmax in the last five years. Excellent customer service! One note, we also received excellent service in the business office signing paperwork. The business office associates name was Celeste. She was great. Overall wonderful experience.

Paula at the Riverside Location was the best! I had been to two other locations, did not find what I was looking for and some of the sales people acted like they couldn’t be bothered. Paula treated us the same from when we were just looking to when we found and got a car! It’s been two months and I am still extremely happy! Everyone we came in contact with at that location are nothing but amazing! Thank you!

Overall the experience was good but the only request made was to have the battery on the remotes changed since it was showing to be low, but it was not done. It is a bigger hassle to drive back to get it done than to just replace it but I should not have to.
