I’m writing this review to express my deep frustration and disappointment with my experience at Chase. While the in-branch bankers I met were friendly and helpful, my experience with Chase’s online and phone support team has been a nightmare that has completely derailed my life.
I opened a student account, trusting Chase with my financial aid funds—the money I relied on for rent, school supplies, and daily expenses. But just one week later, they closed my account without warning due to ‘suspicious activity,’ a reason no one has fully explained. Despite numerous calls and attempts to resolve the issue, I’m still without access to my funds, and no one has provided me with a clear answer.
Because of Chase freezing my account, I couldn’t pay my rent and was forced to leave Riverside. I’m now homeless, with no stable place to stay, and my situation is made worse by the fact that I have to travel three hours each way just to attend my classes. It’s been exhausting and overwhelming, especially as a student already trying to manage school on limited resources.
What’s been most upsetting is that when Chase finally started responding, each representative I spoke to gave me a different answer on how to fix the issue. I’ve been bounced between departments, with no one taking ownership of my case, and no one providing consistent guidance. I feel like I’m not being seen or heard as a real person, and the lack of support has taken an emotional and financial toll on me.
I’m truly grateful to the in-branch staff for their kindness, but my experience with Chase’s online team has left me feeling helpless. I hope no one else has to go through what I’m going through, and I hope Chase rethinks how it handles cases like mine.
I would also like to thank Kristen Scott specifically for helping me with this issue for the past 2-3 months now.

This location does not have full bank functions available. They are not able to process cash transactions inside, which is weird for a bank. I wish that was clear before wasting my time heading to the bank. Not the fault of the folks inside though, they were very courteous.

I made a huge check deposit in person 2 days ago into SAVINGS ACCT. The check I used was from my own acct from bank next doors to this Chase. I am told that I cannot have access to my direct deposit pay from my employer into CHECKING ACCT until that check cleared. I spoke with Cece branch top person, she says there is nothing she can do. So, Chase will not let me have my own money from my pay check because I tried to deposit a huge check into savings?????. THATS MY MONEY THEY ARE NOT LETTING ME HAVE. I have been dealing with this bank close to 10 yrs now. I am pulling all my money out. TERRIBLE......

This branch is now an "express branch" according to the staff. What this means is there are no teller windows. I love coming to this branch. I do all my banking here! I am still able to be helped with everything I need. You can do almost everything from your phone or the ATM. The small percentage of things you cannot do, the staff is able to assist on their computers. You are only able to get cash from the atm which is believe is a limit of 4000$ but that's fine. If you need anymore that that it is a short drive down the road to the next branch. They help me with my cashiers check monthly and any issues that have been on my account they quickly helped and fixed any issues.

Froze all my accounts for 10+ business days blurry image! I scanned a check and they froze everything. Didnt just put a hold on the check all of my funds. The branch was not helpful and customer service was a joke. Do your banking elsewhere because the app is literally dangerous and the is no support. Shame on you! What if someone was in a delicate medical situation or traveling? They would be in serious trouble. Again, they froze all my accounts because of a blurry check image! Beware these guys are crooks

Not very happy with the changes they made at this bank and they cannot keep a darn appointment. What's the point of making an appointment and waiting weeks for them not to be ready for the appointment or on time. Still waiting on my appointment that was at 3:30 and it's about to be 4:30 now. Don't bother with this branch.

The agent Kristen Scott is really sweet! I had some issues about my credit card points. It was supposed to be an issue with their credit card department but she helped me in the branch, in stead of letting me call their credit department over the phone and be put on hold or transferred forever. She was extremely patient, kind, and professional. I really enjoyed the great atmosphere and assistance she provided at Chase!

Kept calling but no answer. Came all the way to find they have closed more than an hour earlier than their posted 'adjusted' hours.
